We put laminate in our entire house minus 2 bathrooms and Knights Floors came in with the best estimate by far. Kevin was very easy to work with and accommodating. His guys were awesome and very hard working and diligent. We only had to move very few things in preparation for the job, they did everything else in a very efficient manner. We rented a U-Haul online and used Knight's Floors for pickup and initiating the business. My partner had already used a credit card to reserve the U-Haul online, so when they took my credit-card information and I asked them if I would be charged, they assured me that I wouldn't. After the move I noticed the charge on my credit card and attempted to call Knight's Floors to speak with them about the charge. Their phone doesn't answer - EVER. I still haven't heard back from Knight's Floors about this (after 2 weeks) and am very unhappy with the service. EDIT: I was able to contact U-Haul and find out that I wasn't double-charged but I still don't appreciate the failure in service and communications. read more

One of the things that is important to me when I undertake the stressful task of home improvements is finding contractors who are not only fair and do great work, but who are pleasant to work with and go above and beyond to offer ideas and options... even when it may not benefit them. Kevin is one of these people in the trades who is fair, fulfills his promises, and adds that layer of input and expertise that many in the trades don't take the time to provide. Just finished having our new kitchen floor installed by Knight's Floors. It was a great experience from start to finish. Kevin's installer did a great job and took a lot of pride in doing all the little things that can make or break a project like this. Dealing with Kevin Knight was a lot of fun. He has a great sense of humor and a lot of experience behind him. This is an edit of the review posted above. About a week after the floor was installed we noticed a board that was loose and squeaked when it was stepped on. It was right in front of the fridge so it was not in an area that was usually walked on. We called Kevin and he felt certain that he knew what the problem was and assured us it would be an easy fix. When he came over to look at it he was surprised at what he saw. In order to fix that one board they had to undo and reinstall about a third of the total floor area. He did the repair (which took and additional half days work) with not a second thought or any attempt to get around the problem. Now our floor is perfect. Turns out there was a failure in the interlocking mechanism of the board. Kevin said it was the first time he had ever had a failure of that kind with the product he used for our floor. Nice to know that there are people that still stand behind their work. read more

Knight's Floors was recommended by a contractor acquaintance. Knight's replaced a bathroom floor covering after water damage. The work was perfect and the new floor looks very nice - better than what I had in there prior. So I rehired Knight's to install a new kitchen floor after the upcoming Thanksgiving holidays (will update after that install). The owner, Kevin, is pretty nice and has been honest with me. His bid was much better than what I got from the Costco flooring contractor. read more

I could not be more disappointed! It was tricky getting in touch with Kevin Knight, but then he quickly came and gave us a very professional assessment of what our flooring needs and issues were. He gave a quote on the spot that we were able to accept. He scheduled the work and said he would come back with samples another day. He did not come through with samples, communications or work. He has strung us along and not followed through and does not respond to my calls. Now I will enter the school year as a teacher that works far more than full time. I do not have the time to find and coordinate with another flooring professional at this point, so the project is hung; a new bathroom vanity takes up space in my garage and I will need to wait till next summer to start over with someone that will need to have more integrity than Kevin Knight. Don't waste your time and energy. read more

This is a family owned and operated business that has been around since 1970, and for good reason! Not only were they cheap, but they worked me into their busy schedule in time for the holidays. My family all commented on how great my house looked with the new carpet. read more

This guy is on something, as the previous review stated. He never finished the job and the part they did was terrible. He came to look at it, he looked like completely messed up and started screaming and cussing at me. My husband just got home and came in and almost had to call the police to get him out of the house. Now we have to try and get our money back to have the job finished by someone else. He also was screaming profanities in front of my kids and neighbors. You would never know either because the lady who runs the shop is so nice. So you wouldn't know until it's too late and he's in your house already. I would not put yourself or family in a situation like this.... read more

I can't say enough about Knights Floors. We have used them a couple of times for home and a rental. Each time we have had to make some sort of change to our original estimate. The first one was at the last minute, having to remove the subfloor and installing new subfloor to get rid of mold. They didn't blink an eye and made the very grueling labor intensive change to rip out the floor. This saved our remodel from getting moved back a week or two! And the second time, once again, a change has been made and all made so easy! We will keep coming back:) read more

My landlord blamed us for the rip in the flooring, even though, who knows how many years ago the OLD flooring was done. Other rips around the refrigerator too, and a new baby living in the house. We moved in 2 1/2 years ago and the ex manager (two have quit) had made note of the burns in the floor. Well, I realized when Mr.L (Landlord) blamed us for the rip- that most likely he'll take it out of the $2,800. deposit AFTER we move out to replace it. Instead, I knew I should just cough up the $$ and WE can live with the new flooring. Mr. L couldn't find who floored for his other rentals on either side of us. (We are in the block of #3407~ #3423 Mission Dr. I'd LOVE to see YELP about LANDLORDS!). FINALLY, after I'd gotten a $1,900. estimate from another floorer, he came thru with Knight's Floors who had the measurements for here still. Mr. L gave my wrong phone #, so I stressed about the $1,200. check that'd been cashed already for it, finally I called them myself. The man doing the work right now, is doing a fantastic job. I watched what was UNDER the last crap that was pulled off. I watched his sanding the floor and putting down, maybe some sort of concrete to dry while he had lunch in the van. He's very nice and I'd love to talk more with him, but I don't speak spanish sorry to say, and his english is nice but had for me to understand. He did take the time to try to answer my questions. It's a much harder job than I'd imagined. But I'm so grateful to see how diligently he keeps at it! read more
