Loved Kitchen 1883! I had the Shrimp and Grits, which were awesome and a side of their Cali-Sprouts... so, so, good (A must if you like brussel sprouts). Great beer and drink menu. Our group appreciated that it was quiet inside and we could hear each other easily. What a find!

At first I couldn't find it. Then I saw the sign and thought it was inside of Kroger. It is not but does have a weird way of getting inside of it. Came in today to try a new place while visiting someone who lives nearby. They must have been short staffed because a bunch of tables were free and empty but were told it would be a 10 minute wait. Was eventually seated. Service was very slow. Was expecting more of a lunch menu with sandwiches but it was more of a brunch/breakfast menu so I ordered breakfast. Potato's and toast were on point. Sausage and eggs were meh. Restaurant seemed to be on the smaller side. I don't think I would drive out of my way or make a point to eat here again.

Salmon on a bed on coconut rice, mushrooms and sauce. Very tasty.

Sat at the bar, nice view of the kitchen. Very quiet staff, so that means they know their job and work well together. Food was top notch, more like fine dining. Relaxed atmosphere, many kids with parents. Friendly place.

The recipes are so well put together. Everything I put in my mouth bursted with flavor... WOW We had their wings as appetizers, they were so delicious. For entrees, we had fried cod (the best), salmon (so tasty) and steak. While I didn't taste the steak, my grandson ate everything on his plate. I saw the reviews and decided to visit... so glad we did! I'm not a local but if I were, I'd be a regular patron! I had a really full tummy, but couldn't resist dessert . I ordered key lime crème brûlée, and the guys had the chocolate cookie. I give 5 stars to the chef, the mastermind behind the SCRUMPTIOUS food served. The chef is a genius

Delicious food, exceptional service! Stopped in for a quick birthday dinner and we were not disappointed!

Incredible food and an awesome staff! They are turning it out - dine in, carry out and curbside. I couldn't believe the volume they were doing,. And the flavors...amazing. Went with 2 apps - wings and the roasted brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Both were incredible. All sauces are scratch made, and the combination of flavors is outstanding. I couldn't get enough of either. It's attached to Kroger, don't let that dissuade you, pure gourmet eats await you inside, then you can go walk it off in Kroger.

Don't be turned off by the location, next to Kroger at end of strip mall, facing parking lot. Actually, the free parking is a plus. We had lunch on the patio. It was breezy& partly cloudy so not bad. It may be brutal when it is sunny & warm. Our waitress,Connie, was delightful & helpful. We both ordered house salads with house made dressings with added protein. OMG!!!! Delicious. Seriously. Fresh greens & vegetables. And those cornbread croutons.....too good. The steak was tender & cooked perfectly. The salmon was flaky, moist and seasoned perfectly. We ate every bit of food on our plate. Perfect portion. You probably get the jest by now, everything was PERFECT.

I'm normally a fan of this place especially their brussel sprout salad but today when we placed a pick up order the jalapeños, shallots and Brussels weren't even crispy.. It was so odd tasting.

My burger was cooked perfectly and the service was fast and attentive. The restaurant is cute on the inside. The bathrooms were clean.

Service was great, but the food had zero flavor. Better off going to Sonic and having a meal.

The chop salad was very good. Our waitress was very pleasant. It was a comfortable little place to stop and have something to eat.

The Fat Man tries to find hidden gems, holes in the walls, or any small mom-and-pop establishment…read morewith good food. While traveling in northern Kentucky, he stumbled upon one of these places, The Farmstand Market & Cafe. Farmstand offers comfort food with a farm-to-table focus served in a cozy space with a bar and attached market. We started with the Goetta Hanky Panky Dip. This was made with cheesy goetta, bagel chips, pumpernickel bread, and light rye served in a cast iron skillet. The dip had a good sausage flavor with salt and some light spice while being cheesy, creamy, and full of flavor. The bagel chips were very crispy but were not served warm. The pumpernickel and rye were dry. Each complimented the dip, adding texture to the bite. My wife had the Reuben Sandwich. This sandwich came with sliced corned beef, homemade Thousand Island, pickled pig sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on light rye with bacon ranch pasta salad. The pasta salad was cooked spot on while also being creamy. The bacon added crunch and saltiness to the salad. The rye had a great toast, and the Thousand Island was tangy and creamy. The pastrami was dry but had a good salty flavor. The sauerkraut was crunchy and had a good sour flavor cutting through the salty meat and the sweet dressing. The cheese was gooey and nutty and added flavor to each bite. I sampled the French dip sandwich and Mulligatawny soup. This was prepared with a sliced top round with provolone on a French roll. The soup was prepared with rice, chicken, carrots, onions, celery, lentils and spices. The chicken was very tender, the rice was cooked well, and the vegetables added texture to the rice. The soup was flavorful, had a wonderful aroma, and had a good salt content. The top round was thin and offered good flavor and chew. The roll was fresh and had a good chew paired with the ooey and gooey cheese with an excellent buttery flavor. The au jus had good flavor but was slightly salty, which overpowered it. Farmstand offers grilled cheeses, hot sandwiches, burgers, salads, appetizers, soups and main entrees. They also serve beer and have a full bar. The servers were pleasant and knowledgeable. The Fat Man says that The Farmstand Market & Cafe is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.

The building is beautiful as is the interior. There are lots of little rooms and the tables are pretty tight. It was a bit difficult for wait staff to get around, but the service was still attentive. Two of us ordered the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich w/ fries. That darn sandwich was delicious!! It was sticky as all get out, but it was delicious! I'll apologize now; my pic is so blurry I hesitate to post it, but I'm going to anyway. The other person having the Pork Tenderloin also enjoyed it. Mark ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown. He said it was loaded with ham and it was salty. He finished every bite, but he did say he wouldn't order it again. One person loved her Cod (she didn't eat the bread) and another said the shrimp and grits were very good. The menu has lots of options. I mentioned we would be happy to come back sometime for dinner. We bought some chocolate cookies (they are by the hostess podium) on the way out. They had a nice chocolate and salt flavor, but should have had more chips.

So either it's just not popular for lunch or it was just an off day. Our group ordered and we were relieved as 4 more patrons walked in... But even during our stay, no more people came in. Well... Our group ate our words and stuffed our faces with some really good barbecue. We all mostly got sandwiches but these sandwiches were huge honking sandwiches. I think our waitress said it was half a pound. I ordered the brisket sandwich and macaroni and cheese. The mac and cheese was creamy and warm. I was hoping for a sharper bite of cheese flavor but it was still good nonetheless. The brisket sandwich was really really good. It wasn't sliced brisket but was more "pulled" consistency, like pulled pork. It was moist and tender (not dry at all). The sauce was perfectly sweet and complimented the smoky, rich brisket. My colleagues couldn't finish theirs but one ordered the chicken sandwich and another a pork. All of them were pulled consistency and had excellent flavor of their respective meat (chicken and pork) but I preferred the brisket. Do yourself a favor if your craving barbecue and come to Smokin' This and That!

Overall atmosphere is a bit over the top. Pros: The ribs were meaty, the pork sandwich was piled high. Cons: The coleslaw was mushy and tasteless, the Mac and cheese was inedible, 2 different beers we tried were flat, we did not like the BBQ sauce.
