I went to KLM because a very very bad place (the OLD BRADS CITGO STATION) failed me Truck for Exhaust leak* Which is funny because I had a tune up RIGHT BEFORE I WENT FOR INSPECTION an this guy failed me, said he could fix it, IMO he poked a hole in my Exhaust.... So anyways had to bring the truck to a mechanic so went down the street to KLM...I'm thinking 300$ MAX.....WELL KLM who try their best to make you feel like they are not ripping you off wanted 1000$!!!!!!!! But of course "he would give me a break and do it for 875$ I said... NO WAY. Keep in mind KLM told me I needed a new pipe and bolts... I ended up bringing the car to another LOCAL owned place in Chicopee.... I showed the guy the KLM bill and he laughed at it... The guy showed me where the problem was, it was a hole that did indeed look weird and they fixed it for 200$.... 200 dollars compared to 875. There was NOTHING different that the 2 companies were going to do. Essentially the KLM people were going to replace the SAME pipe...The other place did EXACTLY what KLM said they would do and it cost me only 200$ IN FACT THE OTHER PLACE REPLACED ANOTHER PIPE TOO JUST BECAUSE IT WAS GETTING OLD! So they did MORE work than KLM and still charged me over 600-700 LESS!!! KLM is KNOWN for this, they are super nice to you BUT it's a CON. They charged my mother in law 350 dollars to fix a windshield wiper, she had no choice it was a snow storm. Afterwards I asked another place what they would charge NOBODY including big Chains gave me an estimate of over 120$ and that was the highest. Most places told me 50-100 bucks. DON'T LET KLM FOOL YOU, YES THEY ARE "NICE" TO YOU BUT IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SCAM. read more

KLM is the best auto shop I've ever dealt with. I don't know much about cars and Kevin always takes the time to thoroughly explain what the problems are and will even let me know if I have an issue that could be fixed, but will probably hold up another 6-12 months. I have never once felt that Kevin was recommending anything that was unnecessary at that point in time. He and his wife are extremely kind and friendly and also accommodating. His mechanics must be top notch as I've never had a single issue with any work KLM has performed on my 2008 Dodge Caravan. I even take my vehicle there for oil changes. It's out of my way for just an oil change, but I know KLM will do it right and not try to scam me into replacing something that doesn't need to be replaced. I would recommend KLM to anyone looking for an old school, no bullcrap auto repair location. Oh, I forgot to add that I always talk to my brother who is a car guy living in Tennessee what work I need to have done on the Caravan and he has said that I've always been quoted "good" or "fair" prices...and he's a cheapskate, so if he thinks the charges are good, they must be! read more

Business Owner, Kevin has proven himself to be a honorable businessman. The shop installed a fuel pump into my Mercedez a year ago. However, the fuel pump malfunctioned and needed to be replaced again. I currently live in Florida, but i had the work done at his shop in Chicopee Mass while i was on vacation. After calling Kevin, he did not hesitate to foot the bill for the new pump at the MB dealership, which i can image was more than what it cost him for the previous pump. I returned the previous pump to him as agreed. Yet, i am compelled to spread the word of Kevin's character as an upstanding businessperson. You cannot go wrong with KLM. read more

I'm a new customer, but I felt like I've known Kevin for a long time. I needed major brake line replacement on my truck, called Kevin, I told him my issue. Next day went to the shop made an appointment, the same day, he made arrangements to have the truck towed to shop!! Later that same day, he called me to tell me how bad the lines really are. He gave me a ballpark estimate and 3 days later, the work was completed close to the estimate. I will be going KLM for all my work now. They are WAY WAY over priced...I fell victim to them twice simply because they could see my car right away. They overcharge. They also IMO (can't prove it) say there's things wrong when there's not to get more money out you...They charge DOUBLE what most places charge. DON'T GO THERE. I'm looking for a place right now to fix my car but I already know this place would want at least 700$ to fix it...I know this because I had a problem with my wifes car once and they gave me a price of 560$ I went to another place and got it done for 120$ read more

I have been a longtime customer of Kevin and crew at KLM. They have always treated me fairly and done great work on my awesome 1996 Subaru. Expert technicians, honest quotes and personal approach. It's rare to find all of these traits in one auto repair shop but they're all here at KLM in Chicopee. I scheduled an oil change for my van. During the service, the mechanic performed an all around inspection of the vehicle. Found a caliper on a rear wheel to be leaking all over. They called me to inform me of the findings. Of course I had them do the work. It is very reassuring that these guys are looking out for my safety.
