The meat was very tender and the server was very attentive to our table, taking time to describe where the food was sourced as well as provide a bit of theatrics by flambeing our first set of beef with a bit of alcohol. So happy to see an AYCE KBBQ place open up so much closer than Elliott city. AYCE is offered during dinner and all day on the weekends and was a fantastic experience. Great selection of meats on the basic menu with super tender brisket and probably some of the best pork belly I've had at a KBBQ place. The marinades on their meat are on the lighter side which may or may not appeal to everyone (the bulgogi was less sweet and was meatier than usual which I enjoyed, however the spicy pork belly was a bit bland). I was also not the biggest fan of the pork butt which was a bit too fatty and peppery. Unlike most other AYCE KBBQ places, the servers at KOBA cook the meat for you, and do most of the flipping and cutting for you at the table. I felt that it detracted a bit from the experience but I'm sure it makes it more approachable to those new to Korean barbecue. I've only done take out during COVID and hope to go in person, but can only share by take out experience. First off, do yourself a favor and get the spicy Korean fried chicken. Or if you're a true connoisseur like me, get both the garlic and spicy and see which one you like best. Either way, it's not likely you'll be disappointed. We always get the kimchi pancakes. Tofu is not always good to me, but in stew, it was sooooo good! Ordering a stew was not necessarily normal for me, but I'm glad I did. The service was okay. Not sure how this place is so well rated. 3 of us dined on Tuesday night. One waitress for the entire dining room which requires her to deliver and cook for multiple tables. 2 of us wanted all you can eat and the other was told they had to also get all you can and could not order an entree off of the menu as a personal choice. Our first meat entree was " brisket" which was mostly fat. To me this meat was inedible. It took a long time between meat deliveries and the meat was fatty and unimpressive. Our waitress came back to our table and asked what we wanted but we were denied our meat preference and told our time was up for the all you can eat.. She showed us the time limit as printed on the menu. So we were cut off and then sat and waited for her to bring the check. We spent 168$ and the meat was so low quality. I've been waiting for this place to open as soon as the signs went up. I was not disappointed last night. The food was really good quality with beef brisket and pork belly unlike Iron Age but at the same price. It's also All You Can Eat for dinner compared to Honeypig where you're paying for each meat. The environment was very nice with kpop playing and cozy seating and was much quieter than Iron Age! The service was awesome. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They're currently working on building a bar for cocktails (!!!) and already have karaoke which I will be all over on my next visit. Best part: great location for people living in Baltimore City/County! Belvedere Square is a great location and easily accessible by bus unlike Bonchon, Honeypig, or Iron Age which are all the way out in Ellicott City. We sat down and were served right away and our server was super friendly. The prices are really good and we got all you can eat meat and side dishes. There were karaoke rooms on the lower level that are secluded so only the people in your room can hear you sing. The staff let us try out one song and the music quality was great. This is mine and my boyfriend's favorite KBBQ spot. The staff is super friendly, we really love Sam, one of the head servers. He is so accommodating to us every time we visit! The entire staff is so nice to us, Lisa the hostess and Terry, one of the new servers! We have been once almost every week since July, when we found out they were here and it's almost like our second home. Not only is the restaurant clean and the staff friendly, but the food is AMAZING!!!!! The classic set is sooo good and it's such a good price for the amount of food you get. Our favorite cut is the brisket (ask for jalapeños and garlic with it) I have never had a bad experience here. This is the best K BBQ place I've eaten in a long time. The staff is so friendly and the food is AMAZING! My friends and I have been at least 7 times just within the month of July, it's THAT good. I have been recommending this place to my friends since the first time I went and it's so nice to have it closer to the county than actually having to drive into the city or all the way to Ellicott City for good K BBQ.
