My husband and I love coming to Ko-Ryu! This place has really delicious ramen and gyozas. I also love their Sapporo and sake pairs well with the ramen. I love getting the Spicy Miso level 4 Ramen and my husband gets the fried chicken curry ramen. The customer service is great. The Mister is a lunch hour regular here for the Ramen. He brought me here on his day off for Mongolian BBQ. If I can give you some advice grab that wax paper and push your food down. Pile it up and push it down again and repeat. Go to the round table with your mountain of meat covered in the wax paper so you can have as big of a bowl possibly. The more you can fit in the bowl the better. There are 2 sides here. The Ramen side and the Mongolian BBQ side. There are a variety of meats, veggies and sauces to create your own bowl. Make sure to add a lot of sauce. The bowls come with a bowl of rice and an egg roll. Drinks are refillable. Service is friendly. The serving staff are not very serious and like to laugh. I came here with my coworkers for lunch. We all had ramen. I ordered the Ko Ryu spicy with level 4 spicy. While that had a kick, I wash I had gone level 5 for the ultimate spice. Overall the broth is pretty decent however, the servings were a little small for me. They needed to add more meats and noodles. The service was great. My friend and I decided to visit the restaurant. When we walked in, it was around 12:30 so it wasn't too busy. We decided to order to go and the food did not take long! When you get it to go, you will get the soup in a plastic bowl and the noodles with your toppings in a box. Terrible service. After one lady told us to seat ourselves, no one paid attention to us. After a long while, another lady asked us what we wanted to eat. I said we haven't even gotten menus. So it turns out there are two of these spots in Torrance not even knowing that the one at Torrance Crossroads was in relation to this one! This one is clearly larger and has a lot of tables to sit at. When i walked in, I noticed that there were a lot of people ordering out. It was a clear indication of how good the ramen was here. I chose to run with customized ramen with miso. I added extra noodles, bacon bits, and deep fried garlic. It came with a piece of tender Chashu pork, green onions, and bamboo shoots. It was a really good impression on how delicious the ramen was and will definitely have it again. Surprisingly, I was still hungry and could have probably put down maybe half of another one. For it being so cold on this night, hot ramen was perfect to have. We ordered handmade Gyoza but our waitress Valerie who attempted to memorize our order (and came back to double check) forgot to put in that one which disappointed me overall. Hopefully, next time ill be able to try those and kick up the spice just a bit to see if this will be my local spot for amazing ramen. We came here to try the spicy miso veggie ramen with kale noodles. This is their vegan option. Overall we thought it was pretty good. Could have been a little spicier but the broth was pretty good. The service is friendly and parking can be easy, but it shares the same space with a lot of other businesses, so at times it could be more difficult, but not impossible to find parking. If you come at off-hours, it's quite easy to find parking 'tho. I'd recommend this place, not sure if it's a destination dining must-go-to type place per-se, but definitely if others wanted to to here, I'd never object. read more

He got #17 I forget the name but his was light and good too. I ended up adding toppings because mine didn't come with an egg and I cannot have ramen without and egg. They have a deal of 1 topping for 1$ or 3 toppings for 2$...I mean it's a no brainer. So I ended up getting the egg corn and tofu. I honestly thought my bowl had a bigger serving than my boyfriends, but it could also be the shape of the bowls? Either way I couldn't finish my bowl so my boyfriend polished it up! We also got the fried squid and it was okay. I've had better at other izakaya restaurants. It wasn't bad though. It came with thick pieces of squid which was nice. I feel bad that I haven't written a review for this gem of a restaurant yet ... I've been a regular for years. First, let me start by saying the regular staff are wonderful. I've always felt like they care very much about every aspect of my experience there even though I've probably eaten there 100 times by now. I always order spicy miso ramen, level 10-15(!) ... I love the habanero flavor of their spicy recipe. Super, super delicious broth and perfect, firm noodles every time. The flavored eggs and wonton toppings are equally delicious. Everything always fresh. The chachu pork is the o ly thing that isn't my personal favorite in terms of the cut and tenderness, but I still enjoy it... This place has a unique flavor and wonderful staff that I look forward to at least a couple times a month ... I only wish they stayed open later during the week, as I usually work past their closing time. I'm sure if someone on staff there sees this review and my name, they'll know who this is ... and I have my picture on the wall there under "legends" who survived "level 20." Love you guys at Ko-Ryu! Came here for lunch and was bummed that they weren't open at 11am. They open at 11:30am. Anyways, this is my absolute favorite ramen place!!!! I always get to Ko Ryu Ramen (their signature ramen) with a spicy level of 3. I believe the spice level goes up to 5 and most of the time, they are pretty accurate with the right spice level. The ramen comes with 1 egg, noodles, broth, pork and some other things I don't know what their called. I wish the pork was in smaller pieces because it's hard to eat since it's so big. The service was super fast (almost concerning) but the food was delicious. It was a quick lunch. The entire lunch took almost 30 mins which is awesome. I will always keep coming back here but will never order food from here on a food app because I always end up with someone else's order. The parking is free, there is so much seating inside and there is a restroom. The restaurant is very clean throughout and the staff are friendly and hardworking. read more

After a long trip out of the country, I was craving some Asian comfort food. Nothing sends a warmer welcome more than a big bowl of ramen. Parking: Plenty of parking available. The ramen joint is located in a strip mall and shares it's parking with the plaza. Service: Our waiter was super friendly and nice. She took the time to answer any questions I had while ordering. Our party took a while to decide, but she was very patient. Upon ordering, I wanted a shoyu based broth, but I also wanted the spicy miso for the kick. She explained that I can get spicy shoyu. I quickly opted for that as soon as she informed me. They went and checked up on us regularly and refilled our waters often. Food: The garlic bomb tonkotsu seems to be their most popular item so that was an easy choice. As I mentioned earlier, I opted for the medium spicy shoyu as my base. Oh em gee, the broth was packed with umami and so darn flavorful. There were a lot of strong flavors working together, but it worked really well. My mouth is water as I recall consuming this bowl. The noodles were textured and crinkly; fantastic for grabbing up the flavorful broth. The green onion shoots added a nice texture change to the bowl. We also ordered chicken karaage. It was good, but nothing special. I would order it again if a friend wanted to share it. Verdict: I'd definitely come back if I was craving garlic umami. read more
