    Sushi menu part 1

I love this place. The food and service are always excellent. The sushi is my favorite. So many rolls to choose from, and I am never disappointed.

For our meal including a tip was $70 they gave me the wrong vegetables there wasn't any zucchini or onions like usual, they forgot my husbands rice, and they told us we couldn't see them do it on the grill because they only do it on certain days. We came here for our anniversary and I was really disappointed. For that much I expect good service atleast. I will definitely travel the extra 25 minutes to Staffords Kobe it's so much better. My husband atleast really liked his sushi.

My mom and I are huge fans of hibachi-style dining and Japanese food so after shopping we decided to stop here for lunch. The restaurant is decently sized, clean, and in a great location with a parking lot. It was relatively empty when we arrive since they just opened forum here. The lunch menu was pretty pricey for lunch and around $17 for entree. In most of the hibachi-style restaurants, we usually get soup and salad, veggies, rice, and your choice of meat (s). However, we only received salad (which was basically frozen and took forever to get), carrots/mushrooms, and rice. I'm not sure if this was because it was lunch time but for $17 - i would have enjoyed more veggies. Food was cooked well. Our server was new and nice. The chef wasn't too engaging as others. Maybe I'll the dinner menu if I return.

Tried to order three different beers, and every one of them was "not available today," which is restaurant talk for "the truck's late and so are we." Artie the bartender just gave this little shoulder shrug that said, "Partner, I don't make the rules, I just open the bottles." The place itself helped the afternoon along. The building is laid out so you can see just about everything from your stool: bar, tables, who's coming in the door, and whether your food is on its way. Sightlines were wide open, nothing cluttered or cramped, and the whole joint looked super clean, like somebody actually cares what it looks like before the crowd shows up. So we did what any sensible, thirsty people would do: picked two other beers, ordered some apps, and decided not to take life--or the tap list--too seriously. The beer we got was cold, the food was hot, and Artie turned out to be the kind of bartender you come back to see more than you come back for the menu. We'll be back, too. Lewis would've gotten a whole column out of that shrug. The food was excellent, too. The fish bites alone just about made the afternoon; if the beer list had completely fallen apart, we still would've called it a win on those.

Since learning that, we have made our own oyster tradition and seek to have them in January because it can't hurt! I saw that Port Oysteria was participating in FXBG restaurant week which is happening now and thought it was a great opportunity for us to try someplace new and get our oysters. While we did not order anything from the restaurant week specials (there was only one at lunch, and a couple more after 3pm) my wife and I did enjoy a nice lunch today. The chargrilled oysters were just right for us to share as a starter and very tasty. My wife had the fried oyster po-boy and I had the blackened grouper sandwich; both were delicious. The coleslaw was good as was the Parmesan mashed potatoes. There is a good beer selection on tap and an interesting cocktail list. Our first beer choice was out, but our backup choices were good. Service was good but the restaurant was not very busy. The atmosphere is interesting with moody, dark painted walls and bold murals and a mix of '90s grunge and alt-pop music in the background. We definitely want to go back for dinner sometime and try more of the menu.

They did a phenomenal job creating such a magical atmosphere--I honestly wish they could keep the decorations up all year . While waiting for our table, we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered cocktails. I had the prickly pear margarita, and she ordered a cider sour. Both were fantastic, though I wish the bar had mentioned the holiday cocktail menu earlier. I didn't learn about the festive drinks until we were seated and our server, Lindsay, walked us through the winter specials. The "Sweater Weather" cocktail sounded amazing (white tequila and coconut milk ) and is definitely something I'll be back to try. We stuck with our go-to appetizer, the goat cheese bruschetta, which was delicious as always. For entrées, we went classic brunch: the hangover burger and the shrimp and grits. My girlfriend loved her burger, and Sedona's shrimp and grits remain one of my absolute favorites--perfectly seasoned and cooked. Even though we were full, we couldn't pass up the seasonal dessert, tiramisu. It was the perfect size--just enough to share without pushing us over the edge. Lol. Another successful meal at Sedona! The service is consistently top-notch, and our server Lindsay was hands down the best--knowledgeable, attentive, and with an amazing personality. We loved her so much, we wished she could've joined us for brunch. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us, which we really appreciated. If you haven't experienced Sedona yet, you are seriously missing out. And definitely ask to sit in Lindsay's section!

First, let's start off with the wait. I'm used to waiting for a table at Sedona especially on a Saturday, but today the wait was extra long. Once we sat and ordered appetizers it took over 40 minutes to get our apps. To make matters worse our nachos came out with the cheese not even melted and with barely any protein. Seeing as this was not the first time I ordered nachos I was extremely upset. To address the issue I had to leave my outside table and walk inside to the hostess to see if they could locate my server as she never came and checked on us. We didn't see her for over 50 minutes :-/ The only star of today's lunch were the Thai glazed wings. My husband ordered the land and sea and steak was overcooked. My devils pass pasta was okay, but extremely greasy. The manager did stop by to offer something for the nacho issue which we appreciated. Sedona you need to work on hiring more staff to make things run smoothly. You seem to be understaffed in the kitchen and on the floor. We left feeling extremely disappointed and will not be returning for a long time. Also forgot to add that the strawberry tres leches cake is extremely dense and flavorless. Did not enjoy and do not recommend.

Our initial welcome was uninviting, with both the hostess and what appeared to be the manager were less than friendly. There was clear confusion about seating despite the restaurant being fairly empty. We were first placed near the restroom, then moved to a table directly in front of the entrance where it was cold, even though better tables were available. Service Fortunately, our server, Marianne (who was also bartending that evening), was excellent, friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. She helped improve an otherwise disappointing start to the evening. She saved this from being a completely negative review. Food The food did not meet expectations. The Imperial Dip was overcooked and stuck to the bowl, the mahi mahi was overcooked and small in portion, and while my steak and lobster were cooked properly, the dish lacked flavor and I relied on salt and pepper for flavor. However, the warm butter heater for the lobster was a nice touch. The fish and chips and macaroni and cheese for our kids were also just ok. Value With a nearly $180 bill (including a few drinks), the overall experience felt disappointing for the price. Final Thoughts I might consider returning, but only with hopes for a much friendlier welcome, the same great server and service, and sticking to safer menu options. For the price point, there may be better dining options available downtown.

We were seated in a comfortable booth right away, but waited several minutes before our server arrived. That aside, the rest of our experience was great. We had the Bang Bang shrimp appetizer, which was on special that Wednesday and each had side salads. Both the Caesar and House side salads were of good proportion, fresh, and tasty. A hot loaf of fresh bread, along with the pesto, was an excellent accompaniment. The shrimp appetizer was plenty for two people. It was cooked to perfection, supplemented with a delicious bang bang sauce, with just the right amount of spice. Overall, an excellent evening meal, satisfying our appetite, even without a main. The ambiance was nice and quiet, too.

As prices go it was a great deal at $10 - given the substantial amount of food I still had one piece of fish plus a bunch of fries left, enough for a bonus lunch tomorrow.
