Although they don't have a huge dim sum menu, the limited options help me to decide quickly (one of everything). Its the closest dim sum place and its always ready when they say it will be. Really love the pork soup dumplings, BBQ pork bun, scallion pancake (beware its a bit greasy) and the chicken dumplings. Also the pork rib noodle soup is amazing. Went there for lunch with my Japanese husband. Ordered regular miso and Ajo ramen, and Chasiu buns. The noodle is very au dente, which is what we prefer. Miso broth is good but missing the depth of the really good ramen broth. Ajo broth is ok, didn't make an impression on us. Chasiu buns seemed like it's reheated from frozen (which might be fair because it didn't say handmade/homemade). Saturday afternoon we stopped in for a late lunch and ordered basic chicken, basic miso and tam tam ramen. They were all delicious and fresh. My favorite was the miso with the pork belly and an extra egg. The tam tam is different from anything else I've ever had-- and it definitely grows on you to the point you can't stop eating it. Who knew ground beef could go in ramen? The noodles themselves are the perfect consistency. The bowls are really big and can easily make for 2 meals. Next time we'll have to try the sushi and sides. This little gem was hiding in Clintonville for a while before I discovered it. My family and I had three different kinds of ramen--all of us slurped them up like no one's business. Pork buns were heavenly. And the space itself is pretty upscale, given the fact that you order at the counter. This reminds me a bit of Meshikou and Fukuryu Ramen . . . in a good way. Finally made some time to try Kirin Noodle. I love the pearl milk tea here. Popcorn chicken was delicious and exactly how it should be (crispy and aromatic from the five spice). Pan fried dumplings were juicy. I just wish they were crispier on the bottom. The chapghetti had perfectly cooked noodles, but the sauce lacked flavor. Very surprised they have soy sauce and vinegar at each table but no chili oil! Soup dumplings were just okay because they weren't as soupy as I imagine they would be. In fact, my pan fried dumplings were juicier than the soup dumplings. The 2 things worth ordering again were the popcorn chicken and the pearl milk tea. read more

I ordered a pick up order of the xialongbao from Kirin with high hopes of it being fresh and house made. I had read some of the previous reviews and was expecting good things. It was disappointed to see that these soup dumplings were the same ones I can buy from Trader Joe's and reheat at home, a fine option but disappointing nonetheless. Sushi rolls were both good as well but nothing better than the sushi from the Kroger deli. Again, the food was okay and was well packaged but nothing to write home about. Broth had a good, rich flavor. LOTS of noodles (more than I feel like I typically get). We've debated on coming here a while and I am so happy we did. We also shared the pork buns, which were different the most that I've had, being that the buns were pretty cakey, however the contrast between the sweet bud and the savory filling was great. I myself got the spicy miso ramen. Unlike most ramen I've had, the veggies, and meat were mixed into the soup as opposed to being portioned on top. We've been to the Chatime near OSU campus many times. The experience at that one overall is great. However, this new location really disappointed us! It literally took 30 mins to get my drink when I went there last time. Today, We ordered mousse and the attendant said she cannot make mousse and her boss just left. We tried items off the recently expanded ramen menu, namely the Ajo, Tomato Cheese and Miso ramen. All were huge portions and delicious! The tomato and cheese was very unique, but comforting. We also got the crystal shrimp dumplings and golden lava buns (surprisingly sweet and delicious, like cake batter). They are definite better the one by OSU. There are so many selections of bubble tea. I have yet so find a favorite. However, I do not like the taro pudding tea maybe because I got less sugar. Furthermore, they also sell foods too. Their ramen is very cheap and good. I definitely recommend popcorn chicken and tonkatsu ramen.
