Picture shown is Bixby Knolls sandwich not Lakewood store I've given the Cassidy's in Lakewood multiple chances, and unfortunately the experience has been consistently disappointing compared to the Bixby Knolls location. I always order the same bacon, egg, and cheese on a cheddar jalapeño bagel. The photos speak for themselves. The Bixby Knolls sandwich is loaded with bacon, toasted properly, and the bagel is fresh with an even cheddar and jalapeño topping. It's exactly what you'd expect. The Lakewood location is the complete opposite. Even after asking for extra bacon, I was told they only use three strips of bacon, and the sandwich still came with barely any meat. On top of that, they don't toast the sandwich when preparing it, which leaves the bagel tasting stale and takes away from the overall experience. The cheddar jalapeño bagels are also inconsistent, with uneven toppings and noticeably lower quality. I've been to the Lakewood location three separate times hoping it was just an off day, but it's been the same result every time. Meanwhile, I've never had to ask for anything special at the Bixby Knolls location--they simply make a better sandwich every visit. I was told the locations are owned separately, and if that's true, it definitely shows. I hope the Lakewood owner spends some time at the Bixby Knolls store because the difference in quality, preparation, and consistency is night and day. read more

My daughter has been craving a chocolate chip bagel and Cassidy's showed up on my google search So today was my first time trying, it was about 2:15 pm and I knew I could not make it to the location in a timely fashion ( they close at 3) so l ordered through door dash. I ordered one chocolate chip bagel w/ cream cheese, and a blue berry bagel w/ cream cheese. When my order arrived- it was neither bagel that l ordered. Just whatever they decided to substitute because they were out of the flavors I ordered- A cranberry and a red velvet? I don't understand why there was no communication about substitution, or them just not accepting the order cuz they were out of what we ordered. So after spending $30 for two bagels and waiting over 30 minutes for the delivery. (I know that's door dash not Cassidy's) it wasn't even what l ordered, disappointed is an understatement. I've seen several of these places around and this one was convenient to where I was running errands. It's a free standing building with a drive through. Very different than the other locations I'm familiar with. I walked in to order as I prefer to have time to browse the menu on a first visit, plus look at displays for options to see what looks best. There was no line and I was helped quickly. The place is open with lots of natural light, providing seating both inside and out. I ordered a coffee beverage and bagel with lox sandwich. Coffee was ok, but the bagel and toppings were very good. I would definitely come back! Super easy parking. I like with this one there is a drive thru ; which is pretty speedy on orders, I got a Joe special on an everything bagel with tapatio hot sauce on the side. The bagel is warm and soft with a slight crunch from being toasted. My only critic would be the amount of bacon put in the sandwich. I think one more slice would do justice. We got the lox with asiago bagel, it had a generous amount of cream cheese, silky smoked salmon and fresh topping, everything tasted really balanced and fresh. If you want something quick but made to order with healthier, quality ingredients than a burger, a bagel sandwich should be high on that list. I had a sleeping baby in the car, so I most options for a quick lunch were not feasible, and I didn't want to do drive-thru fast food, so I finally tried Cassidy's newest location which thankfully has a drive-thru. I had the Maddy that has layers of pastrami with a garlic bagel, and I had a hard time putting it down. What's nice about this is how thin but tender the pastrami is and even the pickles were cut the long way to ensure that each bite wasn't leaving anything out. The garlic bagel was topped with heaping amounts of toasted mince garlic and added a nice crunchy texture with a soft and pillowy breading on the inside. The employee was really nice and seemed to take pride in her work, and those are small but noticeable details that always make the experience more enjoyable. read more

I've been here quite a few times since their soft opening. It's nice having a Cassidy's much closer to my house. Customer service is friendly enough. Nothing out of the ordinary. The exterior looks large because it used to be the Wells Fargo building. But, the ordering and seating area seems small. I feel awkward standing near the seating area where other customers are eating in after I've ordered. But if I move to the small area towards where the tv is, people think I'm standing in line to order. After you place your order and pay, they ask for your phone number to text you when your food is ready. And they also give you a buzzer with a number. Seems pointless in my opinion to have your buzzer go off and get a text on your phone at the same time. I'd say a buzzer would suffice. I will say that their bagels taste fresh, soft and chewy in the inside. Will be back again. read more

We have been going to Cassidys Corner since the 1st location opened. My husband thought it would be nice to pick up breakfast from the Woodruff location for mothers day and surprise me... well it surprised me alright, the desi he ordered was horrible! I've never had such a poor quality meal from Cassidys. The bagel wasn't toasted, the avocado was brown and tasted horrible, and the Costco pre-cooked bacon was cold.If you are going to charge almost $14 for a bagel sandwich I would expect better quality. I always order the desi bagel and it's a good size & will definitely have you full. Drive-Thru was nice but people ordering don't know what to get, would be nice to have a pre menu posted before ordering, to help people decide what to get. Things seem very overpriced here. I decided to go to Starbucks instead of trying coffee here. My jalapeño bagels did not have a jalapeños in them! I just got a little sliver of jalapeño in one of my bites. I spent almost $25 for two sandwiches, and drive-thru asks for a tip? I've never seen a drive-thru ask for a tip! Tip culture is crazy! I did not sit down and eat there and no one waited on my order. I've been coming to Cassidy's for several years, and I was genuinely excited when this drive-thru location opened. Even though Del Amo is close, this one is literally a street away, and the drive-thru option felt like a huge upgrade. I've given this location many chances, but the consistency just isn't there. It's usually younger staff, and for some reason they always ask for a name, yet I rarely get my points because they don't ask for the phone number, and I don't always use the same card for it to pull up automatically. Over time I've experienced small issues, bagels not toasted, a random liquid on my bagel making half of it soggy, burnt, no cream cheese, and even receiving the wrong order. I let those things go, hoping it would improve. But today was the last straw. The drive-thru was packed with five cars ahead of me and four behind. When I finally reached the speaker, I waited in silence for two full minutes. Someone eventually came on just to say, "Thank you for coming to Cassidy's. It'll be a minute or two." No problem,except I wish they had told me they were out of cream cheese before I waited in that line. After sitting there for an extra 10 minutes, they finally told me they'd run out, and I drove away with no bagels at all. At this point, it's really disappointing. I wanted this to be my go-to location, but the lack of communication and quality control is becoming a pattern. I'm hoping things improve, but for now, this experience was extremely frustrating. I've really wanted to like this place given my repeat visits, but time and time again, my bagels have always had one single layer of lox. And, always again, the lox is in small pieces and never has there been a piece of lox bigger than 1 or 2 inches at best. The freshness of food is great, bagels are delicious, and they are well-made lox bagels, otherwise. Question: Aren't lox bagels called 'lox bagel' because they are supposed to have enough lox to have it be part of the dish/item name? One broken pieces layer doesn't cut it for me any longer.
