I really liked this store at first and ended up spending thousands of dollars on fixtures for my remodel. Unfortunately, that changed when I received an item that was too large for my space and couldn't be used. I reached out to my sales associate, who had always been quick to respond whenever I was making a purchase. However, once I needed to process a return, communication suddenly became very slow. It took over a week to get a response. When they finally did respond (over a week later), they refused the return because the box was ripped. The item was extremely heavy, so the only way to remove it was by opening and tearing the box. Apparently, they expect customers to unpack a heavy fixture and somehow keep the box in perfect condition. That is completely unrealistic. The manager, Derrick, was dismissive and came across as though he couldn't care less. His response genuinely shocked me. He basically said, "Well, if you can't use it, then buy another one." There was no apology, no attempt to find a solution, and no appreciation for the fact that I had already spent thousands of dollars there. That level of customer service was incredibly disappointing. One thing I wish I had known beforehand is that this is not a corporate Kohler store. It is a KOHLER Signature Store independently owned and operated by Hajoca, an authorized Kohler retailer. That means it is not bound by the same customer service or return policies you might expect from a corporate owned store. Save yourself the headache and buy from a retailer like Costco or Home Depot instead. Their customer service and return policies are far more customer friendly. When you're spending thousands of dollars on a remodel, you deserve a company that stands behind its customers, not one that tells you to just buy another product when something doesn't work out. read more

Marc provided great help selecting products we needed for our bathroom remodel. Everything arrived quickly. I didn't look through any boxes, since plumbing is well outside my wheelhouse. When the plumber was putting it all together, one piece was damaged out of the box. I contacted Marc, he had a replacement delivered to my house in within 30 minutes. Given some of the past reviews, I was cautious. Since I wanted to purchase a Kohler product, I took a chance and visited the store. Service was great and they answered all my questions. I want to give the staff extra KUDOS for handling all types of customers, along with the Brea Police (see below) Details Below: I (a person of Asian descent) saw two young unattended kids playing and seemingly dancing around the display. I complimented them on their "dancing" and wonder if they can show me their steps. They didn't and I went on my way. Few minutes later, the kids found their parents came to talk to me and asked what I said to the kids - maybe they didn't understand English. I stated that I was complimenting your kids' dancing and both of us went on our separate ways. Before they left, I asked what their kids said to them and the parents refused to answer After a few minutes while I was waiting for the salesperson, along with two other customers, the kids' parents apparently called the Brea Police resulting in four officers approaching me at the store to leave. Apparently the parents stated that I was endangering their children (don't want to state what the police exactly stated). Note: **FOUR** officers (as oppose to the commonly number of 2 officers appearing in similar sitatuions) appear only for violent/threat, criminal operations, felonies, etc. Police officers frisked me, padded me down, asked for ID, inquire of why I am in the store, etc. During the interview, they asked if the words of the parents were correct. My reply was that the words were accurate but not in the order that it was spoken. After our interview, police officers quickly assessed that the parents' call was frivilous and revealed their racial profiling prejudices. KUDOS to Brea Police Department Afterwards, the officers were professional, respectful and even provided assistance/recommendations in the type of bathroom faucets to purchase, of which I did. Did share that with such protective parents, why did they leave their two children (possibily 7 & 5 years old0 unattended in art of the store directly adjacent to the exit doors. Since I come from a world of friendly people while recognizing that people do racially profile other ethnic groups, such as myself, sadly I accept that this is the world that I live in and moved on quickly KUDOS to Brea Kohler Sales Representatives When I returned, unflustered or angered, they seemingly understand that some customers have their own agendas/prejudices and provided the great service. It appeared that these parents bought some items, hence the sales people treated every customer respectfully and politely. Kudos to the staff and personally it was greatly appreciated. Note: One of the police officer corrected me that this store is a "Kohler Store" but rathe a store that specializes in selling Kohler products - LOL! Another helpful suggestion from the police officers was identifying which of the three choices would he recommend. This officer took the time to explain the various differences and other additional details that was very appreciated and was a large part of my reasons why I selected a certain product - again KUDOS to the Brea Police Department. Shared my experience with my neighbor (he is White) for his perspectives. Racial profiling, verifying the validity of the accusations (that couldn't be done in the few minutes between talking to the parents and police officers arrival at the store0, etc. Made the decision not to escalte because we live in a world where ethnic minorities such as myself usually have less success than people of Anglo/European descent (my assumption) have in being treated equally. Conclusion: I was happy with my experience at the store,glad to witness the professionalism of the salespeople at the Brea Kohler Store and thankful of the Brea Police Department. read more

We are in the process of remodeling our bathrooms so we decided to check out the KOHLER store in Brea since it's so close by to select fixtures and hardware. However, my husband and I felt like we were being ignored by the sales people. I don't see why not any of them can help cause they were either talking to each other or sitting at the tables on their computers - not al all busy. Not one (I saw 4 of them) that we passed by and not one acknowledged us or ask if we needed help or if we had any questions. I did feel discrimination here. Because of the experience we received from the Kohler employees, we decided to not purchase anything from KOHLER but go with Moen or Delta even though KOHLER was our first choice. read more

My first visit was quick. I did a fast lap around the entire store, looking for their kitchen items. When I stopped long enough, a welcoming voice greeted me & offered me coffee, sparkling or regular water - so nice! I took her up on the coffee & she answered a few questions for me. While I could see the showroom was on the smaller side, they pack in as much product as they can, while still maintaining function & beauty. In my search for 2 kitchen faucets, 1 island sink & a drinking water spigot, I went online to search the store further. I saw that I could make an appt, so I did. Almost immediately after clicking ENTER, I received a phone call from the store manager, Curtis, confirming my appt. He was already asking what I was in need of, I assume so he could prep himself for the in-person appt by having things ready to show me. I called ahead to let Curtis know I was running late. He said not to worry & seemed very cool & calm about it. When I arrived, he let me explain what I was looking for, what I needed size-wise, & I even showed him my color scheme & overall style of the space. He listened well & was able to suggest a few pieces that piqued my interest. He took his time, showing me the various spray options for the faucets, explained the different finishes, and showed me traditional vs modern vs simplistic. I purchased everything I needed &, since he knew I needed the sink like last week, he said it would be at my doorstep by noon the next day. The next morning, my countertop guy came to measure. I showed him the specs of the island sink - it was too big! I called Curtis right away & he got to work... he found the perfect size & color sink for my space & stopped delivery of the 1st sink. He also had the replacement sink delivered the following day. Since that 1st sink was too big, so was the faucet - it was a mess, but he helped me figure it out & was patient & supportive the entire time. Just when I thought I was done, I needed 1 more thing. I went in, but Curtis was off. Raymond greeted me & showed me the same courtesy, patience & excellent customer service. It's obvious that Curtis is professional, knowledgeable & leads by example - he sells a quality product & has a quality team behind him! I did my research on Kohler brands & found that these are far superior than what you can buy at the big box home stores. Those are mass-produced with cheap materials, which is why they're less expensive & don't last as long. I know I'll be happy with these durable, high-end products for years to come! We arrived at the store about 45 minutes before closing (on a Saturday) and Sarah stayed with us almost a full hour after closing to type up the quote knowing that we were not quite ready to commit. We went back the following Saturday and worked with Ida who was also extremely accommodating in helping us add to and finalize our order........or so we thought. We ended up going back again on Sunday and Sarah helped us decide on the last few accessories. Please Note: The multiple trips to the store was the result of me and my wife being a little indecisive and the insane need of my wife for every item needing to match exactly in color and shape right down to the towel hooks and toilet paper roll holder. Keep in mind that we finished ordering everything on Sunday afternoon and the entire order was delivered Monday morning at 8:20am. Even the delivery driver was most pleasant and helpful. Sarah called today to follow up and make sure everything arrived as scheduled. Ryan was a doll, he was so helpful and knowledgeable helping me when I was stuck on two designs. I'm happy he was able to help me when my husband and I walked in, I can't wait for my master and half bath to be full of Kohler appliances. If you need help I would absolutely recommend Ryan! We went in to look for a faucet, and shower fixtures for our guest bathroom remodel. It was a bit confusing because you can mix and match many different pieces into many different configurations. It's all very flexible. Kayla came to the rescue to help us and explain all the options. She put together several estimates for 2 different configurations. It was so helpful. I feel like we were able to size our project to exactly what we needed, and wanted. We chose the Castia collection in a configuration that works perfectly for the guest bathroom. The cool thing is that we needed the faucet right away, but not the shower fixtures for a few months. She explained that Kohler allows you to store products in their warehouse until ready for delivery. Im very pleased with the service. We haven't used the products yet, so I will come back with an update (if I remember). read more

Beautiful store with lots of fixtures nicely displayed, from tubs to toilets to vanities to mirrors to finishings. I wish they had some of their smaller tubs on display, though. The best part Of our experience was the assistance and guidance from a very nice gentleman, Koichi Motega. He helped us coordinate the fixtures with our tile and wood tone, keeping in mind the size and style of our bathroom. He has a keen eye for detail and style, and he's very frank about what will and won't work. He was generous with his time and attention. And the great thing about him is that he can draw and design your bathroom in 3D! This was very helpful when we were trying to figure out how much space we would have and where to place our freestanding tub. I made an appointment on a Sunday and went there at 10 am and ended up staying there till almost 4 - Alyssa was really patient and helped me with my design options, layouts, different options to meet my price point. I made my selection 2 weeks after with numerous phone calls and emails in between - Alyssa or her colleague Josh was super helpful with the purchase. I purchased a 66" bathtub, 4 Robern medicine cabinets, faucets and light sconces. The entire process from design consultation, purchase, delivery by the Kohler trucks was a very good experience. I did have to rerun a few sconces and have other items purchased and they helped me with the process - no hassle.
