Quality of Work - Never a complaint. Brian does a very thorough job checking checking the machine and only repairs that which needs it. He is very fair and let's you know if anything above and beyond needs to be addresses. Our machine is 14 years only and still running great. Customer Service - Brian truly is very friendly. Very easy to talk to and will answer any questions that we might have. He is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. Location - A bit hard to find as Kirby Full Power is now located in the back of the 'strip mall' on the corner of Virginia and Main in Crystal Lake. But things are very well marked with signs pointing to the back of the building. Not really a problem once you've been their.... I know that things are a bit crazy right now as they have just moved but Brian knows where everything is and will get the job done. read more

Polite, informative, helpful, and kind are the words to describe my customer experience at Kirby Full Power in Crystal Lake,IL. Brian's knowledge and experience allowed me to make the best decision to drastically improve my Kirby G4 machine. I went with the Super Best Tune-up including a new front end assembly with the newer brush/roller design for improved cleaning. I tried it right when I arrived home. I am thoroughly impressed. You could go buy a brand new machine of different brand at a local box store for the same price as this tune up.....only to be required to buy a new one every 3 years due to lack of performance. So let me tell you my experience with Brian from Kirby Full Power; we received a gift from my aunt....a Kirby G6 vacuum....one that didn't power on, in fact it hadn't worked in years but she assured us that it was worth fixing. So we did our research and called Kirby dealers near and far. We live in Burr Ridge, Il and found a Kirby service center that would come to our home pick up the vacuum cleaner take it back to their shop, repair it and deliver it to us without us ever leaving the comfort of our home. However they allowed me to tell them the service I wanted even though I explained that the vacuum was a gift and I didn't know the difference between a Kirby and a hoover. After numerous calls, my last call was to Kirby full power because my aunt had serviced the vacuum with them and had a service sticker on the vacuum. I called, Brian answered and spent about an hour with my husband trouble shooting the vacuum. We were quite surprised that anyone would spend that much time trying to help somebody they never met or did business with before and not expect to get compensated for their time. Needless to say when we couldn't figure out why the vacuum wasn't powering on my husband put it in the car and we drove an hour and a half to Crystal Lake, Il to bring it to Brian to repair. As luck would have it, an unexpected financial problem presented itself and we had to curtail all discretionary expenses to tend to the matter. I called Brian and told him that we unfortunately needed to pull the purse strings tight for the foreseeable future until we took care of the unexpected repairs at our house. We drove out the following Saturday to pick up the vacuum and had totally expected that the vacuum would not work until our finances recovered and we could repair it. When we arrived Brian was delivering a vacuum to another customer and when he finished he turned to us and told us that he had some old parts in his warehouse and replaced the parts that prevented our machine from powering on. He turned the vacuum on and showed us how to operate it and even gave us a Kirby vacuum bag. I asked how much we owed him and that's when he earned my business......he said he wasn't planning on charging us anything. We insisted and gave him 20.00 dollars for his trouble. He not only earned our trust and respect but he also earned our business......even though we have to travel through hill and dale to get to his shop. He is a keeper. Thank you Brian! read more

I stopped by Kirby Full Power in Crystal Lake a week ago when my vacuum wouldn't run. Brian quickly diagnosed that I needed a new cord. While there, he also spent a few minutes making sure everything was in working order as I hadn't been back to his shop for quite some time. I mentioned that I was going to be cleaning my carpet soon, and Brian offered to remind me about the proper steps. He even suggested I video his demonstration and conversation so I could refer back to it at home. I was so impressed with how he stopped what he was doing to spend time with me to make sure I used my machine properly. Thanks, Brian! I appreciate your help and will be back! read more

I give this company 0 stars. I had to select 1 star so that I could submit, but honestly I RATE them with ZERO STARS! Horrible experience. The customer service is pushy beyond pushy and won't stop calling until you pick up and make an appointment. And they treat you like crap after you actually paid for the overpriced vacuum when you call to ask questions. Do yourself the favor and tell them to leave you alone and stop calling!! All they do is lie and lie. My DYSON was so much better and quiet too. Save yourself the money and get yourself a dyson. They make you believe the Kirby is better, but it really isn't. They will do anything to get the sale. You're nothing to them once they actually get the sale. Rude and I don't understand how they can get away with treating customers so poorly and still be in business when there are so many more complaints. read more
