I got a full set of french tips with gel for my hands! Nancy and Kimi were my technicians. I also got the Rose pedicure which was super relaxing and left my legs extra smooth and soft. The salon plays good music and the ambiance is great. I highly recommend this place. EDIT: updating my review because only 3 days later my gel is starting to peel off my fingers. read more

I called before going and asked if they could remove gel nail polish, and they said yes. To confirm, I ended the call by saying, "Okay, see you at 2 to take off gel," and the receptionist responded, "See you." I arrived on time, only for the receptionist to tell me they weren't able to drill off my gel manicure. When I mentioned that I had gotten it done at one of their chain locations (which, as I later learned, is their policy for removal) he still refused. It was very frustrating that after confirming over the phone, they still refused service, wasting my time. read more

Rude! Your experience depends on the nail specialist you get. I moved my hand out of the heating equipment for a brief second to adjust to a comfortable position - the lady screamed at me "oh my god" and continued on as if it were a big deal asking me if I put my hand for 60s etc. I told her I did then she went on to blame me for the fact that she didn't paint half my nail (has nothing to do with drying). She was screaming and honestly I'm not paying 50$ for a mani to be screamed at! Icing was she refused to clean my nails after I repeatedly told her and got paint on the insides of my nails. I told her several times and she played dumb. In the end, she forced me to write a review while I sat at her table, I politely declined as she already took 1.5hours for my mani!! Time is valuable - so are experiences. Such poor etiquette! read more

Nancy did a great job with my gel cat eye pedicure. She got the color wrong (I asked for blue but she used brown/black) and we didn't realize until the very end.. I felt so bad, but she happily re-did my nails completely and apologized for the mistake. She even gave me a 5% discount at the end. To preface, I did not receive the service, my wife did. We have a wedding coming up in three days and my wife wanted to get her nails done (manicure, pedicure, etc) as all brides deserve to get done for their wedding. Though her pedicure specialist, Tammi, was a rockstar (she should get a 10/5 for her excellent service, the opposite could be said about my nail specialist (Nancy was her name if I recall correctly). According to my wife, the specialist CLEARLY had somewhere else to be because she seemed to not care about the customer, my wife, and was rushing every single process. Granted her appointment was an hour before closing, so yes understandable. BUT the other professionals did EXCELLENT work despite the time. My wife wanted French tips, but when the specialist "completed" the work, the French tips were uneven and crooked. When my wife brought this up to the specialist, she just continued to say that "it's impossible to do French tips" on "not straight" finger nails. But isn't that her job to make them look good? My wife is also in the service industry; its the professional's job to make the "impossible", possible. (mind you my wife's finger nails are not disformed like the specialist is imagining) Furthermore, my wife didn't want to make a huge deal out of it so she requested that they forego the French tips and instead go with a solid color - Off White (to match her toe nail colors that were done at this facility too). However, the specialist continued to put on the same base color, top coat, and cured it before realizing that the base color was THE WRONG COLOR. Instead of removing the incorrect base color, the specialist proceeded to apply the Off White on top AND traded places with someone else to do the top coat! My wife's nails are now all different thicknesses because the correct base was just added on top of the mistake. When she later returned, she gave my wife a "massage" which was obviously her way of salvaging some sort of tip, but I'm pretty sure a kindergarten student could give a way better massage. The icing on the cake is that my wife asked to break a $20 bill to the specialist. But she feigned ignorance and pretended she couldn't hear or understand my wife. My wife didn't want anymore to do with her so she conceded the $20. ____________________________ In short. This specialist was terrible and does not understand professionalism, excellence, or customer service. My wife seldom goes out to get her nails done, but this is our big, special day! We only ask for a decent service and to make the customer look fabulous. For prospective customers, I would be careful of that one specialist (I believe her name was Nancy). I hope the manager or someone in charge can contact me so we can privately discuss and figure out who was responsible. I'd like to iterate, I do not want to write a bad review, but THIS IS FOR OUR WEDDING DAY!!! read more

Dry gel manicure cost $60, but I was done in about 35 minutes even with a previous gel soak off. This is the type of service I'm happy to spend money on. I had a Groupon for a pedicure here, and upon reviewing their website noted that they had 20% off for their opening and that gel nails were 45, so even though I normally go to Enjoy Nails in Palo Alto I thought why the heck not, I'll go here this week. The establishment is fine, but the woman who greeted me was on the phone, and remained on the phone while she started my pedicure. Any semblance of a "heavenly" spa experience was gone. A second woman came later, who started my nails, filing them down to thin stubs. Then we moved to the table, at which point the woman that had been doing my toes (who by the way, didn't wear a mask the entire time I was there) began blow drying her hair right behind me. Unhygienic and unprofessional. The manicurist finished my hands, at which point both women wandered into the back, seeming unsure of what to do next. Then the pedicurist/apparent hair stylist in training walked out on the phone again, demanding 55. I explained that wasn't what was on the website, pulling out the list for them to see. She saw the listed price, then got back into a heated conversation on the phone, at which point she hands the phone to me, informing me that it's the owner. This woman is ultimately why I wrote this review. If you want to create loyal clientele at your new business, I wouldn't recommend yelling at them over the phone. Nor would I recommend trying to bargain: this is a business, not a flea market. She insists that the service I received (pictured below, as well as what I had asked for) was not gel, but dip, despite my initial request over the phone and in person for gel and that my total was 55. I again showed the menu, and the pedicurist woman took pictures of my phone for her boss, but she continued to yell at my that it was 55. Then she said she could do 20% off 55 for 45. That's just not even the correct math. I really just wanted to leave at this point, as I was tired of being berated and paid the 44 (20% of 55) plus tip. They only accept Venmo or Zelle, which is beyond sketchy. The pedicurist then apologized to me, saying that she has to call her boss because if they get the wrong price they get yelled at. Not only do the employees not know what the prices are, the owner is rude to them. I wholeheartedly do not support this establishment and will not be returning.

I have been a loyal customer of Kitchen Nail Spa for some time now, and it's all because of their amazing nail package. Even though I live in San Francisco, I drove 40 minutes to their Mountain View location yesterday for my appointment. I had booked the Gel X + design manicure and had it done by Windy, who did an outstanding job. The design was complex, with a lot of details, and it took almost an hour to complete. Windy's patience and attention to detail was impressive, and the final result was even better than I had hoped for. However, I had to take off one star from my rating because the experience wasn't entirely perfect. Since my manicure was taking so long, I decided to cancel my pedicure. Unfortunately, the staff was a bit pushy and kept trying to persuade me to do it anyway. I eventually gave in, but the whole experience left me feeling less than happy about it. Nonetheless, I would still highly recommend Kitchen Nail Spa for their excellent services and talented staff, especially Windy! read more

I always love my nails when it comes to getting it done by Christina (aka Tina as I called her years ago.) She had done my nails since 2019 in San Jose . I had follow her so 3 different location and boy she never disappointed me in anyway. I never know what to get I just let her do it. And as always she knows what I like and how simple I was. She left San Jose and I haven't gotten my nails done with her. Yesterday I text her for appointment and she told me she was going to another salon in Mt. View, I was surprised but now u can drive home from work in SF and just swing by her new location here to get my nails done by my one and only girl. I been to a lot of salon since she stop doing it for a while and no one can do the ombré powder like her. I have been coming here for over a year and I refuse to go anywhere else. I even moved to downtown San Francisco and drive and hour down to get my nails done. I highly highly recommend Kimmy, whom I fell in love with! She is attentive, takes her time, and I've never had a single problem EVER with her. She is open to my ideas and tries to give me exactly what I want. The salon is professional, clean, friendly, and the fact that you can book appointments online is a incredibly convenient. Lately, I have been doing Gel-X. I have NEVER had a broken nail, and they stay perfect and last over 6 weeks (I always get them done around this time, so they probably last longer!). The photos I have are all Gel-X. I have tried every nail method, but as I am active and on the go and clumsy, Gel-X has my back and never lets me down. Thank you, Kimmy!! Went back to this location today and I'm so happy with the results. My daughter was getting her gel-x removed and I was getting a pedicure and fill manicure. We originally booked Kimmy for our manis but she was out sick . The store called us to let us know and asked if we wanted to reschedule but we couldn't and said we'd take anyone available. They easily could have let us walk in and tell us in person but they called to give us options. My daughter got Tina and was so happy with the attention she received. Tammi did my pedicure (she usually does) and did not rush and was very gentle. Tuyen did my gel builder fill... She's amazing!!! My first experience with Kitchen Nail Bar was in Palo Alto and tried to Mountain View location and my goodness. I'm glad I did because my experience only got better with Lee. I'm always hesitant with who does my nails because I'm very picky and OCD about little mistakes here and there. Lee did not disappoint. She constantly checked in with me about shape, length, and color. I wanted a milky color and every time I ask I get a stark white and she gave me exactly what I was looking for. I had such a positive experience with Lee and look forward to having my next appointment with Lee in a month! By the way, this location is amazing!! Let me start by saying writing a review for businesses is not my thing, but today I am taking my time to write this review for this salon is because they are amazing professional, and relaxing. I usually get my pedicure every 3 three because I have ingrown toes nails and needed to remove by the professional nails tech, but I always get cuts or bleed. Today I made the appointment at the salon and Christina was my technician. She took a look at my foot and start working on it and without pain she removed the pressure around my toes that I thought it was going to bleed again but it didn't. I was pain free when she was done . She was fast, gentle, and goes above and beyond to take care of my feet, she also gives the best foot massage . I will definitely come back for her to my feet. Mom bought me a gift card for this place and made the appointment for me to get nails done. I walk in the front desk greeted me a welcoming voice. I been to the blossom hill location before. But I was in the area so I went and got my nails / pedicure done, Christina came and help me sat down. She ask me if I want anything to drink and also hand me the book of colors. I was simple and just wanted nude on my nails for my trip and Christina asks if I wanted designs seeing that she had a cute design on her nails I ask if she can do that for me too. And was amazed on how she delivered the design so fast and it look so cute. After my hand was done Christina did my pedicure and oh boy she gives an amazing massage. I visited this location for a gel mani/pedi on a Saturday late morning and it was a great experience! Katie was my nail tech and she took her time making sure my nails looked perfect, from the polish to the trim/shape to the cuticles. So far I haven't had any chipping, peeling, etc. and I have worked in the garden without gloves almost every day since my services, which I think speaks to the quality of their work. I did make an appointment online ahead of time (so glad they offer that option!) and am glad I did, as they did need to turn away several walk-ins while I was there. I did think the prices were a little high when initially looking at them, but for the quality of service I think the prices are fair. I recommend and will be back! read more

I had an appointment on Monday morning at Kitchen Nail Bar Mountain View with Lee. The place was not crowded, and had a very chill vibe. I got a popsicle manicure with gel done by Lee. She was very patient, kind, and polite and did her absolute best to match the final finish with the photo I showed her. She tried three samples and made slight changes after each iteration based on my feedback. She also a recommended a pop of glitter on the topcoat to make the color vibrant and summery. I'm so grateful for Nancy and the amazing care she always gives me. I usually come in every month for my pedicure and ingrown toenail removal, and she is always so gentle, patient, and attentive. She takes extra time to make sure I no longer feel any pain and is always very accommodating to my requests. What I appreciate most is how much care she puts into making sure I'm comfortable and taken care of. Her massage is also incredible -- I always add an extra 10-15 minutes for a shoulder and neck massage, and it is always so relaxing and worth it. This was my first time at Kitchen Nail Bar, and I had a wonderful experience with Tracey. At the start, she checked in and made sure I understood the gel x process before even beginning. I've had gel x before but appreciated that she made a point to give her clients as much info as possible. I initially wanted duochrome in purple, which was not available, but Tracey was quick to provide beautiful alternatives, and I went with this amazing holographic multichrome powder. My 12 year old daughter and I had such a lovely experience here! The staff was kind, welcoming, and incredibly efficient, and they did a beautiful job on both of our nails. The ambience is so calming and relaxing, which made it such a nice experience for both of us. I especially appreciated how attentive the staff was to our individual needs and preferences. Kitchen Nail Bar has been my nail salon for 5 years, the MountainView location for a few years now (since it opened)! The service has remained amazing. The team creates a calm environment and is very hospitable- water or hot tea is available. Lee & Kimmy are both amazing and so attentive to detail my nails always look event ready. I've gotten gel manis, acrylics, dipping, and all have been consistently great services. Their pedicures have kept my nails healthy and strong and some of their packages include a massage and scrubs that also keep my skin smooth and exfoliated. I'm a perfectionist. . . Lee is the best! It's difficult to find a good acrylic nail tech but in my 25 years of wearing French acrylic nails, she is the best. I have been going to her for years now. Her nails are perfectly shaped, they never chip, she is a pro. She also speaks English fluently! The best time to see her is on Mondays or Tuesdays when she is less busy but she is there on other days too. She always does a great job no matter what day but she is packed with clients later in the week and on the weekend so she has minimal time. After a year away from the Bay Area, I was excited to book a mani/pedi with Kitchen Nail Bar! Michael did a wonderful job on my pedicure, and Kim did a flawless job on my gel-x manicure. It was really calming in the salon, and I came at a perfect time to soak in that peaceful ambiance. I'm glad to have the chance to come back here after a year away, and can still see the high standard the nail techs have kept themselves to. Ever since the first time I got a builder gel manicure from Lee, I've gone back to see her for refills, and she does an incredible job every time! I go every 5-6 weeks but that's only because my nails have grown out to a length I personally can't handle by then - the manicure itself always remains perfect between visits, I've never had any chipping or lifting and that's a testament to how careful and detailed Lee is whenever she does my nails, and how much effort she puts into making sure they're perfect and will last. I got a fairly complicated nail set done by Tuyen, and I'm honestly blown away. The design was super detailed with a lot going on, but she executed everything perfectly. Every line was clean, the shaping was flawless, and the details were incredibly precise. You can tell how much care and skill went into each nail. The nails came out balanced, elegant, and exactly what I envisioned if not better she added her own details. Tuyen was patient, attentive, and made sure every small detail was right.
