Stout, black IPA, IPA, prickly pear beer
Katy C.

I'll be honest, I hadn't really been that interested in stopping in to B.O.B.'s Brewery since it's in the Bob and there are so many other breweries I can visit with much more accessible parking. However, my boyfriend and I were downtown and we decided to stop in for our last stamp in our Brewsader passport. I'm glad we did! We ordered a flight with a black IPA, oatmeal stout, IPA, and a sour prickly pear beer (listed on the website as a sour Gose). They were all excellent! The stout was creamy and smooth, both IPAs were well-balanced and my favorite was the fruity and refreshing prickly pear beer. I ended up ordering a pint of the sour because I enjoyed it so much. Our server was great; she kept checking on us and asked which beers we liked. We didn't order any food, but the wings looked really good. They have popcorn and peanuts, which always makes me like a bar just a little bit more. The atmosphere was laid back and not too loud, which was great - it's nice to not have to shout when you're enjoying some beers. There are some lounge areas with a couple of couches as well as cornhole set up. I was so pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the beers at B.O.B.'s Brewery! I'm going to make a point to go back again soon.

Service is great. Ambience and food and service. Busy most times. But quick. Lots of people at the BOB.

I've only been here for the beer and it's surprisingly good. I don't expect a mainstream bar to have good self brewed beer, but they do.

Hazelnut Java was excellent. Hubby had a Spooky Action and says it's a solid IPA. The best part of our visit was our bartender, Jeremy!

I was not expecting to find exceptional barbecue in Grand Rapids, yet that's exactly what this place dishes up.

Welp. Another brewery with some of the best food I've found. Beer was good too but holy geez, the…read morefood! BEER: I went with "The Vast Skies" which is described as a "hoppy amber ale". Coming from someone who loves a hoppy IPA and an amber, they combined my two worlds into one. So, it was a natural easy love. For my next, I went with their "Blinky's Black IPA" which was good but got more a weak porter feel than IPA. Like I said, it was good and I'd drink it again but with that expectation. FOOD: I went with an olive burger with be try fresh and real ingredients. The burger itself was full of flavor; add the rest of it and it was phenomenal. If I had to complain about something, I could have used a touch more olive sauce. Now the egg roll... I went with the "Guava the Hutt". I'll just say, I ordered two to go in hopes I can resurrect them in the air fryer later. The back half of the building is a pickleball area and the front half is the brewery and restaurant. Very cool look as they have a few shipping containers as sitting areas. Plenty of seating where I didn't feel jammed in. Also, a few arcade games. The service was friendly but know that it is minimal as you will order from the QR code at your table and order drinks at the bar. Definitely worth checking out and plan on returning.

We split the sliders and the pierogis. The sliders were prepared perfectly. Grilled onions were excellent. Soft buns. The pierogis were a fusion. Elite Elote. They were fantastic the pickled onions were incredible. The line crema was also very good. I had the Koellefornia Kolsch was a fantastic beer. Very refreshing crisp taste. I wished I lived near this place I would be a regular. Thanks for a good time.

I love the…read moreconcept and the ever changing and evolving drinks on tap as well as an inventive sounding menu. The staff were friendly and we appreciated "The Library" filled with games and books. I was nostalgic and read Hunter's Guide to 1996 Michigan complete with a recommendation to stop at the now obsolete Pleasure Island Water Park. That used to be my absolute favorite getaway as a kid! We ordered arancini as a starter that came out tasting crisp like a tator tot, but the shape and taste actually reminded me more of a fried tteokbokki (Korean rice noodle) known for its deliciousness through its texture highlighting the spicy sauce. This would've been amazing had they had a nice gochujang mayo combo to dip this crispy treasure in, rather than ranch and pizza sauce. Next we tried the tikka masala pizza. Fun and inventive idea... much better than the naan pizza I had in Muskegon... however the sauce didn't taste as good as my homemade tikka masala base and though the pizza was tasty with varied texture, we found it somewhat lacked seasoning especially on the protein. If I were to construct it, instead of potato I would've had chicken, red pepper, cilantro, fresh avocado and pickled onion. Yum! To drink, I enjoyed a refreshing ginger Kombucha sourced from Walker Brothers in Nashville Tennessee. The kids loved their cheese pizza and cheese smash burger with fries and drinks. Overall, great first experience and would love to come back as it seems like they are constantly reinventing themselves with tasty morsels and brews. If you come, there is free parking in the back. If you love it here there is a $150 lifetime membership (not sure what that all entails but sounds special). Thanks 7 Monks, we will be back!

We like to go to happy hour for the smashburger and the chicken sandwhich, as they are both favs! The fries are extra but worth it. As soon as you walk in, there are games, chips for sale, and a water cooler with reusable cups. The place was busy. Many folks eating and drinking. There were two seats at the bar, both on either side of a young lady; so I asked if I could take one and she said yes! As it turned out, she was an off duty employee just having a beer. We chatted a bit while I ordered a flight. I love that the flight is not limited. You can have as many 2.5 ounce beers as you want! Each are priced separately. I perused the food menu and checked out the merch. Sadly they did not have the tshirt I liked in my size. They also sell beanies, glassware and hoodies. Oh, and beer to go! I enjoyed the two IPAs with Good Good being my fave, followed by IPA#1. The porter was good and so was the Kona brown. The fade was my least fave, and it pretty much tasted like Guinness, but I did drink it all. I have preferences but I also have values! Lol. The off duty employee and I chatted awhile, even looping in the bar tender and my other bar stool neighbor, especially when it came down to naming the artists on the decorative candles (see pic). We were having so much fun that we decided on her having another beer and me getting a couple more samples. The Mosacca IPA was really good. The Economy, gotta love the name, was also good and the most affordable beer! Look at them looking out for the people. Loved this place. The locals are friendly. Did not eat but all the food I saw looked good! Would return to enjoy more beer, fun convos and to buy a size small shirt!
