Had a great time here both times we went. The bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat both inside at the bar rail and outside on the outdoor rooftop area, and both were great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had snacks, drinks, and a wonderful time.

Food - Delicious Drinks - Perfection Service - Outstanding We came here to have some apps and a few drinks before our comedy show at the BOB. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was absolutely amazing when we stepped out into the space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Situated in a great area with rooftop views, they have a great cocktail menu along with some great German-style food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was amazing and had fantastic recommendations for us. Amazing time.

Friendly service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Rooftop space is modern and hip, with amazing views at sunset.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Burger with the add on sweet potato fries was delicious.

We always have a good experience here. The food is always good. I recommend the steak sandwich if that's your thing. The cocktails are always changing and also really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a great ambiance with several different seating style options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitstaff has always been friendly and quick.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Knoop was such a fun spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We stopped in for an afternoon drink to take in the rooftop vibes, and it didn't disappoint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As expected with a rooftop bar, drinks were on the pricier side--I had a delicious (and strong) $14 Paloma. Service was great, and overall I'm glad we made the stop!

I loved my visit to Knoop! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a little bit of a tricky time finding it (it's in the hotel, elevators up to the top/8th floor), but once we found it, we really enjoyed the food and ambiance![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's very vibey, if you will, with views of town and a nice sunset.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoor/outdoor seating, with tables, high tops, and more lounge like seating as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food exceeded expectations! For two people, we tried: - Bikini Bottom Buns; brown butter poached lobster, crab & shrimp, lemon aioli, butter bibb, fresh herbs, shaved asparagus, toasted buns - Dock of the Bay; wonton tostada, avocado crema, bay scallops, shallot, thin sliced jalapeño, cucumber lime dressing, julienned radish, edible flower - Luv N' Peas; house made gnudi, pebble creek mushrooms, sweet pea pesto, lemon whipped ricotta, toasted walnut, pea tendril Everything tasted phenomenal and was beautiful presented. Only thing was that the lobster buns and mushroom/pea dish were decadently rich! Lobster/seafood in the buns was a good amount and so buttery and savory. The mushrooms were gorgeous and tasty. Scallop tostadas were lighter and full of complementary flavors and textures. We left absolutely stuffed. I believe they change up their menu frequently.

We were staying at the Hilton Canopy when an unexpected snow storm came through. Neither of us were really dressed for it so we wanted to stay nearby. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were so fortunate to find out that Knoop is a rooftop bar right in the hotel![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Often times hotel bars are boring. But like this unique hotel, there was nothing boring about Knoop![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The walls close for the winter, but there is outside seating in the summer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were some beautiful views and also private seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The snow gave this an even more warm and romantic feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had already eaten so we just came for a glass of wine. The bartender was great! Very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to come back in about a month!

Took us a minute to find but it was worth the hunt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful setting and backdrop to enjoy a cocktail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks are on the pricey side, to be expected, but are unique. They have a happy hour until 7 but it is quite limited. My husband rum and coke sounded lame but it was anything but. My Paloma was decent. Very friendly staff.

Talk about a hidden gem! Knoop has changed quite a bit since they first opened, but it's such a cool, vibey spot. Located on the 8th floor of the Canopy by Hilton hotel, it boasts a "rooftop bar" which is more like an outdoor patio, but I'll take it. The decor and theme is Scandinavian and modern which is unique and fun. The menu is quite a bit different and unfortunately they got rid of the bluegill which I really loved. However, they have a nice selection of delicious-sounding plates. My review is focused on their new Sunday brunch, which just started on May 21, 2023. I believe it's going to be every third Sunday (previously they weren't open on Sundays). I highly recommend reservations as the space isn't huge. They advertised the brunch as a buffet for $25 and a $10 cover charge, which would get you a drink. I'm not really sure why they wouldn't just say $35 per person which includes a drink, but either way, I think it's a great price. We opted for outdoor seating which was really lovely. You can get either a mimosa or a bloody Mary for your included drink option. The buffet had a nice spread of mostly savory items including frittata, hashbrown casserole, bacon, biscuits and gravy, shrimp and grits bites, hot honey chicken, peaches and cream parfait, and fried bread pudding. Everything was really good and I definitely ate my money's worth! DJ AB was playing some awesome music which gave it a bit of a party vibe. I'd definitely come back for this brunch, especially with a group. I also need to try out their dinner menu - the champagne dip & caviar dreams is calling my name!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're in Grand Rapids and looking for a spot with incredible skyline views, Knopps Rooftop should be at the top of your list![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We recently tried it out, and the experience was fantastic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed, perfect for enjoying a beautiful evening with friends or a date.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The charcuterie board was impressive, with a great mix of cheeses, meats, and accompaniments that were both visually appealing and delicious. It's an ideal choice for sharing! We also tried the warm, soft pretzels, which came with dipping sauces that added just the right touch of flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And of course, the panoramic city views were absolutely breathtaking, especially as the sun started to set over the skyline.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Knopps has nailed the balance between a great menu, laid-back vibe, and stunning scenery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here with my coworker for dinner during a business trip. Staff here were very friendly and attentive; Nice view and vibe with the roof top; Food was very good and in good portions. Definitely recommend :)

Maybe 3.5 stars, but because of a slight edge in ambiance, we'll round it up to 4 stars. This place has a rooftop restaurant/bar vibe in Downtown Grand Rapids. The space is half-outdoors/half-indoors, thought the doors separating the areas was wide open so you sort of got that outside vibe if you're not seated outdoors. The menu had some fun puns and names for entrees, but it felt like things were a bit pricier than what you got for them. Not that it tasted bad, but I was just expecting a little bit more considering the price tags. The drinks weren't your usual run-of-the-mill fare, and I think they were worth their eleveated cost compared to the food. Overall, come here for the ambiance and decent but (in my opinion) slightly overpriced food. In the future, I could see myself coming here just for drinks and maybe going out somewhere else to eat for dinner beforehand.

In fact, my kids laughed at my wife when she got a salad and wasn't overly impressed "Mom, why would you get a salad at a place with great burgers?!?" My thoughts exactly. The service is decent, the space is comfortable for a downtown spot on Monroe Center. When I visit, I focus solely on the burgers and I've never been disappointed. The 'Meat Wagon', topped with ribeye, ham and bacon just wants to cuddle your belly from the inside. The 'Otto Von Burger' topped with a fried egg and bacon is one of the best examples of its kind. The 'Alabamer' is great when you're craving pulled pork and bacon on your burger. If you just want a traditional burger, you have that option and won't be disappointed. Also, the loaded fries are solid, but personally, I would pass on the fancier offerings. Remember: Burgers over fancy apps and skip the salads and you'll be fine.

Coming from someone who loves a hoppy IPA and an amber, they combined my two worlds into one. So, it was a natural easy love. For my next, I went with their "Blinky's Black IPA" which was good but got more a weak porter feel than IPA. Like I said, it was good and I'd drink it again but with that expectation. FOOD: I went with an olive burger with be try fresh and real ingredients. The burger itself was full of flavor; add the rest of it and it was phenomenal. We ordered arancini as a starter that came out tasting crisp like a tator tot, but the shape and taste actually reminded me more of a fried tteokbokki (Korean rice noodle) known for its deliciousness through its texture highlighting the spicy sauce. This would've been amazing had they had a nice gochujang mayo combo to dip this crispy treasure in, rather than ranch and pizza sauce. Next we tried the tikka masala pizza. Fun and inventive idea... much better than the naan pizza I had in Muskegon... however the sauce didn't taste as good as my homemade tikka masala base and though the pizza was tasty with varied texture, we found it somewhat lacked seasoning especially on the protein. If I were to construct it, instead of potato I would've had chicken, red pepper, cilantro, fresh avocado and pickled onion. Yum!
