Feeling confident I went back to have her dye my hair. I had texted her the exact color and toner my hairdresser used. I explained that the highlights were always toned down to give it dimension but she insisted it would be all one color. She fried my highlights by putting me under a hairdryer in foils and whatever toner she supposedly used left me with ugly brassy damaged highlights. I used XMONDO color at home (along with a strong healing conditioner) until I could make it back to Sacramento.

Diana told me things I've never heard before and even sent me home with a cheat sheet. My hair went from an untamed lion's mane to a cute curly cut that makes me smile when I look in the mirror...I haven't felt that way in ages. She also didn't put pressure on me to buy products, which I greatly appreciate. I have a new hair stylist!!!

That being said, she was complaining that she didn't know my hair was long prior to the appointment and ended up charging me $155 for a simple layered haircut, no color. I even came to the appointment with my hair washed and still wet, and she insisted on washing it before cutting it. I was happy with my cut and asked the total, and she wouldn't say it while other clients were present. She handed me a calculator with the total on it (155) and wouldn't look me in the eye as I paid her. Again, it was a good haircut but very sad to leave the salon feeling like I was taken advantage of. I wanted this to be a place I could return but sadly I won't. I hope others can have a better experience.

The hair cut was between $80-$100 (can't remember exactly because I tipped) and it was not worth the price considering it was not a DevaCut. My hair has been splitting all the way up the shaft since this haircut, splitting so bad in ways my hair has never split before. There were also a couple strands that were randomly two inches longer than the rest of my hair in the back?? Again because she wasn't really looking, taking the time to section or check if she was cutting evenly. I do not recommend this place.

I had made an appointment because I was used to making appointments months in advance at my last salon (I moved recently). It does not seem like appointments are necessary. The experience itself was lack luster - I got a wash, cut, and blow dry - which I find pretty standard. I found it odd that she didn't sit me down and take a look at my hair dry or ask me what I really wanted before taking me back, but every stylist is different. The wash was kind of rough, definitely not what I'm used to - which again, may just be a personal preference. The cut was simple - long layers. I told her where I parted my hair because she didn't ask but she told me she'd cut it center because it would look better that way and the part wouldn't matter (gentle foreshadowing - that made the cut look worse). When all was said and done I asked her to blend and soften the layers a little and she did, which I appreciated, but there just wasn't any saving the front - which is what I have to see every time I look in the mirror. The layers in the front on the side I part my hair to are short and harsh and just do not fall nicely. When it came to pay - cash only. Which, thank god I brought cash (maybe I missed something). The cut was $45 but the wash and blow dry was another 30. at that price point I would have been better off going to a Boujie salon for a much better experience and a little more money. Unfortunately I just don't think this is the salon for me. I'm so glad other people have such a great experience, but If you're looking for more relaxing salon vibes with the type of stylist to take the time to talk about what you like, I would not recommend coming here. In short id say this is Super Cut Quality with Fancy Salon Prices - just not worth it unfortunately.
