I was in town for a convention, I called ahead of time to place my order because I knew it was late and wanted to make I was still able to order what I wanted. When I called the waiter "some bald guy"' said not to worry the kitchen was open until 1:30am. When I got there 10 minutes later, the same waiter said the kitchen was closed and was only limited to the late night menu. Unless your driinking heavily and don't care about quality don't waste your time. The club was unbearable I could only eat the lunch meat turkey and left the rest and was still charged full price. The leak soup was watery and the bread that came with it was stale. If it means anything, I couldn't even finish my beer. My advise to anyone willing to try this place is never trust the waiter and order ahead if the kitchens about to close so you can get to at least try there regular menu which I have low hopes for after this experience. I stopped in here while in Chicago for work. I wanted something close, simple, and quick. Kitty O'Shea's hit the mark. I sat at the bar, was immediately waited on, and got a beer within just a few minutes. I ordered the short rib shepherds pie. Man, was this thing good. It had 2 kinds of potatoes!!! This reastaurant is located in the Hilton Chicago. I guess this is a seat yourself type of place. There is no host/hostess. It has a full bar with some signature cocktails. They are open until about midnight on weekdays. The bourbon bacon was to die for. I could eat that every day. It was so delicious. I got the wings as well. They were so-so. The wings were ok and the sauces that came with them were not that great. The service was also ok. It took a while to get my food, even though it was slow. There are TV around the bar where you can catch some sports or your favorite show. My experience there was ok. If I was in a bind and could not make it out of the hotel, then it would do. Otherwisee, I would venture out to one of Chicago's many delicious dining establishments. read more

I stopped in here after checking in. I go to the hotel because it's convenient, and at the time I stopped by not busy with a lot of customers. The server was friendly and very lovely and made me feel very welcome. It didn't take long to get my food which is a good thing when you're hungry and sit when you enter. But when it's busy, and one person is at a booth table, and you are a party of 4, not so much, but overall it's okay. I had wings, salad, and fries. The fries are enormous, so it's a shareable thick cut. The salad was OK, and the wings were delicious. I stopped by the next day, but it was full with customers some seated and some waiting it was impossible to get a seat, so I left. It's a no frills, comfy pub connected to a hotel. I was staying at the hotel so I visited a few times. I was most pleased with the breakfast and the lunch. Meh on dinner. It's a little overpriced but then again, after and amongst the Covid era... maybe the price is where it has to be. The bar staff were nice. The table staff were accommodating in a ..." Here ya go" and now I'll be in the back until I bring you your ticket kinda way". Drinks were fine. Lots of seating available in the morning and night. Lunch gets a little busy. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this place, but if you're around and want something solid to eat; why not. I think this place get a lot of hotel and conference guests. read more

Came multiple times on different days to use my credit. Burger was well done when I wanted medium rare, but fries was excellent. Fish n chip, batter was oily and fish tasteless, but crispy fries were excellent. Order fish n chip to go, got to room, and ate halfway on one fish and noticed uncooked batter and took it back down. When you get there you seat yourself. It was very busy because of lollapalooza but I felt that they did their best to get to everyone as soon as they could. We sat at the bar and Margaret served us. She was great attending to everyone and making drinks while keep up a positive energy. I tried to get this spiked coffee but they ran out of something they needed but Margaret made me something else that was similar and it was still good. Upon entering the restaurant, don't plan to be seated by a hostess but a sign stating to seat yourself. Luckily, I was able to find a table right away. Kitty O'Shea's definitely has an Irish pub feeling. Guests seemed like they were having a good time. Since I came in a little later in the evening, I was able grab a table. The restaurant was still quite steady. Kristy B, server, greeted me and take my drink order. Upon return, I had decided on the Fish & Chips for my entree. Within 10 minutes or so, the entree was delivered. The fish was nice and meaty and the fries were very well seasoned. Kristy did check in with me. Opted to skip dessert. This review is based on when I was staying at the Hilton in 2015. This may be irrelevant now. But in hopes to bring back a very well liked appetizer. I was staying at the Hilton several years ago and was pleasantly surprised that there was an Irish Pub there. I had fallen in love with their Guinness Wings and now, I cannot seem to find it in existence. Please bring them back. Or at least let me in on the recipe. Because I ate these damn near every evening I had dinner because they were that good. I also enjoyed the Shepherds Pie. People in St. Louis talk about wings and I was raving about the Guinness Wings I had years ago and feel like a liar now. :( The service was awesome when I was there. It was pricy, but at the time... money wasn't an issue and I was there visiting and enjoying my leisure time. The Pub was very Irish with traditional Irish decor and "Murphy's Law" hanging up. The lighting dark and dim I guess like a pub would be. I really enjoyed my time there back in 2016 with some of my fellow Landmark friends. Just, please... bring back the Guinness Wings. Let me tell you!!!! This place rocks! The staff is friendly and they are very attentive especially Kate. She rocks! I stopped in after a long day of working. I had the corned beef sandwich with a side salad. Kate recommended this dish and I just admit she was in point. She's very engaging so you can't go wrong when you sit at the bar. The sandwich will make you slap yo momma. It was cooked to perfection. They give you some type of sauce that goes with it and that just took me over the edge. I actually thought about licking the plate just to get all of the secret sauce that came with the sandwich. The adult beverages are excellent as well. They have a HUGE selection and variety. Great location and a good bar for a beer. THE PLACE: The bar has beautiful dark wood structures and plenty of seating areas. The ambience and live music (especially a flute player) are excellent. Bathrooms are tricky to find, but once there, all is clean. THE FOOD: Many many many many beer and drink options. Quite lovely to find a place with so many variations. On the night that I went, I ordered a pretzel and a beer. Beer was a expected (good and cold) and the pretzel was fresh, soft inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. Came with two dips. The execution of these dish preparations leave much to be desired. How an Irish pub can mess up corned beef is beyond my comprehension. Didn't think it could happen and yet it did. The fish and chips, not good. We even tried desserts thinking at least that would be good. Nope. You have to seat yourself which means you have to walk around trying to find a table for your group. Came here on a recent business trip and decided to try this place out. We sat at the bar which had a nice feel to it. It's located in the Hilton, but I believe it can be accessed from the street as well. It's a typical Irish bar, lots of cool pics and trinkets all over the place. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The menu isn't very large. I had a hard time finding something that I wanted (I'm kind of a picky eater at times). I ordered the Mac & Cheese with beef and my co-worker ordered a steak. Overall, we were unimpressed with the portion sizes compared to how much everything cost. The steak he got was way smaller than expected and it was pretty pricey. He did say it tasted good though. The mac and cheese I got was just alright..nothing special. I consider myself a heavy weight, and was considerably blacked out after two martinis and two of the gimlet lemonades. They must make them double, or considerably alcoholic. HIGHLY UPSET.. got it home, only to discover it was deconstruct it.. watery mashed potatoes, over cooked largely cut carrots, canned over cooked green peas, and a cup of gravy sloppy Joe looking meat.. All separated in small portions in a take out containr( at least it was recyclable- styrofoam).. with a couple of dry little puff pastry balls thrown in.. The worst $70 I've ever spent..
