My friend Nancy and I came here for lunch on their Houston Restaurant Weeks special menu and we also let the server know that we will share everything. So the hotel only have valet parking on site. So we just park on the street next to the hotel. The hotel is very friendly to handicap accessibility and the valet staff are very friendly, they help us by open the door and and when we were leaving, they park a car in front of our car and some one came and help me to get in to car and then move the car in front of our so it is easier for us top get out. The restaurant is on the sitting feels a bit tight for some tables but I was able to get in and out easily. The service was fast and the starter we got French onion soup and oyster trio. The soup was just okay but the oyster was the bomb the presentation was splendid. For the main entree we got the charred salmon and roasted chicken, I didn't like the salmon here. Can confirm what others have said. Very lovely ambiance, middle of the road food, friendly but sub par service. It's a setting great for business meals, or enjoying some quieter conversation time with friends. For appetizers, we got the ceviche, crudo, and Caesar salad to share. The former two, very good. The Caesar was a big disappointment. Tiniest whole heads of Romain, the dressing lacked any punchiness. For the mains, I got the papparadelle with butter sauce. It was just ok. For the table we got the asparagus, wild mushrooms, roasted veggies, and polenta to share. The polenta and asparagus were delicious. The mushrooms had zero flavor at all, and the veggies tasted almost blanched, not roasted. The biggest disappointment was the polarizing service. While everyone was extremely kind and friendly, our waiter interrupted us mid conversation at least 6 times during the evening. We were visibly I. The middle of something and he would come by and just hover. The other weird thing that others have noted...folks came by to clear our plate before we were done. I mean it's one thing to ask first and THEN grab the plate, but to take it, then midair ask if we were done was just odd. I feel like I'm being generous by giving a 3, but the atmosphere really elevates the experience. My husband and I brought our adult goddaughter here for Sunday brunch. I had made a reservation, but when we arrived, the hostess seemed a little caught off guard. It didn't matter much since there were only three occupied tables, and both the restaurant and bar were nearly empty. I have to say...the design and décor are beautiful, stylish, and top-notch. Unfortunately, the service, food, and pricing brought the experience down a couple of notches. I ordered the Mansion Breakfast with a cup of coffee. The bacon tasted old, hard, overly crispy, and clearly not made to order. The eggs were overcooked, and the potatoes were plain with no flavor. The highlight was the sourdough toast, which was excellent. My husband ordered the quiche and thought it was just "okay." My goddaughter ordered a house salad, which came with the option of chicken, shrimp, or red snapper as a protein. At first, she decided to go without protein until the salad arrived. It was basically tossed spring mix with a few grated carrots. She added a side of snapper, which I suspect is what elevated the bill (though I couldn't tell for sure since the bill was not itemized). Unfortunately, the fish was not fresh. The fishy smell reached our table before it was even served. She only took a few bites and tried squeezing lime on it to help, but it didn't improve much. We should have sent it back, but I didn't want to make an issue of it. Our server was attentive, but the overall service was slow...though I'm not sure that was his fault. The setting is beautifully decorated and the tables are spaced out. We were the only guests on a Monday morning. It was quite chilly in the dining area. The menu over the years has dwindled. Do not ask for any variations from the menu because the kitchen stock has also seemingly dwindled. The eggs Benedict has become more and more bizarre over time. The biscuits and gravy used to be good, but they're gone now as well. The grits were excellent and the bacon crispy. The French omelet was lacking flavor of any kind. We had lovely breakfast here in the dining room that is in the mansion (apparently the hotel rooms and the apartments are in the Tower). It's such a lovely space with interesting, historical, and eclectic art pieces (paintings, sculptures, mixed-media, etc.). My breakfast was perfect: steel cut oats with oatmeal and a latte. Just perfect for a windy day in Houston. My husband was so intrigued by my order that he ordered the same! The service is great on a Weekday morning, since it's not crowded, but I can imagine this space getting crowded in the evenings. And, can I tell you, how nice the valet was?! It was raining cats and dogs when we arrived, and multiple valets came out to our with umbrellas to help us into the mansion. It was the best one can want on a rare windy and rainy day in Houston. Love this spot. It has such a wonderful ambiance inside. A twist on modern art deco. It is valet only, but it makes things a lot easier compared to trying to park off of a busy Houston street. The cocktails are thoughtful and somewhat complex, with a little bit of something for everyone on the menu. I had the Summer Peche, which was perfect. My husband also enjoyed his drink as well. For dinner I had the Summer Vegetables, which comes with parmesan-dusted gnocchi, and it was one of the best things I have eaten in a long time. Magnificent! My friends and I had a lovely dinner here during Houston Restaurant Week! First off, La Colombe d'Or Hotel is such a beautiful boutique hotel and their restaurant is worth the hype. We sat in their beautiful sun room during this visit. I had the chargrilled octopus, heritage chicken, and the raspberry clafoutis. The octopus was a large portion and was perfectly cooked. The chicken was very juicy, and again a larger-than-expected portion. Lastly, the raspberry clafoutis wasn't overly sweet and went perfectly with the vanilla ice cream. We also ordered their seafood tower to share, and it was a real treat! The seafood was so fresh and beautifully presented. Our server was very attentive, and valet parking is available. We had a great table in the front dining area near the beautiful chandelier. I'd love to sit there again. Service was solid, friendly and helpful. We never felt rushed and we pleasantly lingered. We had the crab appetizer that was delicious. Cross between a crab salad and crab cake. I had the corn ravioli that were delicious and quite filling. My friends steak looked good and the fries are delicious! I had their most popular martini drink, a lively bottle of Sancerre and closed with their Carajillo interpretation. All were good. I was really excited to give Tonight & Tomorrow a try recently. I loved the decor and the opportunity to experience the La Colombe d'Or. However, it did feel like Tonight & Tomorrow was a bit of a work in progress in a few ways. - The brunch menu is not available before 11 a.m. on the weekend, which was rather puzzling. Do note, if you reserve before 11 a.m., you will be limited to the breakfast menu only. Tonight & Tomorrow should really consider making brunch available at 10 a.m. - Would be great to see a dedicated breakfast/brunch drink menu. They do have the capability to make mimosas and other drinks, but they're not on a menu. - There's almost no fruit on the menu. It would be nice to have some fruit served with the breakfast/brunch items, or at least as a substitution for the potatoes. - The dining room had no background music, making it eerily quiet if nobody is talking. Food and drinks were good, decor was awesome, and I really appreciated that there was no fee for the hotel's valet parking (gratituity aside). A few small changes would make a big impact. Nestled in the historical home of one of Texas' most prominent oil titans, Tonight & Tomorrow is a unique experience that blends French influence, seafood, and an almost art deco ambiance together. I had the pleasure of dining here with my mentor, and our waitstaff was Atlee, who took our orders quickly, discreetly, and professionally. I ordered the king salmon, brussels sprouts, seafood platter, and chocolate mousse for dessert. The king salmon was excellently finished in a roll of what appears to be bamboo paper. The picture doesn't do it justice--it's moist, tangy, and pairs perfectly with the vinaigrette sauce. Not a hint of fishiness and every bit of umami. The brussels sprout appetizer is done with cranberry vinaigrette, and I honestly felt the tanginess was a bit much on this one. Sprouts themselves were roasted perfectly, but I would suggest playing with the sauce or providing options. The seafood platter had crab fingers, oyster, and a few others. Of note, the sauces really sell this dish. The cocktail sauce is standard, but the tartar and (real) horseradish really shine. Oysters were fresh and clean. Chocolate mousse for dessert was very dense, more than I am used to. It's very rich in flavor, and paired perfectly with the fruits on top. Diabetics beware! Overall, Tonight and Tomorrow is unique in its heritage and branding, stands out as a great French seafood restaurant, and made for an experience to remember. read more

Came here on a Sunday evening for dinner. They have street side parking and complimentary valet. The ambiance is beautiful - very refined, sleek, and elegant. We started with the crab ravigote, which was very good and flavorful. For entree, I went with the catch of the day (snapper), but I thought it was strange that they already had a snapper dish on their menu. Typically, I expect the special or catch of the day to be different from a fish already listed on their menu, but it came with different supporting characters...so I went for it. I thought it was really well executed. Service was friendly, and they gave us a tour of the hotel afterwards. The rooms are stunning. Also came here on a separate occasion for Sunday brunch. Ordered the chilaquiles, which I really enjoyed. The tortillas were crisp and contrasted nicely with the other components of the dish. Their cocktails are on point. I was looking for a nice restaurant to eat with my wife when we had someone watching the kids, and I came across Tonight & Tomorrow a long time ago and bookmarked it. It's part of a really nice B&B, with gorgeous decor, its an old charming mansion and that grandiosity definitely shows in the restaurant. The salad, pasta and cocktail were all absolutely top notch. We took advantage of their new 2 course lunch special and mostly likely everything we got. The descriptions were accurate, offerings were lively and flavorful, and wait staff (particularly Christian) were knowledgeable and inviting. On the fish sandwich, I will say the filet was a bit too big, I wish it was thinner so it wasn't so overpowering relative to everything else in the dish. It was generous to give such a thick cut but despite being part of a sandwich it was like eating the fish by itself, which wasn't what I was aiming for in this meal! Anyways I would definitely come again, maybe be more selective on what i order, but I do think I got what I ordered, just that I didn't make the best choice for myself! I dont usually give poor remarks to restaurants as I know the restaurant industry is competitive and times can be challenging, but certain aspects of our group dining experience led to the decision. If you see my attached photos you can see that there are two versions of French toast served. 1 was the expectation..a beautiful brioche toast. The other was the reality which was not bad BUT not as described and paled in comparison WITHOUT notice to the customer until I inquired about it. Yes, the entree was removed from the bill which was appreciated but I defer back to the point that the customer was not notified of any such substitutions being made until the staff was specifically asked. Following that, the duck confit gumbo was overly salted. Having dined in amazing establishments in both Louisiana and France, this duck confit gumbo did not bring forth any positive resemblance to either described. In addition, I had to go get my own spoon to eat it with as well. In summary, service and taste would benefit from an upgrade and a better attention to detail to correspond with the beautiful aesthetic this establishment offers. The chilaquiles sauce was amazing and this is coming from a very special Mexican who grown up eating chilaquiles ( I would even call myself a Chilaquiles connoisseur). I knew that La Colombe d'Or shutdown for a couple of years in order to complete a massive renovation by Sims Luxury Builders and Rottet Design, but I was truly blown away by the finished product. I am so pleased that they were able to maintain the true character of this historic mansion while also updating and becoming more accessible to the modern diner. The staff seems younger, diverse, extremely capable and definitely service oriented. Hands down the best hotel bar in the city... think Bemelmans Bar, New York City or Connaught Bar, London. Try the french onion soup, kale salad, gravlax carpaccio, steak frites, snapper, burger, pineapple cheesecake, popcorn ice cream... You WILL thank me later! We started on the front porch with an aperitif and our baby absolutely loved the new swing!!! The bar/lounge area is also beautiful, and I can see it as a nice spot for drinks. And the food is delicious. Of all the appetizers the pork was most amazing as it was soft and very flavorful 8/10. The crudos was 7/10. And the ceaser salad 5/10 it was quite salty for my taste. The stake Frits was okay. I also had the foie gras they paired it stone fruit, bourbon sabayon, and maple gastrique. The pairing of tart with foie gras was well paired. 9/10. The stake was most basic but the fries that pairs with the sauce of aioli was most amazing I had asked for more aioli sauce 7/10. Was excited to try this place out. Decor and vibe is very nice; however, food and drink was very, very subpar, and annoyingly overpriced. We asked waiter what he recommended - of course he just listed the entire menu. Then again, that didn't take long bc there isn't much selection, and what they have is super unimaginative (shrimp cocktail, carrots, steak frites, brick chicken, market fish, $66 lamb chops). First came the cocktails, which had almost no booze. Fiancée and I both ordered the Inez, which has tequila and mezcal. You taste mezcal. Not this time - was just a lot of syrup. Then the shrimp cocktail, which the waiter was taking up bc it has a Mexican-inspired sauce with a lot of flavor and some spice. Not true - it was regular cocktail sauce. The carrot app was actually the best thing we had - pretty decent flavor combo. I had the steak frites. I will say it was cooked properly (medium rare). But the beef was of relatively poor quality, and the fries and bernaise were cold. I had a glass of Nebbiolo that seemed to have come straight out of a box. Fiancée had a margarita and said it was very meh. I think the meal quality would be worth three stars, but for the ridiculous prices make it practically an outrage. I don't mind paying for quality, but the 8oz steak frites for $47 when the meat was prob from Kroger and the fries came cold is not worth the premium. Total bill for the aforementioned items was $150 without tip. Then, the valet took like 8 min to get our car. Too bad. Maybe they need a few weeks to get their act together, but the fundamentals were pretty bad so I don't have much faith. read more

Came in for breakfast on a Saturday, had heard some good things from some people...found myself underwhelmed. Service: While the staff themselves were very friendly, the service itself was very slow. I ordered a second Mimosa, we honestly thought they had just forgot I ordered one, since it took so long. The place was dead, so not sure what was going on. Everything just seemed a little slower than it should be. Food: I ordered the Chilaquiles and they were good. Nothing amazing, but a nice flavor and a good size (not sure if worth the $16, just a little overpriced). The Mimosas tasted a bit off to me, not sure if the champagne or the orange juice, definitely not my favorite I've had in Houston. Atmosphere: It's definitely a chill place. Lots of separate rooms with tables, so it's interesting. It was cute. Honestly just got the third star because the staff were very nice, but everything else just seemed blah. Really enjoyed my lunch here. With the renovation I knew I wanted to check out this spot. I absolutely love the classic vibes in the dining hall and their art pieces.
