    Hot Pot Bibimbop
    Ariel L.

If I could give Kobe more than 5 stars, I would. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The White Dragon Roll was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The Hot Pot Bibimbop arrived sizzling with perfectly balanced spices. The Teriyaki Chicken with Yakisoba was pure comfort food, and the Chicken and Dumplings were rich and satisfying. For dessert we shared the chocolate ice cream, which turned out to be Oreo cookie ice cream--a great surprise and an even better value. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and it is clear the staff works as a team. The ambience is calming and makes it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. This will definitely be our regular spot for date nights and whenever we are craving something amazing.

Full Yelp disclosure, I ordered my food on DoorDash. So I can't comment on the actual restaurant. But I can about the food. So yummy! The bento box with beef bulgogi was perfection. Delicious. A side of rice, a wonton, egg roll, and CA rolls. Fresh ginger and wasabi. Freshly made CA rolls were so good! Yummy beef too. Tender and flavorful. A perfect chicken won ton with a clean dipping sauce. The side salad had a nice sesame dressing. The veggie tempura still warm and fresh. A huge side of warm edamame was the perfect accompaniment. My food was packaged so neatly and obviously with care. I definitely want to eat more of it! Next time go to the restaurant. And try the hot pot. SYOY!

    Bento Lunch Box

Looking for a quick bite during a meeting in Bellevue, I stopped into Kobe and found myself staring down a huge bento box filled with fresh sushi, a spicy tuna roll, some shrimp tempura and fried dumplings/egg rolls, a tiny shredded cabbage and seaweed salad, and a small bowl of miso soup. Exactly what I needed - delicious and filling, it hit the spot. The restaurant's atmosphere is more of a pub-type bar than a restaurant, but the food was good and the server was on top of it - this place is clearly used to a busy lunch crowd. I washed the bento down with a generous iced tea (they offered a refill to go!) and the price was right. If you're looking for good, quick eats at a reasonable price, give Kobe a try!

Clean, cozy and fast. This place is the "go to" spot for lunch breaks for my staff. Thought I'd give it a try on a weekend. Pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too busy. The staff are attentive and the food options are well planned. Multiple bento-box combinations (Mom and I should've shared). The portions are hearty and you leave filling stuffed and satisfied.

Went to Kobe on Tuesday evening for a quick dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the experience was from start to finish. The parking setup deserves a notice as it is clearly marked by the entrance, it is free, and is shared with a nearby hotel, which adds a layer of safety and convenience. The bibimbap was served sizzling hot and satisfying, but the surprise highlight was their house salad dressing. I noticed that they even sell it on the side, so you know it's a hit. I also noticed a smart layout feature. There is a hand-washing sink available outside the restroom, which is great for guests who want to freshen up without the hassle. I don't typically go for sweets, but had Asian-style ice cream and a decent alcohol selection. I chose to sit at the sushi bar since I was alone, and the atmosphere there was chill and comfortable. Prawn tempura

I met a friend for dinner at Kobe recently and this was her pick. I got Prawn tempura and Spicy rainbow roll. I loved both the prawn tempura and the sushi roll. They have so many options and it was tough to pick what I wanted to have on my first visit. Will definitely be back to try other items.

    Grilled shisamo fish. Totally scrumptious.

Take this with a grain of salt, or a teaspoon of gochujang, as the case may be because we popped in after a long morning of flying and dealing with SEA-TAC car rentals. Because SEA-TAC wa such a debacle of an experience, we ate at Kobe between lunch and dinner, and wasn't up for a full meal. We did have two LARGE Sapporo beers for medicinal purposes and one order of the ddokboki (rice cakes), and the grilled shisamo fish. The fish were DELECTABLE. As long as you are a gourmand enough to enjoy little fish whole, you're going to love this. Wee seafood pockets bursting with roe and flavor, they were delightful. The ddokboki was really good too, clearly made with an anchovy broth adding to the deeper flavor vs made with a lesser liquid. While not as good as what you'd get in Namdaemun market on Seoul (a tall order), it harkened to that direction well enough. Service was very friendly, and it was a good jolt of tastiness and medical relief by way of fermented grains and hops.

    Katsu chicken curry 3.5/5
    Noah B.

*Katsu chicken curry 3.5 *Sweet and sour chicken 4/5 *House sake 3/5 -chicken curry was a good size portion and not a disappointment. The curry itself was so so and nothing that stands out for the chicken was fried nice, and went well with the curry. -chicken didn't have very good presentation but as soon as I started eating, it was really good. Would definitely do again. -house sake was cheap and a good portion for the price but didn't taste great. I know it was the cheapest option but I don't think I would do again.

    Nagasaki Ramen or Udon
    Keti L.

SERVICE: 4/5 The service was great! Our waitress was patient taking our large order and the food came out quickly afterward. The only issue was that they forgot one of our orders, but it worked out fine since we were all too full. Overall, we were satisfied with the service, but there was nothing outstanding that stood out. FOOD: 4.5/5 There is a great selection of both Japanese and Korean food. I got the Salmon Love Roll and Nagasaki Udon. The Salmon Love Roll had a mild spice and I liked how soft the salmon was. The Nagasaki Udon had a light, but delicious broth flavor and the udon noodles added a chewy and supple texture. They also gave a generous amount of seafood that it is worth trying for the price. I would highly recommend the udon during the rainy day or if you are craving some comfort food. *NOTE: Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.

Great spot to go when you visit bellevue or when you are craving for Korean food or Japanese food. The staff was really friendly and the food was always good. I've been going to this place more than 10 times now.

Stopped in for a late dinner, the staff was very friendly and helpful, we ordered way more than we could eat, mostly because the portions are very generous! We had a few appetizers (didn't get photos of the soft shell crab, or the Rangoon) a couple main dishes along with some great beer! This place was quiet, probably because it was later in the evening, it's a small restaurant, very comfortable. You can watch them make the sushi to order if you sit at the counter. Definitely recommend this place!

It was my first time visiting Kobe and I loved it! We ordered more than 5 dishes and every single dish was delicious. Especially I liked the ramen. The quality and service was fast and great and I would definitely come back for more foods.

This is the best restaurant in Bellevue, offering a wonderful atmosphere perfect for a date night or a meal with friends and family. They serve a variety of dishes, including Japanese and Korean cuisine, and the taste is amazing. The servers are also incredibly friendly. I visit every time I'm in Bellevue. They even have a ramen bowl challenge where you can win $100 gift certificate if you finish it within the time limit. This is always my go-to spot!

These folks probably need another great review like Elon Musk needs an increase in his allowance,…read morebut fairness demands that I not keep silent regarding my enjoyment of this restaurant: THE ROSES: Ample dedicated parking. The staff is gracious, prompt, professional, and - I hope no one objects when I say this - rather attractive. Generous portions and reasonable prices for what you're getting. The food is nothing sort of legendary - bold flavors and dishes have the perfect balance of sweet, heat, savory, and umami. THE THORNS: None significant enough to mention. NEITHER ROSE NOR THORN: It is important to note that this place is insanely popular with the area's Korean community. The restaurant is quite busy Thursday thru Sunday, and significant waits for a table are likely. Monday thru Wednesday is your best time for going and getting a table without a wait. The price of some dishes, like their signature offering, Kalbijjim, might give you a pause ($80+). It is important to keep in mind this is made to order, and one serving can easily serve four regular appetites. If you're just a couple, you're definitely going to be taking this home with you. This is not a bad thing, as Kalbijjim is one of those dishes that is even better the next day and doesn't suffer from reheating. THE VERDICT: Daeho Kalbijjim is extremely popular, and it's not hard to see why. The execute authentic Korean cuisine pretty much flawlessly with efficient and charming service. What else to you want in a restaurant? Highly recommend. Just try not to go on the busy days.

I wanted to give this place a second chance because I know a lot of people really enjoy it, but…read moreunfortunately my experiences were underwhelming. As i always say go try it for yourself. The first time I visited, the quality of the meat cuts didn't impress me, and the soups lacked depth of flavor. I'm not talking about needing more salt--the broth itself just tasted flat. When you're paying close to $30 for a bowl of soup, I think it's reasonable to expect a higher level of quality and care to ingredients. The second visit was a mixed experience. To be fair, I was in the wrong. There is a clearly posted policy stating that your entire party must be present before being seated. My group was about seven minutes away, and since I had already checked in on Yelp and there were only two parties ahead of me with no one physically waiting, I asked if I could be seated and order while I waited. I had already been standing inside for about 10 minutes. I was told that although tables were available, seating me ahead of the other parties on the waitlist would be unfair. I understood the reasoning, but she had also asked prior for my order. Her explanation left me confused so i sheepishly said I understood the policy. She already seemed upset by the time i had gotten there. Sometimes we have off days i get that. This place is clearly hit or miss, I've got friends who absolutely swear by it. For me, though, it wasn't anything special and didn't justify the price. If you're looking for Korean food in the area, I've had better experiences with higher-quality dishes elsewhere, especially in Lynnwood.

He was so attentive and when we mentioned how fresh the side dishes were, and that our son loves the spicy odang side dish, he not only brought more, but as we finished up, he packed a little to go for our son when we didn't even ask (so nice!). He was the best server that we have ever had at Stone! We really loved the quality & taste of the food. It was such a hot day so I had the mool-naeng-myun (chewy buckwheat & starch noodles served in an ice-cold, savory broth made from beef with fermented radish kimchi) to cool off. My husband had the bibim-naeng-myun (mixed with spicy sauce) and our son had the spicy pork bulgogi, but he hardly ate it bc he was too busy eating the odang side dish. So funny! He said it was the best thing he has ever tasted! We will definitely return to the Bellevue location for their great food, clean ambiance, and exceptional service. We hope Daniel is there again. Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. I didn't look up the exact violations, but it would be great to see an improvement in score. Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere
