We recently had Knights Air out during the cold snap because our unit was making an odd noise and the fan wasn't running. The technician (who didn't give his name) was in and out in about five minutes, hooked up a sensor, and told us the motor was blown. We decided to get a second opinion -- and we're very glad we did. The other company confirmed the system was working properly and explained that what we heard was simply the unit going through a defrost cycle. It has been working great ever since. Based on our experience, the diagnosis from the tech at Knights was either careless or unethical. We were quoted $1,100 for a repair that was never needed. Very disappointing and frustrating. Knight's AC Company charged me $700 for repairs on a thermostat issue, then the AC stopped working the next day. The owner (Lee), who previously worked on the unit, touched a wire and allegedly blew the motherboard and condenser. Shane (an employee) came out three days later but could not fix it. I have not received any response from Lee despite multiple calls and texts. I'm asking for a refund or a credible repair plan with a clear timeline. I do not recommend this business until they address these concerns and restore communication. read more

What luck finding this treasure of a company! Our thermostat died, hubby could not change it so he called this company. We were given an appointment for the next day. Lee, the owner, arrived on time, confirmed it was the thermostat and changed it out for a new one. He also gave me advice and recommendations on issues I was having. Sooo nice. Unfortunately the thermostat he installed turned out to be faulty. We called the next morning and Lee came that same day and changed out the thermostat with a better one at no additional charge! I contacted Knights Air on Monday after noticing upstairs unit not coming on. They came out and diagnosed on Tuesday. They were here about 10 minutes. Received a quote for $935 to replace motor. The unit was only a year old so the motor was under warranty (they had to verify). So they said the charges were for labor. They acquired the motor and came on Thursday to replace. They spent 20 minutes to replace the motor. Everything seems to be working again. However $935 for 30 minutes on site seems excessive. They said there was also a "transport" charge to pick up motor. But even with that this price seems very high. read more

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. They came out to give us a second opinion after another company had been pushing that we replace our entire system ($11k job). Turns out the issue was very minor and could be fixed with a new air filter and taking a shopvac to the exterior pipe. Knights knew what the other company had recommended and could have easily suggested the same repair at a lower cost. But they didn't try to hustle us. Honest, no BS, real people. We are so happy we listened to the serval recommendations from neighbors and friends. We will never go with another company again. read more

Knights' repair quote $6,500-actual cost by a reputable company $1,040. Lee of Knights Air Conditioning repaired a leak to my HVAC which he alleged was caused by an unstable platform the condenser was placed on. Lee repaired the leak and stabilized the platform for more than $700. The repair failed within hours and Knights returned the next day and informed me there were three more leaks and said my 2-year-old condenser which he claimed wasn't under warrantee needed to be replaced at a cost of more than $6,500. Due to the cost involved I contacted two other AC repair companies, both finding only a single leak in the reversing valve at the same spot Knights had attempted to repair. Air Rescue found the unit was in fact under warrantee and installed a reversing valve kit for $1,040. The HVAC has been working ever since. You too would be wise to question and independently verify any repairs Knights Air Conditioning suggests. read more
