5 Star for this great pub! The service was fantastic!!! The food was actually better than the expected for a pub in a hotel. We had the large pretzel app and the buffalo cauliflower. The pretzel was so so. No salt? No. It had no salt. Not good. But the cauliflower was the best I've ever had. The Shepard's pie was so different and incredibly good. The fish and chips was excellent. The food was good, not omg amazing but it was good. The french fries were a 10 out of 10 they reminded me a Jewel Osco wedges honestly. The appetizer House Poutine's cheese curds were amazing, however the potatoes were a little hard, but everything else was fantastic. Anna was the most attentive server coming in to check in on plates, napkins, drinks and food. As you come in, you greater and you can seat yourself. The outdoor patio is nicely walled from the street. We opted for a cozy booth inside that was clean and had plenty of space. Drinks were well made and delicious. The Clover club was fragrant and a good start to the evening. Also try the proper Mary which does come with bacon and no celery. The wings were plentiful and we asked for additional dipping sauce. Fish and chips were a great portion, piping hot and crunchy skins. As though that was not enough, we made room for the bread pudding and the peach cobbler. Both need to be had if you are at the restaurant. Five star food. Six Star service. read more

About what you'd expect for an Irish pub attached to a hotel. The fries are very good, I'll give them that. Lobster roll was meh, disappointing for the price. My salad was fine. Crab cakes were good. Cocktails hit or miss. The pretzel appetizer was DRENCHED in butter. Like the plate was wet. The pretzel itself was pretty bland. Maybe that's why they add all the butter? It was odd. Back in the ancient days (the 1980's) this was my local neighborhood bar. A bit of nostalgia came over me, so, before a Bears game, I dropped in. It still has the same neighborhood bar feel even though it is nestled into the corner of one of the larger hotels in Chicago. Guinness and Harp on tap and my hungry son met me there, tried their wings, and loved them. A great selection of Irish whiskeys and beer have me longing for a future visit. read more

Very fun, lively bar! I came here a couple times for a night-cap, to wind down after exhausting myself at some other spots earlier and really enjoyed my experiences - the drinks, the atmosphere, service etc. I had a maple pecan old fashioned the first time and just enjoyed sitting at the bar and reading a bit while nursing the drink - not my normal pick, so I definitely sipped on it, but it was a great change, flavorful, and definitely packed a punch. The other time, I stuck with my prosecco and decided to try the wings and grilled broccolini. The wings were tasty, served with a large side of ranch and celery/carrots. The broccolini was not great, to be honest, but everything else about this spot was awesome. Great energy, great drinks, a happy place to be. read more

We went in for a beer and a bite. He ended up with some kind of Pilsner, and I got a Guinness, and we split a bowl of potato soup. The soup was delish. Creamy and lightly seasoned. Potatoes were plentiful but not too thickly diced. And it was served with some kind of raisin soda bread that was surprisingly delicious. Service was perfect! Great timing, recommendations, prompt service and food delivery. I dined outside in May and it was pleasant. It is fully shaded just after 1pm. I had a salad and a crab cake. Our recent visit to Kitty O'Sheas was unfortunately one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had. We came in as a group of seven at 9:43 PM, and right from the start, we were met with attitude and indifference from our server, Dana. It took an unreasonably long time just to get water, and any drink refills were painfully slow throughout the evening. The service felt dismissive and inattentive, as if our presence was more of an inconvenience than anything else. Our food took forever to arrive, and by the time we finally received our check, it was 11:20 PM -- nearly two hours for a standard meal with drinks, and not because we were lingering. We were just constantly waiting. We understand busy nights happen, but the lack of basic courtesy, poor communication, and overall lackluster service really soured the experience. Hopefully, management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the service standards, because we had expected much better. Mind you our family has done 4 times prior to this experience. read more

We stayed at the Hilton on Michigan Ave. and had a fantastic time having drinks at Kitty's, which is conveniently connected to the hotel. It has a fun, classic pub atmosphere and they have an impressive selection of Irish whiskeys to try. For dinner, I ordered the fish & chips and my boyfriend got the burger. Both were good pub fare, though let's be honest, everything seems to taste better after a little Irish whiskey! We also learned a fun fact from a friendly couple: this bar was actually featured in the Harrison Ford movie "The Fugitive"! We enjoyed it so much that we will be returning today to catch some Sunday football and, of course, enjoy another tall pint of Guinness! Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area. read more

Well, don't waste your time or money if the usual breakfast buffet at the Downtown Chicago Hilton is not operating and instead they are serving "ala carte breakfast" at Kitty O'Sheas. Walked in and there were probably 15 or more empty dirty tables, and one clean one which is where I sat. Ordered the omelette, with hash browns and sourdough toast. The single waitress seemed to be doing a halfway decent job, but was clearly overworked. The omelette was meh, the hash browns were mass-produced squares that you would find in a grocery store freezer section to feed to your seven year-old kid, who might not even eat it, and the toast never arrived. The "ambiance" is horrible as rude people FaceTime and talk on their phones via speakers. Ive been here for dinner and drinks multiple times, and it's fine for that. Never again will I do breakfast here. And the bill? $27. Ridiculous. As an added bonus I paid cash. I guess the waitress assumed I wanted no change back because she never brought any. Wow. read more

Love the historic Irish pub that was installed here during the 80's renovation. Had the house burger which came on a huge bun. Too much bread. Had to cut it down to a manageable size. Fries were good. Came with French onions and a sweet pickle, add mayo and it was perfect. The cheese plate was good. We couldn't eat it all. Great fish and chips! Very thick pieces of cod and the batter is very tasty. Never had sidewinders fries and they were so so, very natural tasting and needed additional salt. Came here for brunch this past weekend. The food was de-lic-ious! We split the churro eclairs to start. Not sure I got 'churro' from them, now that I think about it, but they were very good. They're small, so easy to share, and they are filled. The dipping sauces are also good. I got the Croque O'Sheas for my main course. Wow, that was maybe one of the best things I've ever eaten. It's a loooooot of food, so good thing I was hungry. One minor issue is that at times it was a little hard to cut through the bread, but I was able to do it. I also got a side of crispy hashbrowns, which are McDonald's style and I loved that. It's seat yourself, and when we were there there were plenty of seats. However, beware the late morning sun, as it rendered some of the booths near the window unusable because it was way too warm (and someone would get blinded). We started in one booth and quickly realized this, and were able to move to another booth no problem. Service was a little on the slow side (there were only two people working the whole place), but we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't really an issue for us.
