I most appreciate a good breakfast with strong flavor profiles - although who doesn't love a greasy mishmash of bacon, eggs and hashbrowns? I was very happy to see a menu with elevated choices and selected the egg white frittata with Kalamata olives, feta, spinach and tomatoes. Sides included grilled asparagus and a fruit cup. I should add the fruit cup is more accurately a fruit boat - easily three normal serving. It was absolutely delicious. I didn't try the asparagus and could only eat about half of the fruit, but enjoyed every bite of what I did eat. The frittata was especially nice with a dash of hot sauce.

We visited this spot on a sunny day, hoping for a great patio experience. The ambiance is top tier. The service is fine We ordered a Sam Adam's and The Bees Knees. The bees knees was meh. Def not worth $16. We might be back to try the food.

THIS IS SO GOOD!! I was really surprised. I thought it was just going to be a regular salad but it is SO TASTY and healthy. I LOVE IT!!! Great job on the salad and also love the ambiance and chill vibes

I stopped here after a work event because I'd missed lunch and was starving. The waitress told me the brisket nachos would be a lot of food and boy was she not kidding!! This kitchen & bar is located inside of a hotel, so parking is free and it's a great option if you're staying at the hotel or attending an event nearby. The nachos were delicious, but I'd highly recommend sharing them with several people! It wasn't too crowded, but I definitely felt like the waitress was focusing more on people sitting outside as it was nigh on impossible to track her down for the bill and to get a container. She was very friendly, but mentioned she'd only been there ~2 weeks. I'm not sure how they section off the area for different guests, but I do wish she had been more present as I spent quite a bit of time waiting. There was a singer who came by later in the afternoon/evening, so I'm sure that would be lovely to enjoy with dinner. As far as seating, it's a bar, several high tables/benches, booths, and individual tables...plus even more seating outside! Food was very reasonable priced and I'd absolutely come back, but I think next time I'll just sit at the bar.

    A nice sample food.

What a wonderful place! We came for a meet and greet that was hosted by Knotty Deck. The food was amazing with three areas with bbq, another with Mexican food and meats and cheese. We sat in the bar for a glass of wine before the event started and the bartender was fun! The outdoor area was really nice with plenty of seating. Def have to try this again.

Fish taco - right amount of everything. So good. Seasonal pasta with shrimps - feel like it's light even though it's creamy and heavy. So so good.

Great atmosphere and a fun staff. Decided on the Catch of the Day. It was Red Snapper with a Tex/Mex flair. I thought it was outstanding. I'd definitely order it again. Nice draft beer selection and plenty of spirits to choose from.

Love sitting out on the patio and inside. Nice and quiet, great food, and anyone can sit and eat. You do not have to be staying at the hotel. The service is great and everyone has been nice.

I was in the mood for a burger so using Yelp to find the best spot, I came to Knotty Deck & Bar. It's located inside of a hotel. The lobby was very clean and smelled divine. The restaurant has open seating so I sat near the bar. I could see outside to their deck with outdoor seating and lounging furniture. My server was extremely polite and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Knotty burger which also has smoked brisket. Y'all!! It was soooo good!! They even brand the bun with their name which I thought was a nice touch.

This is an average hotel restaurant and bar. I dined here once for dinner and once for breakfast while on a recent business trip. Service was quick and friendly. Staff and other hotel guests do not wear masks, but totally expected in Texas and did not bother me. I had the Knotty burger for dinner and it was not your regular ground beef burger. This burger was a brisket burger and surprisingly tender, juicy and flavorful. I wouldn't mind dining here again the next time I'm in town, but sadly don't plan to stay at the Renaissance Austin again.

Located off Anderson Mill in the corner of a strip mall is a bookshelf with a door on the right side. If you cannot figure out the entrance, there is a doorbell to ring as well. I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. For reasons that make no sense to any experienced summer festival-goer, the Q2 powers-that-be decided to make this a "no re-entry" event, meaning that attendees are basically locked in the stadium with very few options for relief from the heat. Thank heaven for PointsBet Sports Bar! PointsBet Austin is located inside of Q2 stadium on the north end near the Zebra Gate, up some stairs just to your right as you enter the gate. They have cold air-conditioning, at least one phone recharging station, a few table games, seating for at least 50 people, and standing room for a couple hundred others. Plus, there's a huge horseshoe bar serving plenty of canned and mixed beverages. The whole north wall is floor-to-ceiling windows, providing plenty of natural light. Lastly, there are 18 flatscreens around the walls showing various sporting events and during our concert, a couple were streaming a live view of the concert stage. As expected, prices were "high" (like everything else in Austin these days), but they were in line with pricing available at the other beverage stands outside in the stadium, so we didn't pay any more than we would have out there for the same drink. According to their website, PointsBet opens 3 hours before soccer matches on regular Q2 game days, and it's one of the few air-conditioned places where non-VIP attendees can get a break from the goings-on outside.

The patrons are all very welcoming as are the workers, it definitely gives you a warm feeling to be there. We ordered 3 mixed drinks, which were all solid and the total came out to $18. Can't beat that price up north. One of the biggest highlights was the live music in the back. They have live music consistently throughout the week so you can always catch a performance. It is very easy to pass time in this bar between the music, games, and just good company overall. We didn't have a neighborhood bar yet but this place might just be the answer to that (a lot of that has to do with how comfortable the patrons and workers make you feel).

There's no food offering, yet the environment feels designed for daytime dining rather than an evening bar experience. From a design and hospitality standpoint, it's difficult to understand how this made it to opening in its current state. Even a VERY basic understanding of lighting and ambiance would suggest this setup is fundamentally mismatched--ESPECIALLY for something like a date night. If you're looking for a comfortable or intimate setting, this is NOT it. You'd honestly have a better experience sitting outside a gas station with a 6-pack of Coors Light.
