Over a month ago I went here to get a simple gel mani and gel pedi. Their hours posted on yelp and in person said they closed at 7pm. I came in at 6pm and asked them if they were willing to take me as a customer and if not, it's okay. They hesitated at first but when I started speaking vietnamese to them, they took me in. The work itself was normal since I wasn't asking for anything hard or too time consuming. However, the boss lady wasn't there so some workers started acting up by rushing the people who were working on me. Apparently some of them carpool from OC so they had to wait to leave together. I ignored their comments at first, but this is why I clearly asked if they were open to taking a client in the last hour. If I had knew it would come with the attitude, I wouldn't have stayed. The work was more expensive than the shop that I used to go in OC. A month later I wanted to give them another try. I stopped by and was told it was going to be an hour wait. It didn't fit with my schedule for the day so I ended up finding a different location. Today at around 315pm I called to see how busy it was. Someone picked up and I spoke to them in English. They wanted me to come in at 330, but I had to go home first to drop off groceries so I told them 4pm would be better. She said okay, but before hanging up she immediately started talking crap in Vietnamese for no reason. I really despise getting treated like that for no reason at all, so I definitely didn't show up at 4pm. While I was writing this review, they called me back either because I didn't show up at 4pm or because they saw my review. They explained it wasn't me they were talking about but the context and timing says otherwise. I told them I pay more now for the same services and really just want a relaxing environment with good service. Unfortunately it's too awkward and bad vibes to come back and I hope they just take it as a lesson learned. read more

I came here yesterday for the first time ever and I had my daughter's nails done. She got a full set of gel X nails French manicure. It was $60 and they had me Zelle Kim Nguyen. less than 24 hours her nail popped off. I took her to this place again to let them know and the lady was so rude and she blamed it on my daughter. I always call To make an appointment and the owner is the one setting it up and most of the time she forgets to pass the information to her employees and when I show up have to wait like a walk in without appointment, today when I called to let her know that one more time I have to wait because her workers are busy she apologized and said that she forgot to tell them. While I was having my nails done she showed up not even looking at my face or saying hello like it was my fault and not hers, when I left I wished a happy holidays and one more time she never turn around to face me. I went to get my nails done for my and my friends birthday and got gel x. I had French tips with a couple designs. They were fine except for the fact that the pinky looks like a duck nail while the rest were square so when I got home I refiled it. Some of the nails were different sizes then the same nail on the other side. For example, the left thumb was longer than the right. My middle finger popped off on the right, the ring and pointer came off and I had to reglue them on. Both pointer fingers have cracks. I do not think she knew how to do the design because she had another person do it for her so both lips look different on each side. My friend even reshaped hers at home, she also could not even get the exact designshe wanted because her nail technician could not do a simple heart so she got plain french nails. I'm disappointed, I don't like posting negative in fact usually only post positive... I thought I finally found my nail spot after having a full set done here and pedicure 2 weeks ago and wanted to get a fill and pedicure again. The Hours posted for Sunday online, on the door and here on Yelp say 10-5 I called no answer and we even went and waited there until 10:30am and no one showed up or answered! There was no note on the door explaining anything. Needless to say I found another place that was open and they were so kind to take me in and they are amazing. Yeeeeah, no. The first time I was here I received a set that wasn't bad. My nails started to lift after one week, but other than that I didn't have an issue. I went in a second time and asked for a fill and the same French, but In olive. I sat down with a new tech and told her I wanted the same design, but color change. (The picture I showed her is below.) I noticed that both techs laid down the thinnest amount of acrylic, No apex and hardly any filing. I walked out with this set and unfortunately they look much better in pictures. I had heavy acrylic on my sidewalls, rough edges and the design is majorly off. I paid and walked out and instantly regretted giving her my tip. Never going here again and THEYRE TOO EXPENSIVE. I redid my nails at home and had to repair the thin acrylic. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars was because Mimi was great when she was working there but as of now she's stilll on maternity leave. I had to get my nails filled and decided i would just try someone else that was available and that was such a bad mistake. I don't remember the girls name who did my nails but honestly she was awful to say it nicely. She seemed like she didn't know what she was doing, kept getting distracted and got up MULTIPLE times while in the middle of applying my acrylic. When she started to work on the length I mentioned i wanted my nails shorter than what i had because they were too long for work & then he'd to ask like 2-3 more times for them to be a little shorter than that. & they still apparently charged me an extra $3 for length lol - I've never been charged extra for length here especially when i specifically asked multiple times for a shorter set. Fast forward to just THREE days later my pointer finger just broke in half. I will not be returning here anymore. read more

This is my favorite nail salon! My mom and I are regulars. Sadly I moved out of Chino Hills so I come here whenever I can. I've had multiple technicians for full set acrylics and they're all great. They use good quality materials and the shape is always even. I have to give a special shoutout to Nam for the BEAUTIFUL design he did. Wanted to love this hello Kitty nail salon for me and my daughter but too bad since she's 12 years old, she is charged as an adult and the guy who did my toes totally forgot to massage me and I asked him what about the lotion and he said oh right now after he put my slippers on, he slapped some lotion on Literally 3 seconds. It was the first time in my life that I had a pedicure without a massage. I don't know why I tipped him. I shouldn't have tipped him the five dollars. I probably will not be back again. I'm gonna start this off by saying these are my PROM nails. It's important that your prom nails look good, and you should be able to get what you're paying back regardless of how important the event is. This all could've been prevented, had the nail techs communicated that the design and application was above their skill level. Had they communicated this, I would've been more than happy to find a simpler design. I should be able to leave a nail salon after almost TWO HOURS, satisfied. I was beyond frustrated that I had to pay over $100 for something that isn't what I asked for. To start off, I asked for tapered square-medium length, with white glitter. I asked for a full set of acrylics and showed her the inspo picture. I don't know if it was she was blatantly dismissing my requests or if there was a language barrier but I had 3 other people there who saw what I asked for and DID NOT help me communicate it to her. I told her specifically this is all to be acrylic and that I wanted silver gems. I even told her that these were my prom nails and it's important they look good. She left me with FLARE NAILS, silver glitter and iridescent gems. I'm honestly so frustrated and I didn't have time for them to fix it since I had a seamstress appointment right after. If I booked my appointment at 9:30 I shouldn't be leaving your salon at 11:30, unsatisfied. I'm never getting my nails done here again unless Katie does them herself. The only thing that came out well was my pedicure which cost $35 since it was gel, and honestly I should've given all the tips to her since no one else helped me or did what I requested. read more

This is the 3rd time that I've made an appointment here and still had to wait 30-45 minutes before actually getting started. The first couple times, I blew it off as "stuff happens", but today I brought my daughter to get a full set and she waited AN HOUR past her appointment time to finally get started on her nails. That's NOT acceptable and it's completely disrespectful of our time. Why make an appointment at all!?! The most unprofessional part is that 3 people came in AFTER us and got helped BEFORE us. Two of them were walk-ins (manicures) and one had an appointment for a pedicure but was very late for it (apologized for being late as she walked in, but still got taken right away). All while my daughter had an appointment, was on time for it, and still had to wait an hour. There is absolutely no excuse for that. We won't be back. I really don't want to give this place 1-star because my best friend comes here a lot, but I have to. My fingers are actually irritated, itchy and swollen. I can't stop itching the cuticle area. I have been here once before this time, and I want to say the previous was a better experience than this time. This time, the lady I had was very detail-oriented but she really cut close to my cuticles when I told her my cuticles are sensitive and I really didn't want her using her drill bit close to them. She didn't listen. Not only that but she cut me on the inside of my middle finger that when she applied the acrylic my finger was burning, especially when she used a nail file to file my nail down. There was a few positives though: I LOVE how thin my acrylics are, and how great she shaped my nails but aside from those two things she messed up on the application of my gel polish. There are areas where there isn't enough coatings of the clear polish where there are divots or my top coat didn't dry and it became matted or my color polish is thin and didn't really cover a tip of my nail. For $28, I mean I can't complain because it is cheap, but that lady didn't deserve the $10 tip I gave her. Especially since my cuticles are swollen, red and itchy. I don't think I'll be back, even if I want a nail day with my best friend I'd rather just go somewhere else because any place that can cause my cuticles to be this irritated is a no-go for me, this place really has me going, me-OW! read more

CUTE PLACE WEAK PEDICURES Besides the cute Hello Kitty walls and clean spa chairs not much else going on. The pedicures my sister and I got were whatevers. We were disappointed because there was no massage with our spa pedicures which is usually included (but we saw a white lady get one sooo that was weird). My toes didn't feel clean like at other places. My manicure lasted a day, they do it too thick imo and it leaves dents. So I won't be returning. read more

Just had a terrible experience at this nail salon. I asked for gel tips when I went in and even showed them a picture. They failed to understand as I did state that I didn't want acrylic but they could of explained that it is not possible to do tips without using acrylic and they didn't. I kept asking her when are you going to do the tips and she just said next and I ended up with the ugliest nails I've ever seen. I obviously will never go back here again!! As a professional, they should of attempted to suggest an option that was more attractive. Most of my nails were quite longer when I walked in and they were cut. Very nice staff but the guy I had doing my nails was EXTREMELY slow. I told them I had to be done by a certain time and he still was super slow. He took 30 min just to file my nails and then cut them shorter than I wanted. I had the SNS powder and he made them so thick and bulky my nails look like clunky blobs. To make it worse he cut me multiple times so all my nail beds are swollen and painful. Very unhappy with my experience at this salon. This is the worst salon in the Chino and Chino Hills areas. I will just copy and paste the paragraph that I submitted in my official complaint to the state of California's Department of Consumer Affairs. The photos do not do justice to the absolute train wreck this manicured set looks like. I am eagerly awaiting for this nail technician to lose their license and learn the proper techniques of providing a service of a manicure. The complaint below explains the issues: "Name of the establishment: Kitty Nail and Spa Address of establishment: 15942 Los Serranos Country Club Drive Unit I Chino Hills, CA 91709 United States Phone number: 909-393-5853 The customer filing the complaint called Kitty Nail and Spa in Chino Hills at 1:30pm on the afternoon of the 26th day of the month of May in the year 2022. The customer and an employee agreed to an appointment for the same afternoon at 3:00pm. The customer walked into the door of the establishment at 2:47-2:49pm on May 26th, 2022. The customer asked to receive a pedicure and a manicure. The manicure was to be done with an SNS dipping colored powder. One female employee did the pedicure on the customer. The pedicure was of high quality. However, the male nail technician employee did the SNS dipping powder manicure. The male technician is unnamed as the customer could not get any names of the employees. The male technician did not follow the proper steps and instructions in providing the service of painting the fingernails for an SNS dip powder manicure. The technician left the nails unshaped, jagged and did not file down the nails so that the nails would be straight and in alignment with one another. The nails of the manicure looked far from uniform, identical or similar in any sense of the words. The male technician was asked politely three to four times by the customer to please shape the nails and correct the lack of straightness of the tips of the nails. The technician did not listen to these requests made. Additionally, the male technician took over an hour to complete a singular manicure although the nail salon and spa was not busy assisting other customers". read more

When I looked down at my toes I saw they were a little swollen. When I took a closer look and pressed on the side of my toe pus started coming out and I just couldn't believe it. Now every single time I touch the side of my toes it feels like a needle is piercing through, unacceptable service!! Nothing like this has ever happened to me at a nail salon. I love Kitty Nails! They are so solid. Most important to me is that they get you in and out of there quickly. I have been going there for a couple years, and have yet to wait around at all. They have always been attentive and fast. Also, it's nice because they speak English (or are at least easy to communicate with), have great attitudes, don't have the tv up loud... I love it! Everyone there is hard-working and focused, but if you strike up a conversation, they will be friendly back. Once or twice the gel/polish hasn't been perfect, but that can happen anywhere. And if they get me in and out of there in just over an hour for a mani/pedi, I don't really care. I have thought about going somewhere closer to me, but it's worth the drive because they are so reliable, and I just love the people there. I never ask for anyone special, I like them all. read more
