There were four or five crispy boneless chicken pieces that had a unique flavor and it was tender and fresh, I really enjoyed it and will come back just for this. I also tried the curry chicken ramen. It was a big bowl with a large portion size. The broth was tasty with a little heat but not too spicy. The broth was kind of thick almost like a gravy. Would not have ever noticed this if not for Yelp. It's in the little strips with HCT and Northstar, etc. The sign on the building says Chatime, but the one on the door says Kirin, so, I guess it's both? Two restaurants in one! Anyway, they have both tea and food. Parking out back in the big lots, and a little out front. Walking in, the huge menu on the wall shows lots of tea options, no food, but they do have a printed food menu. The space is bright and clean, not huge but big enough for busy times (if they ever come again.) Lots of interesting stuff on the menu, so I picked several. The scallion pancakes were excellent: perfectly cooked, tasty. Small portion, though. The egg rolls looked way overdone but were not bad, the crunchiness working with the veggies inside. Came with a slightly spicy dipping sauce. The chapagetti was a sort of upgraded ramen. It was on the "dry noodles" part of the menu, I think, but there is some broth so you'll need the spoon. Good noodles, crumbled slightly-seasoned beef, a few veggies. Very good. And a good portion. All in all, very good food, good service, smallish portions, high prices. I spent $30, though I was stuffed and had an eggroll left to take to work. Drinks, besides tea, are pop in cans- for $2.50! Yikes. I had some, and got a tea for the road- chocolate hazelnut. Essentially like an iced coffee. I am not a big tea person, but they have a great selection of all kinds of tea, plus smoothies. We came on a Monday night. Moderately busy. We got the gyoza and shoyu ramen. Gyoza we're really good but suspiciously similarly shaped like soup dumplings. Still mouthwatering crunchy pork dumpling. 5/5 great Shoyu ramen overall was deceptively simple but absolutely complex with a solid broth to bring you home. Served pipping hot, the broth had me with bonito, kombu, soy sauce, pork. Light and savory. Great for handovers. The accessories synergy of crunchy sweet bamboo and sharp spring onion was superb. Noodles we're mildly over cooked noodles but plenty. Chashu was good flavor but not broiled and a bit on the dry side. Boiled spinach meh. Ambience perfect for a date, quiet, romantic, good lighting to look a lover in the eyes and see your food! 6 double boothed tables in the back. One super long table with 16 person capacity. Straight from the motherland! As authentic as one could hope for at least. The Shio Ramen was delicious and packed with a verity of flavor. The boiled egg looked suspect but turned out to be the best damn boiled egg I ever had (soft boiled). There was a diversity of folks slurping away so I felt right at home. Small little hole in the wall with very little privacy but a great feel. One can ball out on a budget if they wanted to. Service was excellent so I hit shorty with a 30% tip. They had a lot of things on the menu and I asked the server a couple of questions about their ramen. They could not answer any of them - I wish they knew a bit more about their products. I ordered soup dumplings as well as the salt ramen with extra noodles. Soup dumplings were ok, but the skin was very fragile so I had to put the whole thing in my mouth (if I put a hole or try to have it in a couple of bites, they fall apart and all the soup spilled). Some of the noodles of the ramen were all clumped up. It was salty but not much flavor. They put a whole slice of chicken breast. I was expecting just bland meat, but far from that. Very savory and juicy. The shoyu is new to me. Didn't know what to expect but it had a nice thick piece of pork in the middle (sorry got a little excited and jumped right in) that was cooked perfectly. Flavor was plentiful. I loved the broth. I ended up just drinking some of it after all the actual food was gone. The bitterness of the spinach is easily balanced with the broth so you can just take a mouthful of it and not worry. We found this place through the American Airlines dining website and it was definitely further from central Columbus than we thought.. That being said, I am glad we made the trip! This place a very casual ramen bar that had a very diverse menu, which included sushi, bao buns and more. Some have complained that it seems overpriced, but I don't think so. We got two sushi rolls, a couple appetizers and split the Classic Miso Ramen. My only complaint would be that the Ramen did not have much pork but everything else was so good that I think it still deserves 5 stars. Definitely try the Chicken Karaage (never heard of it before bt it was good). It came out really hot but was cooked to perfection. They also have a very nice outdoor area, even if you are just looking at High Street. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area that has not stopped in for sushi or ramen! read more

Pleasant surprise here! We split a ton of random stuff to try as much as we could. The appetizers were absolute hits! We got the pork fried gyoza, pork xiao long bao, spicy tuna on crispy rice. Everything was stellar and I'd definitely come back for those. We also got the basic pork ramen. Was good, but my personal presence for ramen and expectation was different. Pork was a little dry too. Don't think I'd order ramen again, but definitely the appetizers are worth the visit. I was also a little let down that there weren't more noodle dishes! I tried the tomato and cheese ramen. Definitely a bad choice ! Looks delicious but tastes like canned veggie soup with melted cheese, some extra flavor and some pieces of dark meat chicken. Came here on a warm day to eat ramen ha ha ha but glad we did! Had an enjoyable experience here. We were able to get free parking in the back at ~6:45 pm on a Monday. It was crowded! We ordered when we walked in and then we were able to get a seat in the back. They also had a couple outdoor seats but it was hot outside. I ordered the Ajo ramen and really liked it! The taste was good with the chicken and vegetables. I really enjoyed it! It was also pretty filling and I was able to take leftovers home! The mean was ~$13. Meeting a friend on a Tuesday here was not the best of both worlds: Kirin Noodle does not offer their sushi or poké bowls on Tuesdays - big bummer. Their pork bun was good, but the bun itself lost its softness pretty quick, which always leaves my tastebuds a bit confused. The pork gyoza were solid; nothing outta this world, but I was not disappointed with the flavors and textures. Would I come back? Honestly, no. I'm not a ramen fan, and that's a staple of Kirin, so that's a given. And their very limited menu offerings were a bummer. Haven't gone in first time ordering it from DoorDash today. I ordered the shoyu ramen and it's quite disappointing. Just a big ball of spinach thrown in with a bunch of bamboo shoots. The soft boiled egg I ordered with it was overdone for my liking and the parts of the yolk that rested on the noodles I ate didn't taste right. The broth is actually really good but that's about the only redeeming quality besides the chashu. The two chashu pork buns I got were delicious though. I wish I could give half reviews, but I can't, so I generously am giving a 4 star. We only came for food, so this is what I'm basing my review upon, though the tea/smoothie beverage menu is extensive and sounds delicious. So. We wanted 2 orders of tonkatsu ramen with the pork as protein. The cashier had trouble with the menu and we had to say what we wanted a few times and pointed on the menu what we wanted. She told us she's not very familiar with the food menu...which is cool, I get it. We were understanding. When we paid, it seemed a bit expensive but we could only see the price, not the items ordered. It seemed to take forever to get our food and when it came out, we had not only our ramen but a plate with breaded pork, rice and broccoli. Seems that she got our order wrong after all, but we ate it all anyway! That pork was good and hot, the rice was plain white sticky rice and plain, unseasoned broccoli. I'd have been disappointed if that's what I had ordered by itself. Now the ramen tasted amazing. It redeemed the other, misordered menu items...but like another reviewer mentioned, it isn't hot! It was tepid at best. If the flavor wasn't so good, I'd have been super pissed. We were hungry and it was good so we ate it, but I REALLY hope they fix the issue with serving barely-warm ramen. I went on a late lunch date with my boyfriend today at Kirin noodle and it was a great experience. This restaurant is located in Grandview with a parking lot located behind the restaurant. The inside had cool decor and our server was very sweet and attentive. I had the Tan Tan Men Ramen and the pork bao buns. The ramen was amazing. It was spicy but had a hint of sweetness to it. The ground beef and spinach went well with it and the noodles were great. The bao buns were delicious, sweet, and filling. My experience was great from the service to the food. The tuna crispy rice was a huge portion which is great usually, but for something like this, I wish it would have been in smaller pieces. Three giant pieces are just hard to eat and not as enjoyable when you have to cut into them. The spicy miso was just alright. I wanted more flavor in the broth. I added chicken thigh to mine but was unaware that it already comes with that? I also added corn which was an increase in price that seemed silly. The two pieces of chicken that I ate were so chewy in texture that I did not eat the remainder of my chicken. The packaging of the food was great and my order was ready promptly. After visiting Chatime several times for boba tea, I finally decided to try Kirin Noodle takeout food yesterday. . I was pleasantly surprised by the pork dumplings, and they are nice, tasty and cheap! The Egg rolls had tons of meaty filling but were a little overcooked and over spiced. I would love to try their soups or soup dumplings in the future! As always, my go to is Taro milk tea, and it is perfectly made at this location- I ask for medium sweetness and it's great! Takeout process was super timely: I scheduled it for 7:50 specifically after my dance class down the street finished and it was ready and hot for me when I arrived with utensils and everything all sealed up! I saw some friends post a picture of the dumplings and noodles on Instagram so I decided I need to come try! The inside of the restaurant is very clean and bright. You get the colorfulness of their menus to the wood walls filled with post it notes that people have drawn or wrote on. The ambiance is very casual so it is a nice place to catch up with a couple of friends. Their food menu has a variety of Chinese/Taiwanese based dishes which I appreciate. They even have the xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and beef noodle soup! Both are very popular Taiwanese dishes. We were seated right away and the waiter got us waters. A few moments later he came back to get our food orders. We ordered the beef noodle soup ($12), spicy lobster over rice ($15), and soup dumplings ($5). The waiter said that if we post a photo of the soup dumplings on social media that it would be complimentary. Don't have to ask me twice because I post photos of my food anyways so it was a nice surprise!! The food came out about 20 minutes later and our soup dumplings came out about 5 minutes after our entrees. I guess soup dumplings do take some time to steam so just a heads up if you expect them as an appetizer. The beef noodle soup was alright. I thought the broth was very oily and slightly watered down. When I eat a bowl of beef noodle soup I am expecting a punch in the face of flavor from the broth. I will say that noodles seemed to be house made and were chewy!! I absolutely loved the noodles. The beef was tender, but I wish they put in a little bit more bok choy. The bowl was $12 which seemed like a lot considering there was not much meat or vegetables in it. My friend said there was so flavor to her lobster bowl and all she was able to taste was spicy - no salt, seasoning, etc. The soup dumplings were pretty good and I appreciated that they were bite sized. What would make them better is more soup on the inside because that's what makes it a soup dumpling. After our meal we got a tea. I got the passion fruit green tea ($4) with half sugar.
