Moved here from San Francisco and had a difficult time finding a salon where the technicians are not only nice but do an amazing job. But then I found this salon and I found my go to technicians! Everyone is so kind and attentive, and from my personal experience and seeing the work on other people, this is the best nail salon I've been to. I've been consistently getting both acrylic sets with cat eye polish, and their deluxe pedicures. Big shout out to Ngan for my manicures and Donna for my pedicure! They are so skilled, have a real eye for what they're doing, and are just genuinely sweet and kind people. The salon itself is very clean, and the energy is very inviting. The entire staff checks on you while you're waiting and engages you. They have so many other services I can't wait to try like their facials and waxing. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I really wanted to like it since it's so close to my home, and after giving it multiple chances and receiving subpar quality, I won't be going back after my experience today. I went in for a gel pedicure and they took me in right away. I mentioned I was short on time and asked them if they can do the pedicure in an hour. They said yes. Then I had to wait 15 mins for someone to actually start working on my toes because they decided to stop my service and go do a wax for someone that came in after me. Once they got started, it was very obvious my technician was rushing my service since the place started getting busy. She "cleaned" my cuticles and 5 mins and took another 3 minutes to file and "shape" my nails. Once she started applying the polish, it became obvious my nails were uneven, cuticles were not pushed back and the polish looked incredibly sloppy. When I asked her to fix it, she called her manager over, who told me to come back at a later time for a fix since I was short on time. I understand that me being short on time is not ideal, but I don't believe that is an excuse for sloppy and lazy work. I would've appreciated if they told me to come back at the beginning of the service instead of saying they could get it done in 45 mins and making me wait. They also tried charging me full price $60 even though I didn't receive a massage or hot towel service since I had another appointment to make. When I told her I wasn't going to pay full price, she knocked down the price to $50. And now I have to pay someone else to fix this mess. This isn't the first time I receive sloppy or rushed work from this place so I'm done paying for subpar service. read more

When Ngan she first buff my nails I told her that shape was not right and she told me it was not yet done speaking impatiently , and I said ok... smiled awkwardly cause there are three nails are not straight ... that why I suspected if I don't mention I doubt she will correct it. Also I wanted to tell her which ones are not straight, she did not even let me finish my sentence, stopped me with " I will tell you last time it's not done yet.." then she switched to Vietnamese ( I can't understand ) sounded like complaining to me talking to the other staff member. Didn't need to take too much to guess she was talking about me, she was very loud and rude, even her coworkers went quiet and they didn't reply to her. Then she purposely cut my nails skins with the buff sticks, both nails are broke and some blood. I let her know it was very hurting and she condescendingly said sorry. It was so humiliating and uncomfortable. Before left the store I told the staff that I won't pay the tip for her. Her behavior is unacceptable and the manager needs to know this. I walked to the store with a happy smile walked out with the worst nail salon experience. I like the rest of the team but sorry customers can't be treated this way. PRO: - spirits are high - everyone is friendly CON: - attention to detail lacking - rough cuticle removal - lacking callus removal - **maybe don't come here for non-color/non-gel services because it looks like thats where they perform better. I came with a friend and both of us agreed some parts were painful, mainly cuticle trimming. The callous removal was also sloppy and my friend left with careless scrapes on his bottom feet (see photos). They completely missed his calluses so I'm not sure what they were trying to sand. We had 3 different techs and they were all pretty rough with the work, both of us got some cuts/bleeds from cuticle removal and it was also painful when they sprayed alcohol on those wounds. I wanted my nail tech to trim all my nails the same length as my shortest nail and shaped, but I think the language barrier made it so that she didn't understand. I said it a few times and gave up because it started feeling awkward to me to keep asking. The points of the nail shapes are also inconsistent, some pointier than the others... it felt like a lack of attention to detail. The total price came out to be $135 for a one hour of delux mani/pedi each. I won't be back despite their friendly service because I think they should have been aware of the cuts and scrapes we got, as well as the thought that it was weird to leave a nail salon with nails of in consistent lengths, even if we asked for basic services. First time visit and I requested a deluxe pedicure appointment. My session started on time with Kathy, who immediately offered me a beverage and a bowl of grapes! She trimmed my nails and scrubbed my feet. I always go for a longer massage when trying new salons and thought was worth the extra $10 for paraffin wax treatment and 10 min massage here. Some places skimp on the massage time but not here! After giving Nail Bar such a stellar review, I experienced possibly the worst customer service experience ever! I made an appointment with Donna for a pedicure and the place was packed. After checking in and standing at the desk for 5 minutes I was directed to go sit in a chair by Donna, who was in the middle of a pedicure with the person in the chair next to me, filled the tub so I could start soaking my feet. I was feeling hopeful, but then 15 minutes passed soaking my feet in the now tepid water and Donna goes to another chair to start a different pedicure. A bit frustrated, I put my shoes on and a woman pulls her cart up and says "I'll do your pedicure" and walks away to check her previous client out. My pedicure was great but the technician for my gel manicure immediately started with the upsell on French tips, to which I said I just want a solid color. He then pushed for a gel bonding or something so I said ok. I wish I didn't. He was rough with the drill and cut my finger and the final result wasn't that great. I have an event tomorrow and now I need to cover up one nail with a bandaid because of the cut. My mom's technician for her pedicure was rough and I heard her express her discomfort several times. My mom's tech even tried to offer other services to her like waxing her brows. We made an appointment for the services we wanted so I didn't like the constant upsell. Only the technician that worked on my pedicure didn't try to add-on any more services which I greatly appreciated. When it came time to pay, the lady was so pushy about me tipping in cash even though I said I wanted to add tip to my card and she kept saying it's better to do cash.
