I don't understand the average 3 star review. We have had other contractors with their subcontractors in our house and that was a disaster and extremely frustrating. Our experience with The Kitchen Experts of California has been hands down the BEST contractor experience we have ever had. Are there bumps, yes. Am I super picky and demanding, yes. Have they ever said no or been unreasonable, absolutely not. Our kitchen remodel and bathroom addition started in 2019. By by mid 2020 we finally had four quotes. One from a Berkeley firm that was immediately tossed because the price was so outrageous. One from a general contractor and we said we could not go through that again and the mystery of add-ons was frightening, one was a "direct competitor" of the Kitchen experts, but we had an off-putting vibe from the initial meeting. And by far our meeting with Johnny clicked immediately. When we got the Kitchen Experts quote it fell in line with two of the other quotes and having a guaranteed project manager was the tipping point for us. So, in August 2020 we signed the contract, picked our flooring, cabinets and other goodies, all with the specter of Covid in the background, then the world really did fall apart with Covid. Fortunately, the Kitchen Experts didn't. They kept pushing through. We're we nervous, hell yes! Did we call them constantly, of course. And they would keep us informed. We were in the new Covid waiting room. On July, 30, 2021 they started demo. They even allowed me to take Timelapse video of the progress and it was incredible, the attention to detail was by far a thing we have never experienced with any other contractor. Bottom line, they gave us a gorgeous kitchen and bathroom. And any hiccups we had were resolved in a timely manner. We could not be happier. So happy, we recommended them to Gina M., check out her review on their bathroom. I ain't kidding. We are very happy. I really wish yelp allowed longer and proper aspect ratio videos.

Kitchen Experts made my kitchen remodel experience very painless! I had a flood in my kitchen that forced me to have to remodel, and I had NO idea where to begin! 2 years later, after living in a halfway torn up kitchen, I found Kitchen Experts. Their lead designer Johnny Gonzalves helped me to create a vision for my kitchen. I didn't know where to begin, but Johnny's design and layout gave me a floor plan that I could never have imagined on my own. He guided me through the process of selecting cabinets, countertops, flooring, and all the appliances and cabinet features. I picked everything out in 1 day thanks to Johnny and their amazing showroom! The flow is now incredibly efficient and I love alI the slick features he turned me onto. I love even more that KE is a one-stop shop and my kitchen, which was a complete gut-job, was complete in 5 weeks! The foreman Efrain was great to work with and responsive to all my concerns during the construction process. My kitchen is my new happy place and I couldn't be more pleased! Highly recommend Kitchen Experts if you want the work done quickly and need help visioning and designing what your new kitchen could be!

If you have had any construction done to your house before, you know that the process can be a roller coaster but with Kitchen Experts, you'll have someone holding your hand next to you the entire ride. And that was so comforting. I would highly suggest that any verbal agreements that you make with any of the staff be documented in email because there is so much going on all the time and it's good to leave a paper trail. We worked with Dean, Tim, Denise, and Claudia from the office and the ladies were rockstars!! They responded promptly and called back in a timely manner. I could always count on them. I think that Dean and Tim were just so busy with other projects that responses were confused and delayed at times. But Denise was assigned specifically to us so her support and advocacy made the whole process so smooth and enjoyable. They understood that we worked hard for the money we were investing into our kitchen and were able to really support us. For those who were actually working on constructing our kitchen, I hope they all get bonuses because the work they achieved went above and beyond what we thought we could achieve in our house. Felipe, our foreman was a B O S S. And Elvis was a rockstar. We felt so safe and we were able to visit the store and pick out and feel the materials that we wanted in our kitchen and were even able to choose what pieces of granite we wanted where. Whenever complications arose, which were to be expected, Kitchen Experts handled everything with great customer service and professional care. Disclaimer: the kitchen my dad wanted was a more traditional and classy kitchen but also secretly commercial because he is a professional chef with a restaurant that we've owned for 30 years. Kitchen Experts can definitely do a more modern feel (something more suited to my Pinterest Boards) but this is just the style my dad wanted.

Kitchen Experts is a 5 star company with exceptional service and superb workmanship. They replaced our countertops and I'm blown away with how beautiful they turned out! The owner was hands on throughout the process and Alan was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable every step of the way. The crew was clean, wore masks, put down floor coverings, and left no trace when they were gone. The whole process happened so quickly and I'm still in shock that they completed the demo and install in one day. Thank you so much Kitchen Experts! We'll definitely be back for our next big project!

If there is one word that I'd use to describe doing business with Kitchen Experts, it would be "outstanding". Everyone should do business like them. Note this review will be in a referral letter than I've written for the new owner, James. It will have my contact information so that you can call me and I can answer any other additional questions you may have. He runs an outstanding business. My first ever remodeling experience didn't go so hot. I've written those reviews. I don't want to taint this review with that experience any more then I have to. I called Kitchen Experts (James) after 9 on a weeknight. I explained that I fired my current contractor and designer and I needed someone to come in and complete the next phase of my remodel. The master bedroom and bath. I expected to leave a voice mail but he answered! Not only that, he came over that night to have a look at the work I needed. He also looked at the work I already had done and pointed out some issues that should've never happened because one was a code violation and the other wasn't in the design plan. He knows his stuff. I, literally, show him some pics I downloaded off of House and we met once after he found some materials to match what I was after. He also took the time to learn about the feel I was going for. The price he quoted me was very competitive. So much so, I had some concern about where I'd take the hit. Given my prior experience, if his quote was less than what I got from my old contractor. Surely, either quality would suffer or it would take forever. You can't have everything, right? Wrong! I was so wrong. The *entire* experience was outstanding. I felt like I was on an HGTV show. His *entire* Team is outstanding. They are all professional with an apparent directive that Customer Service is the priority. They were fast. They cleaned up when they were done for the day. The new owner, James, did extra things that we didn't even contract for to make it all work for me. Additionally, where we did have the inevitable delay, which was my fault, he made it right by doing some additional things to transform my house from a place I was living in in while I was remodeling into my home. The pictures don't do it justice. You can visit an ongoing project site should you choose to see how the Team works. I did. What I saw there on site was what I got. Kitchen Experts (the owner specifically), makes sure that you're happy throughout the entire process and, again, their prices are competitive. Let me put it another way, do NOT look for another contractor or interior designer or project manager. Call Kitchen Experts. Pay them the deposit. Relax. Have your mind blown. Pay them the rest. Enjoy knowing that nobody you know will ever have what they've created for you. When you read this in a referral letter feel free to call or email me and I'll tell you whatever I haven't conveyed in this review. Finally, James, the new owner, is also a solid solid Guy. He's a man of his word and I look forward to hiring him, again, to knock out my kitchen and doing something awesome with my fireplace. An update: I asked Kitchen Experts to come back and design a kitchen, fireplace and back entry to my yard that incorporated French doors. The pictures of their work is below AND you should know that they did ALL of my kitchen and fireplace in 5 (yes, F-I-V-E) days. In addition, he redid my garage and added a surround sound system for the TV above the fireplace. He, once again, went above and beyond the call of duty and created amazing spaces that, to this day, I can't believe are in MY house. It's like living in a suite. James is a tremendous businessman and I am proud to call him my friend. Again, if you need a contractor/designed/project manager for *any* project, you are an idiot if you don't pick Kitchen Experts to make it happen.

The project scope included reengineering our old, stucco fireplace mantle and adding complementary wall paneling. The team also installed crown molding throughout our family room and kitchen spaces and new baseboard throughout our first floor. Using a single concept image that my wife and I had tucked away a while back, Brandon and his extremely talented carpentry specialist, Jesse, collaborated with us to adapt those design concepts to our family room and created a space with which we are extremely happy. We truly appreciated their frequent check-ins to align on design concept options for the finish work and their meticulous attention to detail throughout the project, which included the tireless efforts of painting specialist, Ted. We had long wanted this upgrade to our most frequently used space in our home and we are as happy with this project outcome as we were with the prior kitchen cabinet project. If you are looking for a creative and accomplished woodworking contractor to help bring your remodel visions to life, my wife and I strongly encourage you include Next Level Custom Woodworking in your bid list. We certainly will be using them again as we move to the next phase of our home remodel efforts in the coming months.

After a quick Yelp search, we came across Elite Custom Cabinetry and Fidel was able to see what was already done and listened to what I wanted to do. He quickly understood what was needed, listened for any design input, even provided some options with regards to trim styles to be installed in between each bookcase. On the day of installation, just a few hours went by and the crown molding, various pieces of trim, and nearly perfectly matching baseboards were installed. Lots of little bits here and there were considered to truely give the appearance of a built-in library. The work was perfect, especially given where the starting line was. When the work was done, their clean up was so good, not a piece of dust was left behind. On top of everything, pricing was very reasonable. For the work that was done, the cost was very fair. I would not hesitate recommending this company to anyone looking to complete a bookshelf/library project. I am sure they do other types of work but as far as libraries go, nothing but fantastic work.

My wife set up the initial consultation, and Daniel Dugan met with us. He was super easy to talk to, genuinely into what he does, and came with a lot of thoughtful ideas. His background in construction really showed -- he wasn't just focused on aesthetics, but on making sure everything was practical and well thought out. He also did a great job working within our budget. At no point did we feel pressured to overspend, and he was flexible in helping us land on a design that made sense for us. After putting together the design, he invited us into the showroom so we could see and feel the materials in person, which made a big difference in finalizing everything. One of the coolest parts of the process was the VR walkthrough using Oculus headsets. Being able to "step into" the closet and get a feel for the bar heights and layout was honestly really helpful and gave us confidence in the final design. Daniel was patient the whole way through -- never pushy, always willing to answer questions. Installation was easy to schedule, and the crew was efficient, respectful, and completely self-sufficient. We did run into a couple of minor issues after installation, but Inspired Closets handled everything quickly and without any hassle, which says a lot about their customer service. Now that we've been using the closet for five months, we're really happy with how it turned out. It's made from MDF, feels solid, and had no odor at all, which we appreciated. Overall, highly recommend Inspired Closets, and especially Daniel. Great experience start to finish -- even months later, it holds up.

They all wanted to just paint them. I wanted them restored to the original finish if at all possible. We paid a lot for these custom cabinets 20yrs ago and really wanted them to be restored to look the same. Michael came out to look at them and told me he has never tried to do work like this before but he was willing to try and felt pretty confident he could do it. If we didn't like it we could always paint them after. It was a risk I decided I wanted to take. We could not wait any longer. 2 of our most used cabinets were severely damaged with water damage - one from a hand towel that had been hanging on it for 20 yrs that would often get damp from hand washing and the other our silverware drawer. They removed all of the damaged cabinet & drawer doors (leaving behind about half of them that had no damage as they were less often used and still looked brand new) and took them to their shop in Livermore. This made the job much harder as they then had to match the color to our existing ones. In addition our kitchen has 2 different paint colors so they had to create 2 different finishes - one a stain and one a paint. Linda, an employee of Michael was in charge of the painting and stain work and the artist who did the work on my cabinets in their factory. She showed us photos along the way and then came back out to reinstall the doors plus also repair the water damage we had on baseboards and cabinet sides that weren't able to be removed. She taped everything off in our kitchen to prep and then spent 2 days refinishing all of the rest of the damage. She was very careful and caused zero problems anywhere around her work. The finished product was absolutely 5 stars - could not have gone any better. I have delayed for way too long giving Michael and Linda credit for the work she did but the benefit to that is that I can now say after over a year (finished Sept 2024) of having the refinished cabinets in my kitchen they have held up perfectly and still all look absolutely brand new (helps not having kids living at home anymore!) I would 100% recommend you to trust Michael and his team to be honest, hard working and skilled crafts people for your cabinets. I was so impressed with him, his business, Linda, and all of their work. Thank you Michael & Linda!

I walked through Bay Area Cab's Dublin showroom a few times to confirm they have cabinet styles and colors I liked, and the employees were very accommodating in letting me check out cabinet door samples to see in my actual kitchen. I'm so glad I did that, because the color we originally wanted ended up looking dingy in our northern facing kitchen. We went with their Icy Avalanche color, which is a cool toned grey, and have never loved anything more! The design and estimate process was simple and likely less time consuming than even wading through the IKEA kitchen designer yourself. Chrissy was patient, professional and very knowledgeable and made sure every detail was handled to perfection. She even hopped on the phone with our contractor a couple times to make sure every measurement was exactly correct. But her excellent customer service really came into play after our cabinets were delivered and we discovered an issue--due to a slant in our kitchen floors that weren't accounted for in our original measurements, our crown molding wouldn't fit! She and her sister, who heads their other branch, redesigned and supplied a new molding quickly so that our remodel wouldn't be too behind schedule. And if that wasn't enough, when my contractor mis-installed a drawer, Chrissy replaced the broken pieces for me immediately. For just the customer service level alone, I'm so glad I went with Bay Area Cabs. There are already so many small things that can go wrong in a kitchen remodel, and I was so glad to have the cabinets be headache-free! Finally, the quality of the cabinets is amazing. We've been in our new kitchen for about 6 months now and are happy to report that all our cabinets, drawers, shelves and doors are working perfectly.
