Ordered take out for lunch I got the chicken tenders and my mom got a burger both were great and ordered chips and dip to share they tasted fantastic I could eat them all day but the size of the dip was disappointing it was the size of a side sauce and came with plenty of chips (homemade chips). But for 12$ I expected more dip than just a small side sauce cup. Other than that I ordered 15min and it was ready which I appreciate. And service was nice when I picked up my order. Went last night after a move because they were one of the few places serving food until 10pm. Got there at 930 and was told its last call for food at 945. After lazily being told to sit "over there" we were rushed the entire time and it was very clear they wanted to close early. I ordered a bacon cheese burger medium rare and it was served the most bland tasteless patty over cooked. It was the most disappointing cheeseburger I've eaten in a long while. I was not a fan of the KKatie's in Quincy (now closed). So, my visit to the Marshfield location was with slight trepidation. But, I now understand what all the rave reviews are about. The burgers are a little pricey but worth it. Thick patties that fill you up. I got the Vermont burger and I would order it again. My husband usually likes thinner style burgers but he liked his cheeseburger. The fries were crispy and tasty. There's limited seating inside but they also have a full bar. I've never been a burger guy... until KKatie's. We get carry out from there about once a month. Consistently good. My favorite is the Good Morning Burger. There was a place back home where I came from that called it a "cackle burger". It has a fried egg on it. Who in the hell would've thought that would've been a good thing 20 years ago but that's when I first had one. Now you see it everywhere and Katie's has the best! Also a nice place to have a couple of beers at the bar while you wait to take your carry out home for the rest of the family. I cannot remember the young lady server who recognizes everyone and makes you feel special. She also used to work at a seafood place in Plymouth. I have not seen her for a while but her personality, service and sense of humor is all offered for free and icing on the cake! Sweet girl! I want to start off by saying I've had enjoyable visits to KKatie's Burger bar and appreciated them as a DoorDash partner while I was getting started amid all the COVID hysteria and shutdowns. The younger girls who do takeout orders who work here were always nothing but super nice to me but the older lady (Blonde Late 40's ish) was really nasty and unpleasant to me when I was trying to pick up an order. This really disappointed me and since then I haven't accepted any DoorDash orders from KKaties or patronized them myself. I think that making people feel welcome and respected in your establishment is more important than ever due to the lack of normalcy and shouting at a delivery person (who is also a customer) is bad business and there really was no call for it. I understand that other restaurants are struggling also but in my opinion seem to work toward creating a "normal" or welcoming environment and KKatie's seems to have a tense energy now that makes me not want to go there. I want to see this place survive so if the seats seem empty lately, please understand how the tone you set makes a difference. I think the food is actually really good overall although I don't consider it to be the most terrific value. My take on the food in a nutshell: The Fried Chicken Sandwich was amazingly good. Very big, well breaded piece of chicken on a nice roll and It was like a more hearty version of the Popeye's Crispy Chicken Sandwich (Which I love) and the Truffle fries were good, not great. They smelled really nice but tasted mildly like truffle oil and Parmesan and weren't robust like the truffle fries I had at restaurants like David Burke Prime at Foxwoods. (Not bad fries just not really truffly enough .) The Hawaiian Burger (Burger with teriyaki sauce and pineapple) was something I tried after delivering one to someone. I got the burger to go with the fries and maple mayo. The Problem with the burger was way too much sauce which ended up making the bun totally soggy to the point the burger was very messy to eat. I did really enjoy the Maple Mayo. I recently decided to return out of curiosity and accepted an order (I have been refusing every order from them) and the gentleman (seemed like a manager or possibly the owner) helped me get the order and the experience was 100 times better than dealing with the hysterical lady. I have been helped by that guy many times and he is great. I thought the new plexiglass barriers are odd and over the top which is my impression but I wonder if this enables them to increase capacity under the new every changing stupid government mandates. The government is making life impossible and miserable for everyone and it doesn't need to be the case. I find many establishments aren't being helpful and are making things worse for customers and it's demoralizing. I noticed BBC in Pembroke has a tense vibe as well and I think it's the reason their business has dropped. Please wake up and understand a tense environment isn't what your customers want. Fix this. Now. I don't like having to write these kind of reviews but unfortunately these businesses are destroying themselves and alienating people by following when they should be leading. read more

KKatie's is a top-notch burger joint. There are three locations, Plymouth Mass, near the Waterfront, Marshfield near the intersections of Route 3A and 139, and in one Quincy Center. I am partial to the Marshfield location. It is a narrow brick lined space with a long L-shaped bar. There are high top tables down the center and regular tables on the far wall that lead to the front. The décor consists of some signs, mirrors, bar memorabilia, and a handful of TVs. There is always fun and recognizable 80s music playing comfortably in the background. Even though KKatie's is a "bar", it is still a family-friendly place. It is always bustling with conversation and children are certainly welcome. There is plentiful parking in the rear. There is a wheelchair-accessible entrance near the back door. The bathrooms are for individual use only, but they are always very clean and well-stocked. The bartenders are savvy, fun, and adept at their craft. The wait staff is attentive and efficient. The cooks are just all All-Stars. They really know what they're doing. When you order one of their 8 oz burgers made with premium beef, medium comes out medium. A nice outer crust with a warm pink center as it should be. This place is all about the hamburger. They are stacked high with the option of every conceivable topping. There are fried pickles, peppercorns, bacon, different cheeses, fried eggs, caramelized onions, you name it. The perfectly buttered and grilled brioche buns seal the deal. There are also plenty of appetizers that are served up in generous portions. You can get quesadillas, boneless buffalo fingers, tater tots with different toppings, chicken wings, french fries, onion rings, the list goes on. The food prices are very fair, the portions are hearty. The bar has a very nice selection of beers both on tap and in the bottle. There are lots of local beer, porters, ales, and stouts. Not to mention all the domestic and imported beers you'd recognize. The liquor selection is pretty vast and you can have any cocktail your palette could conjure. It's a great place for small groups, couples or just to go by yourself to have an appetizer and a drink to watch an hour or two of the game. You will never leave KKatie's Burger Bar hungry or disappointed. I'm a big fan. This place is a true 5 stars all the way. read more

My experience at KKatie's burger bar in marshfield was not one for the books, service was sub par, didn't get waited on for ten minutes(give it take) got the wrong side with my meal after waiting an extended period of time. The atmosphere was loud and "squished" (it felt like we were sitting on top of people). The food was mediocre at best. For a "burger bar" I thought they would step up to the plate a little better. Group placed a takeout order at this place, I ordered a blue cheese burger and sweet potato fries. They forgot about my order and I had to reorder while everyone else had their food. When we did get the burger it was a wet sloppy mess. Taste was ok, not sure what kind of blue cheese they use but it didn't have any clear taste as I believe they mixed in some other sauce. I lived right near downtown Plymouth at least half my life but never went to KKaties until I'd come back on a visit to see family. Probably for the best because i would've spent all my extra money on their amazing burgers and frickles. I look forward to seeing these people at least once a year and set up at least one "date lunch" with my wife around going. Delicious, juicy burgers, great bar atmosphere, not too loud, very creative burger options to choose from for every palate, too. Highly recommend the hell burger if you're willing to take a chance. I'm not super picky when it comes to burgers, but I do compare every burger I have to an awesome local burger joint from home. This place officially comes in at number 2 in great burger places I've tried. The burger I got, which is the KKMac I believe, is very well done. Cooked perfectly to order with a sauce that kicks the burger up a notch. It's messy, but the flavors blended nicely. Just remember to use a lot of napkins. The truffle fries are decent. Not the best I've had, but I have such a love for truffle fries I get them anyway. As per usual, I either get it to go or I ate at the bar. In this case, I'm a to go girl all the way. The first time, I didn't find the girl taking my order to be particularly nice, friendly, or welcoming. No smile, no welcome. Take me order and barely acknowledge my presence. This time, the guy who took my order was super nice, smiled, called me by my name when my order came out. I'm glad I gave the customer service aspect of this place another shot because based on the first visit (minus the taste of the food), I may not have returned to this location. This restaurant is a block from me and the food is decent and the staff is nice but my orders are often wrong.. I order a turkey burger, no sauce, pickles and onions on the gluten-free Udi's bread. Today, I picked up the sandwich and it had aioli sauce and was on a regular bun. I called to tell them what happened (this has happened 2 other times) and they said come back for a fresh sandwich and I said no, I can't as I have a teleconference shortly. I asked them to comp the sandwich which was $19 with a tip and she said she would (who knows). It's too bad as the place is convenient but I have already given this place more breaks than I would have any other place (they have done the same exact thing - put the sauce on and put it on a regular bun). This is the best burger around. I personally get the KKatie burger / low calorie. Not sure why I got this the first time but that's what I've stuck with. Same burger. Same cheese. Just no bun. No big loss there right? Green fries are string beans and are damn good. The dipping sauce is deadly. The bar is decent a bit tight but good. A pretty good variety on tap but wouldn't mind seeing a couple local brews go on. The best part of your day will be the first bite and the saddest will be your last bite. Great place! We went here for a quick bite with my parents before heading back to CT and we were all in the mood for burgers. They are a burger place, but they do have other options and they look (we all ordered burgers) really good. We got there early for dinner, and it's off season for Plymouth, so it was pretty empty, but by the time we left most tables were full. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. My daughter made a HUGE mess with water and they were so patient and understanding. The food was really good and reasonably priced. We ordered the sweet toties, the Vermont burger, bbq burger, hoRseradish burger and the Mac and cheese, we were all very pleased with our food and it came out very quickly! I went here over the weekend with my amazing girlfriend and two of her three teenage boys. KKatie's has a great selection of burgers, so we were all easily able to find something we wanted to eat. Unfortunately, as my girlfriend took a third bite of her burger, she pulled a long hair that was not hers from her mouth and the burger. At that point, she was grossed out and wasn't going to eat anything. When the waitress came over toward the end of our meal, she noticed that one plate looked mostly untouched, and after I explained why, she removed my girlfriend's burger from our tab.
