    Yellowtail Kama.

Kiyora Sushi offers fresh and delicious Japanese food to the Redlands community. My family ordered multiple items as takeaway: Las Palmas sushi sets, a variety of lunch combos featuring mixed tempura and Crunch and California rolls, with a Yellowtail Kama dish. I suggest checking availability of Yellowtail Kama in advance due to supplies being limited. My order filled quickly over the phone and hot when I came to pick it up. The ambiance in the small restaurant was warm and inviting. The food was delicious and I will come back to bring family and friends.

Food was amazing. Prices were good for vegetarian -- a little higher for the sushi, but I suppose that is expected. The place is small but that is OK. The only thing that was a little strange was not being able to sit at a table for dinner. I would have preferred being able to do that versus at the sushi bar. Other than that, everything was very good and the service was good as well.

Ordered takeout and had a pleasant experience! Ordered the dragon roll and baked salmon roll, plus a chicken bowl. The food was ready for us when we arrived. Although we didn't dine in, the place looked so nicely decorated and clean. We were pretty much the only people and the employee was very nice and attentive. Great spot to try out!

First time eating here for dinner. Food was great and fresh. Would definitely come back. Friendly service.

So cute these oranges that are given to us at the end of our meal.

Still my favorite place for sushi that's close by. They do have in seating hours so check before you head over. we go Saturday's for lunch for dine in. But most of the time we go for the to go. It can take a while to make the sushi so make sure you call in almost 30-45 mins before you want it :) they're so nice

Came here tonight for dinner take out as they aren't open to eat inside during dinner hours. I drive from Yucaipa so was worried it wouldn't stay fresh but was pleasantly surprised that the rolls held up with presentation and taste despite the 30 minute commute. I am pretty picky when it comes to sushi because my palate isn't super advanced and I only like certain fish but the Amber and Red Dragon rolls were 10/10 for me. I would definitely come here again.

We ordered the sashimi salad, fuji, geisha, and popcorn roll. I really enjoyed the salad. It had a lot of sashimi and I was nearly full off of that! I could only take a few bites of the rolls before feeling completely stuffed! For salmon, the Fuji roll was a little too rich for me so I would opt for the genki or lemon roll next time. The geisha roll was good and the popcorn roll was just crazy! I feel like that could feed 4 people! I enjoyed the crunchy crayfish on top but it's just too much for two people. After trying a few sushi places in the area, I think this is the best one so far. We also got a nice discount on rolls during happy hour so we will definitely be back!

So, of course, I look on Yelp and came across Nko Niko sushi, which is regarded as one of the best sushi spots in Redlands. I actually went as far as double checking on reddit and the votes were definitely in! This place seemed legit so I had to try it. It's located in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking. There are several restaurants in the area, while Niko Niko is tucked away near the water fountains out front. As I arrived, they quickly sat me at the bar area and my typical rainbow roll and I tried their snow cone roll. The rolls were so good and the fish was fresh! I loved the sweet sauce that was added to the snow cone roll. After about 20 mins, the chef, who's name is Yaser, started asking me what my favorite fish is and why I like it. I told him Albacore and he instantly makes me some concoction with ponzu sauce which was fire. He then asked me if I like salmon and I told him yes and he makes me a seared salmon roll with orange sauce and pepper. By this time I'm stuffed but enjoying this experience. He made going to a sushi restaurant interesting again like when I first tried sushi. We start talking about Japan and he ask me if I ever had salmon skin. I tell him absolutely not and that when I bake salmon I usually take the skin off. He then tells me that I HAVE to try a salmon skin handroll so I figured I should just go with it. My mind was blown!! I actually like salmon skin lol. It was so good! Overall, I had an amazing experience at Niko Niko and Chef Yaser. I left him a generous tip for the experience and he changed the way I will forever dine at a sushi bar now. If you're in the area, please stop at Niko for some fresh tasty sushi and an excellent sushi experience with sushi chef's that know what they're doing. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

I sensed something exciting was going to happen -- but relying entirely on word of mouth. Flash-forward to early 2026, where readers of the local weekly paper named this the Best Sushi of Redlands. I was so excited, and as my visit last week demonstrates -- things have only improved. KYO SUSHI was packed at 5PM on a Tuesday. Not only slammed, but standing room only. I don't know what happened but I'm so happy for them. Two subtle changes have happened and I'm all for them. A LOCAL NEWS channel sharing dreadful stories on the TV has been swapped for hi-def reels of lovely Asian spots, making our escape from the crazy world we live in complete. As an extra touch, we are now treated to soothing jazz, which helps in a room with so many happy customers. A special shout out to Sia, who greets regulars like family and will help you get exactly what you need. Hi to Wendy and the new young lady, all keeping a close eye on customer happiness. I believe KYO is on the brink of having outgrown this location, but a lease is likely keeping them there for a while. It's a shame they can't move next door into the old Von's location -- lol -- because what a place that would be. Enough room in their to farm the fish. Pro Tip -- try the Megan Fox roll!

The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked right in front of us, which made it even better for the kids and the whole table. We ended up splitting the table with six other people, and by the end of the meal my dad was doing sake bombs with them like they had all known each other for years. That honestly made the night. It felt less like just going out to eat and more like a fun little dinner event. Good food, good service, good atmosphere, and a random shared table moment that turned into a great memory. His jokes and comments, including sexual and suggestive remarks, made the women in our family very uncomfortable. We were there to celebrate our son's birthday and expected a fun, family-friendly experience. Instead, the chef's conduct made the occasion uncomfortable and took away from what should have been a special celebration. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the experience. It was mediocre at best, with what seemed like an excessive amount of vegetable oil used throughout the dishes. The food tasted heavy and flat, and for a meal costing over $500, we expected a much higher level of quality. The one standout was the green tea fried ice cream, which was delicious and may honestly be the only item on the menu that we would recommend. For the price we paid, we expected better food, better service, and--most importantly--a respectful and family-appropriate atmosphere. This experience fell far short of those expectations. Management should seriously address the chef's behavior and the overall quality of the dining experience.

The flavor was good and I enjoyed them, but unfortunately they were missing one of my favorite parts of xiao long bao. The soup. There was very little to no broth inside. The braised beef noodle soup was easily my favorite dish. The broth was flavorful, the beef was tender, and it came out at the perfect temperature. My only complaint was the noodles themselves. They were pretty tangled and clumped together, almost like they had been sitting refrigerated before being added to the broth. Once separated, though, I really enjoyed the dish. We also ordered the sliced beef with hot peppers. The beef had good flavor, but I thought the sauce was a little too dry for my preference. And when they say hot peppers, they mean it, there were A LOT of jalapeños. There was also a small wait between receiving the noodle soup and the rest of our entrées, so the timing could have been a little better. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, plenty of space, and is conveniently located near Downtown Redlands. Overall, I'm glad to see a place serving good Shanghai style Chinese food in an area where there aren't a ton of options like this. Definitely a place I'd come back to and try more of the menu. 7/10

I ordered the shrimp and calamari tempura along with the spicy edamame. The edamame was unfortunately overcooked. I also tried several sushi rolls, including the Baked Salmon and Spider Roll. Most rolls come in eight pieces, so I would appreciate a half-order option. It would allow guests to sample more varieties without getting overly full with a couple rolls. Plus, I didn't inquire, but this is the first time I've experience an AYCE order sheet with I my two columns. So I made sure I ordered heavy on my first round. Every time I see reviews saying they've improved, I give them another chance hoping maybe this time will be different, but it never is. The fish, especially the salmon, just doesn't taste fresh to me. I wouldn't necessarily say it smells bad, but the flavor is off almost overly salty and it doesn't have that clean, crisp, fresh taste I expect from sushi. They also consistently skimp on the spicy mayo, and I really dislike that they mix it with eel sauce instead of keeping the sauces separate. The ginger is always mixed in with the wasabi too, which is frustrating, especially because some people may have sensitivities or allergies and don't want everything touching. The miso soup portions are another issue. When ordering through DoorDash or for pickup, the containers are barely filled, yet they still charge around $3-$4 for it. The prices are not cheap, so after three separate attempts, I expected much better quality and consistency. I genuinely wanted to like this place and kept giving it another chance, but at this point I can't justify ordering from here again.
