Yum! Super fresh food and it's officially summer cause I ate one of these - it was delicious food at a great little spot next door to Frostys (head there after for well a balanced meal). Lobster roll was "MP" which was 23$... sort of sad about the price... comes with slaw and chips. Don't quote me but I'm fairly certain that in this area - maybe leave FC - you can find a lobster roll that rivals this one and is cheaper, one star lost to cost. Very cute space, like the outdoor area, accessible. Parking is a bit of a challenge. If you can afford it, go ham BUT FYI we also shared a fried chicken sandwich which was significantly cheaper and also delicious - if you're pinching pennies, get the bird. read more

Someone on Facebook recently mentioned this place as having one of the best lobster rolls around, so we ventured over to check it out. The lobster rolls here are definitely among the best we've ever had, and the price (market) does reflect that. I will say, unlike some, this roll was overflowing with lobster meat. But don't stop there...the menu is full of mouth-watering options. The Copps Island Roll was filled to the top with freshly fried oysters. There are some landlubber choices as well for those who don't care for seafood. We intend revisit so we can try some more of their menu items. One other thing to note...Parking here is difficult...plan to visit outside of busy mealtimes. read more

When you consider the concentration of high quality seafood options in the area, Knot Norms is a standout operation. It is a nice location, very friendly staff, well managed, while I believe they also offer delivery on DoorDash and Uber Eats. The food was good but we sat outside for dinner and at the prices they ask you don't get much ambiance. For two people we spent $100 and stared at the dismal houses across the street on very uncomfortable metal bar stools. The prices they ask for fish tacos was outrageous and I got a bag of chips! So good! We stumbled on this place today based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. I grew up in New England and have eaten a lot of lobster rolls and this one just might be my favorite. It has great seasoning, was perfectly warm and just so delicious. The clam chowder was also excellent. Again, not exactly standard but so good! The staff was so kind and welcoming even to our kids (we were offered oyster crackers for our little ones immediately to try and keep them entertained). I'll definitely be back! read more

The reviews are right on the quality of the lobster rolls and pretty much all of the rolls. Excellent. Five stars. But Knot Norms gets really crowded and when it does, the service is pretty slow. And prices, with Lobster roll at $23, are pretty steep. Wish they gave fries with rolls instead of "from the bag" chips. read more

Great addition to Thames Street in Newport, RI! Hubby and I decided to try Knot Norm's for lunch today and this little gem did not disappoint. We ordered the lobster and fried oyster rolls. Our meals came with pickles, chips and slaw. The lobster meat and oysters tasted super fresh and were perfectly cooked. The restaurant itself is clean and nicely decorated. There are lots of thoughtful finishing touches once you start looking around. Kudos to whomever designed the space. The owner/chef Jay and his staff were super friendly and welcoming. We're locals and plan on putting this restaurant on our list of regular places to eat downtown :-). read more

We LOVE Knot Norm's! The location is perfectly tucked away, and while seating is limited inside, it is all worth it (get there early!). Not sure if these were special rotation, but the duck sauce wings...I could live off of them. Literally. We probably went back every day when we were home to get an order. My first time at Knot Norms- I had the Mahi-Mahi fish taco... it was outstanding! The fish was fresh and lightly breaded/fried, nice crunch from the cabbage and pepper slaw, balanced with the sweet pineapple... my favorite part that brought this dish together is the togarashi aioli.. provides just enough heat. Loved this dish! I recommend getting 2 when you order (unless you get something else). Atmosphere is great as well with a Nantucket/costal type feel and decor. The staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend this place and I'm looking forward to coming back... just found one of my new favorite places in Norwalk. read more

Quite possibly the best lobster roll I've ever eaten. From my seat at the bar I could see the guy shucking the lobsters in the kitchen. Fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious. We got a lobster roll, a brisket roll, clam chowder and fries. The fries were amazing. I'd go back just for the fries. All the food was very good, but lobster roll was sadly just sub par. It was $30 I believe and had me very underwhelmed. The lobster meat was a bit tough, but flavor was good. It was kind of annoying that the meat was placed on top of the bun, so it was soggy. Picking it up to take a bite, a lot of the meat fell out... thankfully on my plate! I'd prob try a different roll next time, don't think the lobster one is worth the $30. read more
