Point deduction as follows: -1: "baked" does not necessarily mean it is. Possibly the top of fish is seared but that's it. Ordered the Fuji that comes with baked salmon on top. We received a lightly seared salmon doused in sauce to cover up the fact that the baked fish was not baked at all. -1: quality is decent, but not worth the price. Miso was broth will very little tiny pieces of tofu. Sushi overly sauced. -1: overall customer service and rating. For an out of towner, first impression was decent, but the quality was minimal. As far as ordering, we ordered over the phone: to-go late at night. Pretty quick turn around rate, about 10-15 minutes. Very friendly staff. I've only ordered takeout from here a couple times after craving a quick fix for sushi rolls. Living in the neighboring apartment, it's a much-cheaper alternative to the restaurant Minamoto (VERY spendy but really high quality sushi). The sushi itself isn't that good but it's not inedible. Sushi rice in particular has always been over-cooked and under-seasoned. I also tried ordering a few rolls off their menu online but the lady on the phone didn't seem to know what I was talking about... had to go through 4 or 5 backup choices until I decided to just order something more standard. I honestly would not recommend getting sushi here with all the other spots in Bellevue but due to convenience, it's likely I'll be back at some point. read more

Uber eats delivery review One of the worst soft tofu soups I have ever tasted. I know that it is not the best thing to order from a non- Korean place but if you're offering something, make it taste good!!! The potstickers were not a good choice to order either as they were soggy. But I have to give them credit for trying as they made a hole in the box to let the steam escape. This was an ok place for Korean food. I would come back here to try other food. We got the bi bim bap hot pot, bulgogi hot plate and the duboki. The duboki could be better in terms of the sauce, it could have been thicker. The favorite was the bibimbap. It was in a clay pot so it was still sizzling when it came out and it made the rice crunchy and crispy. The bulgogi was just standard. The portion was generous though for the price. Service was ok as well, the only thing that was bad was the lady kept coming by waiting for us to pay even though we weren't finish with our food. read more

This has been our favorite go to restaurant lately. I've tried almost everything on their menu and nothing has disappointed me. I love that I can get a Korean tofu soup, Japanese sushi, chicken teriyaki, all in one Asian fusion restaurant. Their service has really picked it up too. Everyone here is so sweet and helpful. Adjusting their rating to 3-stars because they are consistent and reliable. Not the best, but still sticking to my conclusion of being decent for Bellevue. We both ordered the lunch box: one with crispy panko-breaded katsu chicken while the other was pork. The cuts of meat they use are relatively leaner, but they're still moist. The breading on the tempura shrimp was a little thick, but the onion was really crispy. Service was quite attentive -- they kept our hot tea filled and checked in on us several times. Today, we were seated at a small table, and the owner expressed his apologies about it.. Perhaps that is why they gave us this cute orange creation to enjoy (see photo.) By the time we finished, the place was packed -- so go early and beat the lunch crowd if you don't want to wait. read more

It's been over a year since I tried this place and to my utter amazement, it's not only more expensive but just as bad if not worse. Disgustingly so. I got the sushi bento box with spicy tuna. The tempura includes three pot stickers, one piece of over fried shrimp (used to be two), and a hash brown patty cut in half (think McDonald's breakfast). The spicy tuna roll is $2 extra and tastes awful with a weird chemical after taste. The sushi itself was small and also tasted off. A combination of bland and odd but all bad. The salad is sad iceberg lettuce with an okay dressing and super average miso soup. The entire dog's breakfast of a meal came to just under $20. I...am....so...dumb. I keep saying never again. I am now officially a fan of this establishment. It's in a good location, and there's a private parking lot--so there's no need to drive in circles looking for parking. My initial impression of this place is that it's nicely decorated and the place is slightly dimly lighted--in other words, I really liked the ambiance. I didn't know what to expect from the food. Japanese, Thai, AND Korean? Sometimes I'm a bit wary of restaurants that combine many styles of cuisine, though I've never had a terrible experience from such places. We came here with a big group--we had a total of 9 in our party, and a friend made a reservation beforehand just in case. Boyfriend and I decided to order 3 special sushi rolls: mystery roll (chef's choice of fish and seared salmon on top), KOBE roll (shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, spicy scallop, crab--NOM NOM NOM), and the tuna heaven roll (shrimp tempura and spicy tuna--my FAVE, because I just love spicy tuna and it had big globs of it on top of the roll--mmmm). The presentation of the rolls were wonderful, and I was surprised at how big the rolls were. They tasted delicious! Friends ordered tonkotsu ramen, udon, curry katsu, and one friend ordered a galbi (beef short rib) bento box, and she kept raving about it. And the katsu entree was surprisingly HUGE! Boyfriend and I didn't order it because we thought it would be small, but boy, were we wrong! We're definitely ordering that next time, and the tonkotsu ramen as well. The presentations of all the entrees were beautiful and we could tell that they were all impeccably prepared. The next time we're coming here, a couple of our friends might do the ramen challenge, which is 3 times the amount of the regular portion of ramen. If you finish everything in 30 minutes, you win a $100 gift card and if you don't, you pay $20 for the ramen. Our waitress showed us the bowl, and it's HUGE! By the way, our waitress was super friendly and funny! Definitely a pleasure to be served by her. Oh, and even if you don't win the challenge, you still get your picture on the wall of SHAME! Popped in for some sushi while solo and staying for business in the Courtyard Marriott next door. I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed the banter of the chefs while I read my book and waited for my meal. I ordered the avocado bomb starter which was the star of my dining experience. Delicious large portions of avocado in a light tempura style. So good! For my main dish I ordered the Kobe roll which was also a very large portion per cut. The meal was served with miso soup. My favorite sushi place was closing soon and I ran into this small little restaurant. They have a good menu with a wide variety of sushi and bentos. They also have two Thai dishes (pad Thai, and curry). The prices are ok and the portions match the price :) I ordered the curry chicken and the unagi rolls! The only thing I didn't like about the rolls was that it fell apart and I couldn't pick them up well. Other than that, the food was good and they also have this cool ramen/noodle contest! read more

We were having a work event in the Courtyard Marriott, the group pre-determine they wanted Asian cuisine and Kobe was nicely situated right next the the hotel. The menu is quite large so the group had trouble deciding. We finally made selections of 1-3 items each. Danika (sp?) was our server and she helped us make selections and validate our choices. She was also prompt at refilling drinks and overall very pleasant. The restaurant was pretty busy on a Saturday night but our food came out so fast. Everyone had miso soup and salad to start and everyone was raving about how delicious both tasted. Our entrees were also quick to arrive at the table. The baked sushi roll took a little longer because it was a baked item but that was still delivered promptly. I ordered the Bulgogi Hot Pot and the spicy scallops roll. Both were so delicious and satisfying. The broth in the hot pot was divine and there was a ton of meat in that bowl and it stayed hot through the end because of how it is served. I mean, it is called hot pot for a reason. Others ordered Yakisoba, chicken teriyaki, Bento Boxes with dumplings, Midnight Roll, vegetarian ramen and edamame. Everyone was still raving. We were strategizing how we might fit in one more meal at Kobe before we all head home. If you like Asian food and you're in Bellevue you should definitely eat here. read more

This restaurant is seriously considerate of its customers. I recommend them because they fixed an issue I had immediately. We ordered through Grubhub, and when we got our food a whole bag was missing. The driver claimed he was only given one bag and that he didn't know anything about a second one. The restaurant assured us they gave him two bags but offered to deliver the missing items to us anyways vs going through the trouble of getting a refund from Grubhub. We received it within 30mins and we are very appreciative to the manager or owner (whoever it was) that did this. All in all, the food was fantastic, the employees and management amazing, and well I think they're worth trying out :) Edit: Oh right we ordered the bibimbap, teriyaki and gen. tsos combo, and bento box. We ordered here for the first time tonight for takeout and we're dying to dine in. The food was absolutely delicious! We were absolutely blown away. The tempura rolls are fantastic. Finding street parking could have been quite the adventure here, yet I got lucky and found a spot. Only afterward did I see you could park at the nearby Marriott parking garage. Oops. The inside just screams "awesome Japanese vibe" to me. Awesome sushi bar, lots of seats, fresh food, etc. I basically wanted the spiciest sushi this place could give me. Irene, my server, was very helpful to narrow my choices down. I got the Kobe Volcano roll ($10.95). Jalapenos go inside a spicy California roll, topped with baked spicy salmon and a special sauce. It's a baked roll, so it may be a bit on the warm side when eating it. I savored each fresh, high-quality ingredient, from the rice to the special sauce. Perfect rice. The baked spicy salmon wanted to melt in my mouth. Damn, maybe I should just stay at the Marriott next time I'm in Bellevue. Kobe is literally a couple doors away from the hotel. Assuming I ever get a fat wallet, I could just sit here and eat sushi all day long. Before that, I enjoyed a small bowl of miso soup and a salad. Very refreshing and delicious! While I noshed on my food, professional eater Randy Santel took down Kobe's ramen challenge, a 3-liter bowl of noodles, various traditional ramen veggies, and broth (he went with the tonkatsu broth). Finish it in 30 minutes and you'll get the $20 meal free, your picture on the wall (and their business Facebook page), and a $100 gift certificate. No problem for Randy; he finished it in less than 17 minutes, shattering the previous record. That's including the broth. Incredible. Randy never had ramen before, yet raved how excellent the food was. He's also a very nice guy, and it would be cool to meet up with him again in the future! The best part was seeing the owner in public, greeting and thanking all his customers. That's an added touch that you won't see at every brick-and-mortar restaurant. This place is quite a find. Maybe I'll have some ramen the next time I come here. But I'll probably spare my stomach and pass on attempting three liters' worth of it. I've only had one menu item out of the dozens offered. They brought out the orders for two of us right away (which seemed WAY to fast unless it was already prepared) but then didn't bring the third entree for a good 15 minutes. We didn't get to eat together and some items in the third entree were cold and soggy. The waitress tried to blame the process to prepare the food, which has nothing to do with properly staging items based on prep time. I don't know if I will ever dine in again and if I do will have to explain to them how to properly serve customers. Left no tip, as it wasn't deserved.
