Kohl's man... I stopped by this particular store because I had a coupon and also happened to be in the area. I think there are only a few good brands left at any Kohl's these days. Lauren Conrad and Elle are my favorite but I found the selection here was pretty hit or miss. The staff is nonexistent. They are up by the registers for the most part. I really wanted to get a few shirts that were up on the wall but only reachable by tall people or poles, sadly I am not tall and I forgot my tree trimmer pole. I was also hoping to pick up some wine glasses because one of their coupons was for a "Mom Gift" and that included housewares. Was very disappointed to find they only carried Food Network glasses or plastic wine glasses. I tried to find a set of Food Network glasses that were actually glass and all of the boxes had been opened and were missing glasses. They also wanted $40+ for a set of four. When I tried to ask a staff member he kept pointing me to the plastic glasses that were sold as singles on their discount rack. Obviously everything is overpriced and they want their shoppers to feel like they are really get a deal when you're actually paying the normal price with a "sale" sticker. The guy at the register was really pleasant, so that's a plus. He was even dragged through the ringer with the guest before me after she threw a fit about not being able to redeem her expired coupon. The dressing rooms were a total disaster area, just piled high with hangers and discarded clothes on the floor. This particular Kohl's was a bigger mess then some of the other ones I've visited. While I have received some pretty good deals here using their coupon once or twice, my overall shopping experiences usually end up the same way. Not good... and they go something like this: I come into the store and look around. I get disgusted about how overinflated the prices are for only fair quality merchandise. Then my intelligence gets insulted because they think I'm not smart enough to figure out that their $10 item is priced at $30 but they take 50% off. So I'm supposed to pay $15 for $10 worth of stuff? Not. Then, if I'm lucky to find something to buy, I head to the front of the store where I get to wait in a long line just to pay and get the hell out of there. But guess what? Kohl's isn't happy with the fact that I'm choosing to buy from them. Nope, that's not enough. Now they want to ask every customer if they want a Kohls account. and my email address... they want that too. Meanwhile the line gets longer, and longer, and longer. This place is always having sales and then discounts on top of that. There's also a clearance section where you find some hidden gems. I swear they may even have special sales on sale items..heh. My point is you can get some really cool clothing at bargain prices. They actually have some clothes at regular pricing, but I just wait for the next sale. Its like a discount department store without the stigma of a Marshall or Ross . Its always clean and inviting where the patrons are respectful & polite. I highly suggest shopping at Kohls if you are not into high end brands and money is an object. This is no Macy's or Nordstroms.... thank goodness. read more

I visited Kohl's on September 21, 2021, in need of a new foundation since mine had been discontinued. I encountered associate, Mehraj, and explained my need for a new foundation, and that I had been to several other beauty stores with no luck. Not only did Mehraj take the time to ask for my concerns and wants, but he evaluated my undertones, and gave me a brief tutelage of what I should be looking for in a foundation (...these days, since I've been using Nars, All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation - Semi-matte, for almost a decade, and technology has greatly changed formulas during this time. Thus, how we go about looking for a new foundation is different). His patience and knowledge were unmatched by those at other beauty stores, and I left with two foundations to try, with one being a winner. If you have any beauty needs, ask for Mehraj. A corporate disaster placed in the heart of Elk Grove! I usually come lingering in here on one of those boring weekend afternoons. Just stopping in to check out the never ending cheap sale items, I decided it was a journey in itself trying to shop here. I went seeking a navel ring, which they previously carried a wide selection of. To my disappointment I could not locate them, or they just don't carry them anymore. Regardless, I needed help in that, as well as looking for some converses, but what I found myself in was a state of frustration. Mumbling, complaining, and pacing the parameter of the store, I couldn't find ONE employee to help me. ONE just ONE freakin employee for a simple question. On top of that there was a line gazillion miles long. The store wasn't even crowded...what in the world is goin on?? Then I gave that up, and childishly huddled around the Dr. Seuss stuffed animals to which i had my eye set up on Horton & the Hop on Pop Bear. I dragged them around holding their hands, because I had to revert back to something nostalgic to make up for the lack of service. To which I went back to the front of the store and realized I would have to wait a good hour to get through the check out lanes (note the plural s). I had to abandon my two new found buddies... Inconsistent on policy. Used to accept khols cash after the expiration date, but they changed policy recently to only 10 days after. After that whole ordeal and I lost the opportunity to use 30 dollars worth of khols cash I hear from a friend that they took hers more than 10 days after. That 30 dollars was my first earned khol's cash and will be my last. Also the staff doesn't know about their military discount. I've had 2 different discounts applied. Today though not only the staff didn't know. The manager she called didn't know either. read more

I shop at kohls often because it's closer to where I live and sometimes I do find some good deals.... I love the brand LC Conrad, Candies, Elle and Vera Wang which they carry. Few years back I used to shop here EVERY week when they used to have no restrictions and coupon was good on anything in the store especially Nike. But slowly things are changing but one thing that remains the same is the awful customer service. Every time I come here, I notice the employees are in bad mood. I have been greeted very little time at the register. They always look and act very rude.....I have a feeling they are trained to be rude since 90% of the employees are rude and act the same. read more

I normally like shopping at Kohls during the holidays but my sister is obsessed with Kohls so we decided to come here. My 6 yr old nephew also wanted to buy my little brother a birthday gift so that was another reason why we went there. This Kohls is pretty damn clean. The customer service is also great! So my nephew ended up picking out a blue tie as the birthday present. There was no line at the register which was awesome. Once I got home, I looked at the receipt and noticed that the tie was $30.00. I looked at the tag price on the tie and it said it was $28.00. I was pretty upset that they had charged me more than what the tag price listed. Overall I will be going back but next time, I'll be sure to look at the receipt prior to leaving the store. read more

I've been to Kohl's twice. Once to pick up an online order and the other to do shopping with my mom for her Bunco Game prizes. One morning, I was looking for a brown floppy hat. I found one on the Kohl's website that looked cute and was affordable. I had never purchased anything from Kohl's prior to this, but I figured I'd give it a try. After submitting my order, I was surprised when it told me my order would be ready to pick up in about 4 hours at my local Kohl's store. I thought it was going to be one of those shipped-from-the-warehouse-and-you'll-get-it-in-10-years kind of orders. When I went to pick it up from customer service, I had to wait in a long line, but when it came to my turn, I was helped and gone within 5 minutes. The cashier was very nice and managed the busy store well. I was very pleased with my purchase AND the hat is pretty cute! The second time I went to Kohl's, I literally just followed my mom around the store like a 5-year old being dragged around a mall. Since it was a couple weeks before Halloween, they had tons of seasonal items out. My mom, being the crazy Martha Stewart Holiday Decorator that she is, was in heaven. We went in finding gifts for prizes, but left with tons of stuff for our own home as well. I didn't look too much into the clothing, but it seemed like an upgraded version of Target clothing, definitely suiting for younger children. I hope that doesn't make me sound snobby ): Anyway, if you need any home decor, little furniture items, etc., this is definitely a good place to start looking! read more

It's a 2 minute drive from my house. They have basic, everyday stuff. Looked for some fancier placemats, but didn't find any I liked. Also picked up a pack of socks. The bags on the shelf were opened, so I asked a salesman for help with getting a bag that was unopened. He was jolly, helpful and personable. No-- it's not Santa, although I did just describe him. Got my socks, got to the register and encountered an equally pleasant cashier, all smiles. No-- it's not Mrs. Claus. It's rare to find great customer service like that nowadays, so I was pleasantly surprised and decided it was worth Yelping about. It made my day. I didn't catch their names, but it's nice to know they're there. Good job on Kohl's part for having wonderful associates. read more

I shopped here on Black Friday. Love the Kohl's cash idea, I got $30! I saved $190+ on my purchases (according to their reg. prices) My best Black Friday find was the reversible bath rugs and jewelry, over 70% off. The lines were stupid ridiculous (an 1.5 hour wait) I will not do that again. Next time, I will stand in the return/exchanges line (i heard it was about a 30 min wait) I feel that Kohl's always says " biggest sale of the year" pretty much every other week. Which is BS, but if you do your research for deals, you could actually find some good deals occasionally at Kohl's. read more

I love coming to Kohls! They have a large selection of clothing, kitchenware, housewares, etc. Not only do I love coming here because it's close to me, it is very inexpensive! The employees were very nice & helpful too! I went for one thing & ended up buying MORE! What made my experience at Kohls even more satisfying was when i went to purchase my items; the cashier asked if I had any coupons...I told her I didn't (clothing was already cheap! 50-60% OFF) then she busted out with a coupon like a ninja behind the counter! I Visited what used to be one of my top 3 Fave locations on yesterday. The usual Pleasant experience I normally have when I shop here, which is very frequent. I left feeling confused, horrible, & treated like a profiled Customer (by actions of one of the (Mngr Asst or store Mngr. to the security guard) security, I noticed was out front upon entering, however as soon I realized the 3 areas where I shopped he kept appearing in between the racks of clothing (WOW) well back to the Mngr, her & I had an interaction (May 2021) regarding a price adjustment I was requesting from an previous online purchase. She stated she was unable to perform (but was very apologetic during our interaction regarding the matter) she stated I'd need to call customer service was the end result. I chalked it up as that and left the store just to have customer service to smoothly RESOLVE the simple matter. (Customer service stated the Mngr could've resolved in their store if they wanted to) which I knew because I've had this very same thing done before at other Kohl's. EZ PEEZY.... My past experiences with other Kohls has been IF....the store's customer service personnel couldn't resolve an issue the "Mngr on duty" are usually able to resolve it (if it's not TOO complicated) as a "Yes we can" PERK that's offered which is why I continue to spend money with Kohls(oh & the kool Kohls cash) while browsing I noticed the clearance area, picked up a few items was, was unable to read the labels due to he low lighting in the store(No problem) as well as I wear glasses but was still unable to read it. I walked over to the Mngr is asking if she could tell me if if she as a lip gloss or what. Not only did she step so far back away from me (While both of us had on masks, with mine being literally way up under my eye glasses) hers..... well I was able to see the tip of her nose. But I felt like I was bothering her from just standing there having casual conversation with her co-workers. After explaining what the item was I walked away. Noticed the fragrances were clearance picked one up (Tester Bottle) sprayed my wrist, attempted to put it back but it slipped from my hand, fell and broke. (No security guy in site) at that point Hmmm.... I wonder Why? Maybe because you get a financial perk from the company for catching shoplifters & THIS WAS NOT.... THAT Sir! & will NEVER BE.... My INTEGRAL Character speaks volumes...... I then walked back over to that same (DISMISSIVE) Mngr to let her know the mess i had just made as I apologize for doing so.... She LITERALLY rolled her eyes, Sighed the biggest SIGH as she preceded to call someone over to clean the spill. Another shopper walked over & asked if I was okay several times & stood there until I tip toed from the glass and spill (I was wearing Sandles) saying that to say NOT one store personnel even acknowledged my safety (at that point) nit even the STALKING security guy. I walked away in total Awe! My lasting memory was a VERY POSITIVE one due to the GREAT customer Service given to us by the Cashier. The young made made me feel as if my total experience wasn't a disaster & I felt better about the one purchase I had made in which we went in to purchase matching July outfits and to use the rest of my Kohls cash I had earned a few weeks prior from a $489 Samsonite luggage purchase (Check my order history) Kohls.com I'm always there shopping. The Khol's is fairly large with a great selection compared to other Kohl's I've gone too. Although it can get quite messy at times, they always almost everything you need at pretty fair prices. (When I say fair, I mean that they usually almost always have sales and coupons galore.) If you have their rewards card you can accumulate points and get even more savings that way. I usually just like to come here to buy from the Lauren Conrad Collection b/c I really like her clothes and accessories, but Kohls has clothes for all ages, kitchen and bath necessities, and shoes. read more

Usually Kohl's is great, but I have never tried online pick up. I got an email that my order is ready. I go into the store, the attendant hears beeping but ignores it. I go home to find the sensor is still on. Trip 2, I take the sensor off but want to check if they have a different size in the store. I know they can check the item number, but she directed me to order via kiosk. I ordered again, and got an email an hour later, that the order is ready, indicating that they DID have a different size. I pick it up, and go home. Another sensor is on the shirt! I go back to the store for the 4th time in the same day. Wasted time and gas when the attendant could've been more helpful instead of directing me to keep ordering online. read more

This is one of my favorite shopping stores in the Elk Grove area, mainly because Elk Grove doesn't have much to offer to begin with. I've been to all 4 Kohl's within reasonable driving distance and this one has a lot of merchandise to choose from in their clearance rack. They have a lot of stylish clothes to choose from, my favorite lines include Elle, LC Lauren Conrad, and Simply Vera. Card holder's get a lot of promotional discounts mailed to their house, I love the 30% off coupons, and $10 Kohl's cash they offer for every $50 spent. However, at this location you must really pay attention to their prices. A lot of the clearance items have different prices for the same style, but different sizes. They are often off and you have to bring it to their attention in order for them to adjust the price (usually their price nice, unless you get some snobby cashier). I think their customer service has slowly gone down hill since they first opened, but I guess they gotta compensate for their low price clothing. read more

My first shopping experience at this location was amazing! I purchased a few pots and cooking utensils. I didn't know what I wanted but everything was easy to find and CLEAN. The cashier, Holly, even honored 15% off my purchase without coupons and without me asking for a discount! (paid with my kohls card) I was super thrilled about that! Worst Kohls ever. They cram so much merchandise on the racks you can't pull out the clothes. They also don't bother to put the sizes on the correct hangers so you pull out a large only to find its actually a small on large hanger. And they don't even bother to restock to the right area. I watched a sales girl putting clothing back in the wrong place. Makes me wonder if Kohls is having financial trouble or if it's just this store. read more

I had a horrible experience at this Kohls. A white older female supervisor kicked me out of her store. I think her name was Christy or something like that. I called corporate 3 weeks ago about the situation and no one has gotten back to me. I was shopping at this Kohls on a Sunday morning and while I was checking prices at the self scanner this Caucasian supervisor gave me a very mean look and told me if I wanted to know the price I should go to the front counter and ask them to give me the price. I think she was upset because I was putting items back on a rack that didn't go there and I think she was mad because I was leaving things that didn't belong in the area. I told her I was sorry and I will put the items back. Then a co-worker asked her how she was doing and she started complaining about being short staffed and hating her job. After she picked on me and then started complaining about her job and I had enough and turned around and asked her if there was a problem and why she was so angry at everything. She responded back by yelling at me to get out of her store. I left my stuff in the kart and walked out of the store because this supervisor was so mean and hateful to me. If you are going to shop at this Kohls be careful of the mean supervisor. I seen other comments on here about other customers seeing a Caucasian supervisor yelling at a Mexican employee in front of them. I hope corporate see how horrible this supervisor is and sees she is causing a lot of harm to their store. On our last visit my daughter and I wanted to return two items and purchase two items. There were two lines of about 15 people each, with three checkers working each line. One of them literally did not move for five minutes so I went to the other line. Same thing...the line was moving painfully slow. Kohl's has some decent sales and their merchandise is good, but the customer service is not consistently good. They do not seem to be able to call for extra help when the lines get long. read more

I recently had foot surgery and had to do most of my shopping online and purchased several pairs of slippers (online) most were Dearfoams, since unfortunately I cannot wear regular shoes right now. Had to order 2 different sizes and returned the ones that didn't fit. Went into the store this evening with approximately "ten" pairs of slippers (no kidding....my husband had to help me bring in the box) and a couple of other items. Artie in the Returns Dept. helped me. The 5 stars are for the excellent customer service I received! He had a great attitude and promptly took care of my returns and credit. Many retailers out there do not train their employees with regards to customer service, it seems good customer service is so rare anymore. I enjoy kohls and normally they are very professional and courteous. Not today. I had ordered an item for store pick up, it alerted me it was ready which is a great way to shop. There are two lines, one for returns and one for quick store pick up. The other line was long, nobody in my line. Store clerk says I'll help who's next, I asked from which line because all 5 guests in the return line were there before me, the clerk rudely said it doesn't matter. We asked again and she said it doesn't matter. So I instructed two of the guests from the other line to go ahead. The two line system defeats the purpose if you are going to operate as if you have one line or leave it to the guests to decide. More than anything, if you work in customer service, it goes a long way. read more
