My wife and I went to eat here last week and it was good. We have been one other time since new management took over. We decided this would be our pizza spot from now on. We think the pizza is good and decent priced. The only thing that happened was last week when we visited, we walked in and ordered our pizza and never had a server. 30 mins in and another party walks in and a server (owner) came out to wait on them. Everything was awesome. The place doesn't look like much but you should give it a try. The Lyla bites were amazing. I loved the Alfredo sauce with mine very garlicky. Second time they said they would be there in a few minutes. No show. our pizza was than delivered the next day at the hotel!!!! unacceptable. Ordered online for office lunch. Received a phone call that they had some "technical difficulties " and order would be delayed. Received another call from the restaurant telling me I needed to call their third party vendor they use to handle orders, to ask them to send a fax with the order or they couldn't process our order. I called Slice (vendor) and they said the fax machine at restaurant wouldn't work, and the restaurant refused to take the order over the phone, so the only thing they could do was cancel the order. What a joke. Why did I have to call THEIR vendor??? The restaurant said they didn't have a phone number for Slice. What?? You do business with them and don't have their phone number?? I ordered baked ziti with meatballs and it was extremely disappointing. The sauce on it was basically just chunky tomatoes and onions and the rest was just liquid. And none of it was sticking to the pasta at all. There was a very strange taste that I honestly could not put my finger on. Kind of sour? Possibly thr cheese. Wow! Can't believe the menu choice at this place! I ordered the all meat pizza and a pesto and basil pizza. I've also had their calzones. The pizzas have a great taste and are pretty standard sizes. Ordered delivery and even though we live less than a mile away, the bread was cold and hard. The pizza was overbaked and the bottom was hard. Tasted like a frozen pizza from the grocery store. We have tried this place three times and have yet to enjoy our meal. I ordered a pizza the week they opened and it was undercooked and extremely bland, and I instantly regretted not going elsewhere. I decided once they'd had time to work out the new restaurant kinks to try again. I got a cheesesteak that was short on cheese, came with peppers when I requested for them to leave them off, the sandwich bread was tasteless and chewy, verging on stale, and the meat was crispy from being burned on the griddle. Today I ordered some pasta hoping that would be okay. Nope. The baked spaghetti (which was listed a customer favorite) was watery and bland and the sauce was weirdly sweet. The chicken Alfredo was sticky and thick and had a bad flavor--obviously from a jar or can--and honestly the Prego bottled Alfredo my husband refuses to eat tastes less artificial. I cannot image the people who work here care two licks about the food. $25 spent for a delivered lunch for food that was picked at (rejected by the kid as well) and then 80% of the food was scraped into the garbage can. With the dearth of Italian food in Oak Ridge, I was hoping that this would be at least similar to the passable Cisco food truck type stuff from the now closed Gondolier, but it's not even that level. I should have learned my lesson the first time, but three strikes and you are out. read more
