Used to love this bar Now one of the most expensive places in Sea Isle $9 for a beer. $14-$16 for a cocktail in a plastic cup was charged $14 for a watered down vodka soda when my brother in law paid $12 for a strong long island. Just inconsistent like they make up the prices on the spot Cash only. Was charged $6 at their ATM. No clue why. Said $3 on the ATM but showed up 2 times on my card Has zero ambiance in the evening. Has the vibe of an empty frat basement but with lots of old people Lower the prices and read the room. The Point charges $5.75 for beer. Dead Dog Saloon charges $4-5 for a beer. Ludlum charges $6 for a beer. Many of the restaurants around sea isle are BYOB. Drink ahead of time and then hit the other bars read more

Friendly service ..great atmosphere. We love going for the bands outside. As soon as you arrive, you are greeted and appreciated there.

Fun karaoke night. One of the only places with Karaoke in early July - thanks for hosting! There are a lot of amateur singers, but the crowd is welcoming. The music is very very loud. I recommend turning down the volume to prevent hearing loss. Drinks were somewhat expensive. On the phone they said hard liquor isn't served past 10 pm, but you could get a Jack and coke after those hours. Bathrooms are clean. Parking wasn't too bad. Gravel lot. One street was flooded on the way here but there are other options, don't let it stop you from getting to karaoke! read more

I my wife and I stopped here to eat a few days ago... where to begin. First you have to order all drinks at the bar separate from the food. Apparently the kitchen and the bar are run separately and you can't even have the wait staff bring waters to the table. This is odd but not unforgivable. What was problematic was when we ordered a diet soda the ratio of water to syrup in the soft drink dispenser wasn't right- we got brown water that vaguely tasted like cola. We were told that they were having a problem with their dispensers and the bartender gave us an attitude when we asked for our money back for the drink that we never got. we were off to a great start. Onto the food. My wife ordered the appetizer platter which was just a big plate of fried stuff but the mozz sticks and jalapeño poppers were still frozen when we got them. We sent them back and the same plate of food came back out to us, not a new one. While it was warmer we are pretty sure they just threw the original plate into the microwave and didn't put a fresh platter in the fryer. @owners- if your team fried food that had been bitten again- that's disgusting and contaminates your oil. If your team is microwaving fried food you are lazy and serving a bad product badly. Quesadilla was served with a questionable separated and flavorless dip- no salsa/sour cream and the burger wasnt horrible but it dripped grease. The burgers tomato was translucent and too over ripe to eat. This tells me this kitchen isn't well managed and there is very little care or effort put into the cleanliness of the food. It's only a matter of time before someone gets sick. Don't waste your money or risk your health on the food. read more

During our vacation to Jersey Shore, my partner and I stopped at Kix' to get some liquor. Coming from NH, we're used to affordable, fully stocked, consistent state run liquor stores with wear house sized inventory and associates that are trained in all things alcohol. Before I dive into this particular scenario, I should say this small liquor store was certainly not that. This store denied us our legitimate NH drivers license accusing us of using fake IDs. When asked what the issue was, they claimed "they just look fake". They would only sell us the liquor if we agreed to stay and wait for the police to arrive. We waited with the manager by our side for 3 officers to arrive with the whole store as onlookers. It was the most absurd and humiliating experience of our lives in a liquor store. The police seemed annoyed to even be called. No In-store license scan, not even an old fashioned paper book to see what other states licenses look like. The best part of the whole experience was when our family arrived and purchased liquor with NH licenses while we stood waiting for the police to check ours. If your store is struggling this much with fake IDs that you call the police on every out of stater with a legitimate ID in a vacation spot... something is wrong. Do better guys. Just do better. Your operations are an absolute disgrace to the state of New Jersey. If I learned anything, it's that my home state provides some of the most state of the art liquor stores in the country by sheer comparison. read more

Went here last night with my husband. This place is a complete dump. We sat at the bar and had a few drink. Cash only. We ordered some food from the Andreas menu, this requires a separate check! My husband got a cheeseburger medium which came out very rare. I ordered the pork sandwich with onion rings. It was Actually decent, onion rings needed salt. Overall, was not impressed. We live around the corner and definitely wouldn't go back. Don't waste your money! read more

Haven't been in eight years but man have they upgraded the entire place. We were there right before July 4th week, and the place was a ghost town. We stopped in once a day at different times and it was all the same. Bartenders were excellent and chatted us up, there was even live music one night - even though there were only three of us at the bar. A package store is attached to it and it's definitely a dive bar, but it's clean and the staff is great. read more

Kix is an A-OK establishment offering shore entertainment. Chatterband, Soul Cruisers, Cletus McBride ... all great ways to spend a shore night. However, last night was a good night that turned into just plain annoying. A large group of us walked over for the Chatterband, something we do every summer. Drinks were cold, bartenders were attentive and the band was entertaining. Only problem with the performance itself was the DJ playing in between sets played a lot of what the band was performing (we heard "Blurred Lines" three times in three hours). But that's not that bad. What was bad was, with a dance floor full of people at 1:15 (45 minutes left to go before closing), the band completed their set and immediately starting packing up. This included turning the house lights up a few notches and wheeling HUGE speakers/amps/sound equipment through the dance floor, knocking into dancers and taking up half the space. It was a total cluster and not fair to those of us who wanted to stay and enjoy the space. Total fail on the part of the management!! You really can't wait 45 minutes until closing? We ended up leaving early and not purchasing the last round of drinks we had planned on. Makes me think next time we might just leave before the last set and take our money elsewhere on the island. read more

I love this place for the little bar inside since you can kill time while others are shopping in Acme or Sands. The section of beer is ok and the liquor selection offers all the major brands. The only issue I have is since they not a traditional liquor store they can charge whatever price they want and they do. The market must bear it but we stopped buying any liquor locally when the prices were near double what a PA liquor store would charge. For us for the summer they are missing out a grand or two of liquor and wine. If you absolutely must have it its the place to buy it but if you can bring it that is my recommendation. read more

Great place to go and unwind away from the masses! The shuttle runs regularly so getting here and leaving is no problem. Excellent entertainment , both acoustic and electric. Entertainers like Michael Clayton Moore and the Chatterband make it a must visit!! Could use a little work on the menu (but the food service is good and what they serve is good) and serve food later but all in all a good beach hangout. read more

Interesting combination of local dive bar and liquor store. I can't comment on the bar side of it (although it seemed busy enough and had live music on the schedule), but the liquor store part was pretty expensive; even when compared to nearby liquor stores on the island. read more

Kix is one of the best bars in SIC. I love going to the outside bar! They have the best drinks and the best staff. Both Jason and Colin were amazing bartenders and very friendly to us. The food is amazing too it's owned by Hanks Sauce (hats off to our servers Monica and Nicole!) Everything is very reasonably priced. And, like any bar, if you want a liquor upgrade, open your mouth and ask for it. I know that, at any bar, if I ask for a vodka and tonic I'm getting Smirnoff or worse. So I ASK for a Stoli and tonic. Just got back from trying to enjoy the sensational soul cruisers tonight. This bar was a disgrace! There was no bouncers around and 90% of the crowd should have been thrown out. I visited this neighborhood Bar this summer and found that it has a multitude of rude and inexperienced people working there. Starting with the 2 extremely large woman at the door. A smile and a nice word wouldn't hurt you. For this to be the first impression of the place I should have just turned around ran fast very fast. Then the young girl bartender who was more interested in dancing and talking than making me a drink and when I finally got her attention she didn't know how to make a martini I moved to another bar hoping to get better service but that was not the case. They all seem interested in their tips ( surprised they make any ) them keeping the customer happy. The band was very good ( the Chatterband ) Who ever the owner is should clean house and get a whole new staff. IMHO. read more

Being the 50th anniversary weekend for Kix in Sea Isle City, I thought it appropriate to do a review. It has certainly come a long way in recent years, especially with the addition of Sidekix, the martini bar which opens onto a lovely outdoor dining area, with music on a regular basis. The sandwiches and fries are wonderful. The best roast pork with provolone and broccoli rabe that I've ever had. Thursday nights, the Chatterband plays starting at 9:30 and really packs the house. Another band that plays frequently are The Soul Cruisers as well as popular local bands that you will know. Billy from Philly is there on Sundays from 4 to 8, playing to the older, line dancing crowd. The remodel was a welcome addition, giving it a sleeker atmosphere than what I've known over the years. We have really enjoyed our time spent here, even if just to stop in for a drink and a sandwich. Well worth visiting!! (and can take the jitney!!!))) PS Would give it a five, but the air conditioning still needs improvement.!!! read more
