One of the best gourmet donuts I've tried. My favorite is their cronuts which they make very well. The service is amazing and they have this little robot outside their store that has samples of their donuts. The worker inside the bakery showed us what type of flavors they had for the day. Came in at around 8:30 in the morning and there was no one there. There were also those bots outside giving out samples which was pretty cool. I came in, and I was greeted and helped out right away. I wasn't sure if he was the owner but he was really helpful. I was standing there trying to figure out what I wanted and he guided me and told me what were the most popular donut flavors. I ended up getting the blueberry and tiger's tail which were bomb btw!! After, he offered me a complimentary fresh glazed donut and some cronuts to try and those were my favorite. Came back this morning because I had a hankering for a donut. I get a craving maybe once every month or two for just one donut. Anyway, since I was in the area I stopped by to get a donut for today and possibly tomorrow. I was helped by someone who might have been the owner. He was super friendly so we chatted for a very brief moment. Anyway, when I mentioned the points in passing he told me that the information I received was not correct and that the points from all three locations can be combined. I'm not sure what is what at this point but I wanted to update my review to reflect this. Overall, I still feel like knead is a solid donut shop and I would recommend it to others. They make really pretty creations and even though I only got plain donuts, I can see the care and craftsmanship in everything they put out. I picked up a couple of breakfast items today (a croissant and the.... I forget what the name of the French toast thing is). Was a tiny bit bummed that the croissant left an aftertaste in my mouth and wasn't as good as what I was hoping. It wasn't nasty, it just didn't hit the way that I wanted. Looks wise, it was a very beautiful croissant. That said, I'm not overwhelmed with joy by my overall experience but I'm not underwhelmed either. So I'll just settle on "whelmed" (). At minimum, the staff here seems very, very friendly and that's something you want to experience first thing in the morning. One last bummer is that my points from the other Knead I visited last week (see previous review) did not transfer here. Apparently they are the same business but under different ownership which means two different points systems. This didn't factor into my number of stars, I just wanted to make you, dear reader, aware just in case you weren't. All in all, would I return? Absolutely! Who "kneads" donuts? I do!!! Those who know me are well aware that I am a donut eater! They are probably my favorite food of all-time! I can eat them 3 times a day if my health allowed me too. I heard about Knead Donuts after finding them on Yelp. Was searching for donut shops that I have not visited in the area, and Knead Donuts in Cerritos appeared on the page. Found them in the same strip mall that California Fish Grill is located. Parking was completely packed in the area that the shop was located. So, I parked in the Target parking lot and walked on over. Was greeted nicely right away by the crew. Shop is small. No place to sit at in order to eat the donuts you purchase. When I arrived this afternoon, they had about a dozen donut flavors to choose from. They did not have the classic donut flavors of Mom and Pop donut shops. The donuts that Knead makes are more gourmet. Very creative and beautifully made donuts, and they are priced at gourmet prices as well. Definitely higher end. I purchased two donuts to share with my wife. The Lemon Old Fashion Donut tasted alright to me. Can definitely taste the lemon flavor. Wifey liked the crunch of the donut as well. 3.5 stars for this donut of theirs. The Cronut was my other purchase. It was fresher, and it was one of the better cronuts that I've tried anywhere. Would definitely purchase this donut again. 4 stars for their Cronut. It won't be the first time I stop by Knead Donuts. Look forward to trying more of their creative donut concoctions. She was very kind and was telling us which donuts were popular, which happens to the the cronut and the guava cream cronut. She was also very patient with us because there were a lot of delicious donuts/cronuts to choose from. We ended up coming home with the strawberry cream donut and the guava cream and oof, it was as good as it looked! Really enjoyed the quick visit. The cronuts were delicious and the service was top notch. AAPI owned, which is awesome :) They're located at a generally busy plaza and I do hear that their popular items do get sold out if you come later in the morning! Every once in a while I get hit with cravings for donuts, and when I do I usually drive out to Crafted Donuts in Fountain Valley, Oliboli in Tustin, or Sidecar in Costa Mesa. The last time I got donut cravings, I made the mistake of stopping by Knead instead. I say mistake because in my opinion, the donuts at Knead were lacking in comparison, and failed to satisfy my cravings. I tried the guava, creme brulee, and the strawberry shortcake donut. The three donuts came out to over $15. Other than the guava, which I did enjoy, the other two donuts were unremarkable. So I really didn't feel like the donuts here warranted such a high price tag. Happy to know they open at 7a. 85 was closed due to remodel and wanted to check this place out. Luckily it was perfect timing since I was picking up treats for the kids to take to school. Their choices at the moment was a little limited (we did get there at 720a). They have cronuts. Its our first time visiting this place so I got the guava and cheese cronut (guave and cheese are a must anywhere), my son got the cronut bites (like donut holes) and my daughter got plain vanilla glazed donut. Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen needed a trifecta of "Wow!" A friend who needed some chocolate to get her through an upset, a natal day for a dear friend, and another person who works with a smile and deserved a Friday lift. Knead was the place for all of it! The donuts and the cronuts, and the coffee (oh my!) were each beautiful to the eye and delicious for tummies. The s'mores donut received rave reviews, the lemon old fashioned donuts were amazing, and the fruit topped donut and guava cream donut were perfect - and had the recipients clamoring for more! Both Cronuts and donuts were so good. I really love that their chocolate glaze is actual chocolate and not just brown colored sugar glaze that majority of other places seem to do. The blueberry donut was also good and has a slight sour tang to it which is great! I love sweets, but sweet can be too much which a little sourness is appreciated to cut through all the sweetness. The blue glaze with sprinkles and rainbow sour belt donut is sooo cute and the rainbow belt is still pliable which means to me that it is fresh! All the donuts and cronuts are so pretty. My first visit to Knead Donuts was at their LB location on 7th St. When I heard that they opened another location in Cerritos, I was so happy to have one near my house! I love that they have fun flavors and their donuts are just too pretty to eat. And they don't taste sweet either. The donuts are kind of pricey but I felt it was worth it because they're slightly bigger than regular donuts and has way more toppings. I'll be back for more! read more

I go anywhere to try new donut places. This place happens to be in same busy plaza as many of the restaurants that I happen to be to pick up dinner. I took a detour to get my after dinner sweets. The person behind the counter was super friendly. Asked me if it was my first time there and asked how I found out about the place. My answer was yelp. I love donuts. This place has been opened for a few weeks and I was patiently waiting to try this place. Walked in wanting to try one and we'll, I tried six. The owners, I would assume were so helpful and served us the best customer service . They recommended a few and we're just so awesome. Was curious and decided to stop in after an appointment in the same shopping plaza. Right when I walked in I saw the case was filled with delicious looking donuts. I knew I was going to walk out with a box of them. With the hardest restraint I only picked out 6 donuts: crème brûlée, Oreo filled cronut, strawberry cronut, berry cheesecake, tiger tail, and a rainbow sprinkles. I chatted with the staff and she was so friendly. She offered a sample of their Vietnamese coffee. I didn't take her up on it as I already had my limit of caffeine for the day. She threw in a free glazed croissant instead. My favorite had to be the crème brûlée donut. The texture of the candied shell outside with soft bread and crème inside was a great combination. All the others tasted amazing as well. The price is higher than an average pink box donut ranging from $5-$8 each, but these donuts are not average. I think the price is justified. I was very skeptical of this place at first, because doughnuts are such a comfort food and I am very particular about them. But, these doughnuts definitely blew me away. When I first walked up to the storefront, I was greeted by a little robot serving samples to take. The sample of the day was the strawberry shortcake, which my girlfriend ended up getting after trying it. The strawberry doughnut was more on the sweeter side and tasted like one of those shortcake ice cream pops you buy at an ice cream truck!! So yum. The one I got (left) was the guava cronut and let me tell you that this doughnut was incredible. Both of these doughnuts are on the flaky and moist side, rather than cake-like. If you prefer this style of doughnut like me, then I would suggest to try this place. The price point definitely is higher, but you are getting high quality doughnuts. Stopped in earlier today to sample the new shop cause I enjoy donuts. Picked up the Oreo and Guava Cheesecake. $5/Ea. Overall, the donuts are 3.5 (Oreo) and 4/5 (Guava) but not $5/EA good. I've had Donutman, Sidecar, Randy's, Voodoo, and DKs donuts and these donuts from Knead just simply do not stand out to warrant the price of admission. I understand that rent/inflation is a thing but at the same time i can get a more satisfying experience for cheaper elsewhere at any of the other shops listed above for cheaper, so hopefully this shop steps up the game or adjusts accordingly. This donut shop is amazing! Their donut are nice and light. Their fillings aren't too sweet and won't get too overwhelming after eating one. My favorite is the guava follow by lemon poppy seed then strawberry cheesecake. The matcha one I feel is a bit not unique as a flavor but still good. But that guava tho.....is soooooooooo delicious! I was pleasantly surprised when Knead opened up a new location in Cerritos. I've spoken to the owners in the past at their Long Beach location and they're always so kind. As for the donuts, the fruit loop donuts and the "Tasty" are awesome! I also like how this location is open until 9pm to take advantage of the busy shopping center. The other locations closes at 3pm.
