I showed Jamie a reference photo of what I wanted and she made them look even better than the picture. My nails came out really well and felt very wedding-day ready. My husband's hands also looked clean and well-groomed - everything felt polished for our big day. I don't live nearby so it's a bit out of the way for me, but I would absolutely make the trip again specifically to get my nails done by Jamie.

I came around 6pm on a weekday and it was super packed. Definitely get an appointment beforehand if you can, but they also accept walk-in's. I was a walk-in and they sat me almost immediately. May-Hong was my nail technician and she's amazing. I showed her my inspiration picture and the things I wanted changed/ added on. She listened and executed. Jenni was amazing at helping me figure out what I wanted based on my lifestyle, budget, and the event I needed it for. She was incredibly meticulous and careful with my gel mani, including with the edges. No part of my nail was left unpainted, no part of my skin was accidentally painted, and the texture and shine were perfect. For my gel pedi, Peter was super thorough and kind! My nails held up perfectly for five weeks with absolutely zero chips or dents! Had I not been worried about just the look of the nail growth, I probably could have left them for another few weeks, even! I went back today for a new gel manicure, and Jenni's removal process was completely painless and gentle. Unlike some other salons, it was clear that Jenni placed a lot of thought and care into protecting my natural nail bed when removing the gel. Even though the salon was busy, she was present with me and I felt she was not rushing. Sitting there, I overheard her with other clients and was impressed by how much she remembers about everyone's lives, time commitments, and preferences. So, I randomly drove out of my way to catch any available tech. CiCi was called over to help me. And the whole experience, from beginning to end was just so catered to me. Light touches, consideration of my phone use, providing me with easy options, and I left with a very stylized French manicure perfect for spring. Dry gel manicure cost $60, but I was done in about 35 minutes even with a previous gel soak off. This is the type of service I'm happy to spend money on. I left feeling relaxed, relieved, and pampered. Thank you CiCi. And thank you to all the great techs working at Orchid Nails. You all do lovely work without much thought. Very refreshing experience.

Sandy did my manicure, and my first-ever cat eye nails came out absolutely incredible! She was quick, efficient, incredibly patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions. The shoulder massage at the end was such a nice touch and left me feeling so relaxed. Tammy did my pedicure, and she was also amazing. I tend to get painful ingrown nails, so I'm always nervous, but she was so gentle and made me feel completely comfortable. The massage, hot stones, and warm towels were so relaxing. I had a Groupon for a pedicure here, and upon reviewing their website noted that they had 20% off for their opening and that gel nails were 45, so even though I normally go to Enjoy Nails in Palo Alto I thought why the heck not, I'll go here this week. The establishment is fine, but the woman who greeted me was on the phone, and remained on the phone while she started my pedicure. Any semblance of a "heavenly" spa experience was gone. A second woman came later, who started my nails, filing them down to thin stubs. Then we moved to the table, at which point the woman that had been doing my toes (who by the way, didn't wear a mask the entire time I was there) began blow drying her hair right behind me. Unhygienic and unprofessional. The manicurist finished my hands, at which point both women wandered into the back, seeming unsure of what to do next. Then the pedicurist/apparent hair stylist in training walked out on the phone again, demanding 55. I explained that wasn't what was on the website, pulling out the list for them to see. She saw the listed price, then got back into a heated conversation on the phone, at which point she hands the phone to me, informing me that it's the owner. This woman is ultimately why I wrote this review. If you want to create loyal clientele at your new business, I wouldn't recommend yelling at them over the phone. Nor would I recommend trying to bargain: this is a business, not a flea market. She insists that the service I received (pictured below, as well as what I had asked for) was not gel, but dip, despite my initial request over the phone and in person for gel and that my total was 55. I again showed the menu, and the pedicurist woman took pictures of my phone for her boss, but she continued to yell at my that it was 55. Then she said she could do 20% off 55 for 45. That's just not even the correct math. I really just wanted to leave at this point, as I was tired of being berated and paid the 44 (20% of 55) plus tip. They only accept Venmo or Zelle, which is beyond sketchy. The pedicurist then apologized to me, saying that she has to call her boss because if they get the wrong price they get yelled at. Not only do the employees not know what the prices are, the owner is rude to them. I wholeheartedly do not support this establishment and will not be returning.

My nails look so clean, precise, and polished. Better than they've ever looked! Amanda explained every step and kept checking in to make sure I liked the shape and color, which I really appreciated. Especially since it was my first time getting russian manicure. The only thing is timing! This took about 3 hours vs my usual 1.5 for builder gel. I don't mind, but I wish I had a heads up, so definitely come prepared and plan your day around it. Also, booking is based on experience level and I chose a more junior tech, which is probably why it took longer. Next time I'd book with a higher master. I did get a small nick while they were cleaning my cuticle on one hand, which made me a little nervous, but they sanitized everything right away. They also started about 20 minutes late, but offered tea and chocolates which was a nice touch along with a gift bag since it was my first time at Yarco. Overall, amazing service and beautiful results. I already booked my next appointment and can't wait to see how they last!
