When researching various property management companies, Good Life's approach was the most straightforward and transparent with no long term commitments. After speaking with them multiple times with various questions, I was left with a feeling of assurance that I was in good hands. Being a first time landlord, I have no experience in knowing how to screen tenants, knowing the rules, etc., especially when my background is not in the real estate and rental business. Having a busy work schedule also means that I won't likely be able to attend to the tenant's needs in a timely manner. This is where Good Life fills in the gaps for me. The team at Good Life during the onboarding process has been super helpful and efficient in getting the property ready, whereas it would've taken me ages in trying to do it myself. I was assigned Andrei as my property manager and it's been a great start. He has been open, transparent, professional, and great to work with since the start. I recently had an online shopping shipment mis-delivered to my rental property, to which Andrei was instrumental in helping to coordinate the handoff between the tenant and me. Even though Andrei is my primary contact, I can see that they have great teamwork. On one weekend, I had a question to which I received an out-of-office note from him. But rest assured, another team member stepped in that day during his time off to help with my question. Good Life also has a great online portal for me to see all the documents and tax information. Their services have impressed me since the beginning, and I look forward to a great relationship moving forward. Keep up the great work, Good Life! I highly recommend them!

If there are issues or updates, they email, text, and/or send info via owner web portal. Savannah has been our point of contact at Good Life. She is the best! Very friendly and always follows up with our questions/requests. We've had a few repairs that our tenants needed. Chi (Maintenance coordinator) handled them smoothly and kept me informed. Again, great communication. Love the financial summary (and receipt) at end of year for our tax accountant. Documents are nicely arranged on the owner web portal. Love it. And...always like Steve's informative emails and YT videos on regulations and tips.

The company obviously doesn't care about health measures as it was an honor rule for masks. The only time there was a representative out there, it was from only 1pm-4pm. Realtor was kinda rude to us as he wanted the house cleared for an open house (again why?). If you wanted the house cleared and not have a line of people outside, then it should have been on the posting. All in all, pretty much what I expected from them, Low standards.

I used them to rent a house many many years ago. It doesn't sound like their customer service skills have improved over the years. If you're renting out your property, they might be a good choice because they don't care about renters. If you're renting through them, consider yourself WARNED. They may be nice before you sign the contract, but they totally turn rude and unresponsive when you need something done. When I moved in, of course after paying in full, they continue to send contractors to work on the property. Obviously the house wasn't completely ready to be rented, but I didn't know better to ask about it (who would?). Communication was always UNcourteous, and they even hang up the phone on you. I dealt with Dave and his wife back then. When I gave a notice of not renewing the lease, they treated me like their worst enemy. They're RUDE and NON-caring. They nickel & dime to suck every penny out of your deposit after no maintenance or updates. Seriously, be warned if you're thinking about renting from them. Back when I was in your situation, I didn't even know about Yelp or other review sites if they existed. I know San Diego's housing condition has gotten tougher and tougher, but unless you're completely desperate, calm down and look around and check on realtors' reputation. They're NOT the only realtor, their property is NOT the only one in the area, and most importantly remember that You are a CUSTOMER who should be treated as such. They're NOT doing you any favor, although they try to make you feel that way. I'm really surprised this family is still in business. They don't even treat renters as humans.

It's the team approach in which the prospective tenants are assessed, the rental property is checked out, and the needs and/or improvements are recommended. Staff have exceptional customer service in procuring acceptable tenants, making recommendations about site needs and improvements and taking care of arranging work when necessary, and handling a variety of situations that occur periodically. Loan has been our primary contact and she has consistently been helpful explaining and resolving issues that occasionally arise. She is engaging and thorough and professional in all interactions. At this juncture, we have relatives moving in to our property for an undetermined length; however, should the property go back on the rental market, we wouldn't hesitate to reconnect with AHP, Team 11, in the future. Thank you Loan, Kevin, & Brian for the excellent care that you've provided. This property management company, American Heritage Properties, is highly recommended.
