I mainly used to come here to do Amazon returns but the last few times I've come here; there were no assistant to be found at the Amazon Returns booth. A few times I had to search around the second floor for an employee for assistance. And when they do assist you; they are usually rude and make it seem like YOU'RE the one inconveniencing them. We decided to visit my wife's old stomping ground and find a pair of Disney Earrings in the aquamarine color color for a friend. I noticed that many of the optional colors can only be found online. Colors like red, yellow, sapphire and amythest for example. I did not see amythest as an option online, but I would say it is a safe bet these were one of the colors sold out. I plan to get my wife two more of these earrings for Christmas. Two great Christmas gifts and 6 to 4 stocking stuffers. These stocking stuffers will not be useless junk. Kohl's was pretty busy, but not over crowded. The public bathroom doors were wide open and set so they did not close. Could be a security thing, but sounds of Little Drummer Boy coming out of someone's butt is not what one wants to hear. Oh well, it is what it is. The bathrooms were very clean and this is the most important thing to me. This place has a lot of things to offer and many things could end up coming home with you if your not careful. While out of town I needed a pair of dress pants. At home in Virginia Beach Kohl's is my go to for Dockers. The store is located in a mall, but in a hurry and not familiar with my surroundings I have no idea of the name. There was plenty of parking and no debris spotted in lot, or walk up. I accessed the store and immediately went to the rear where the men's department was. Kohl's has an awesome selection of Dockers. However, I needed a specific type and help would have been fantastic. Regrettably no help ever came. The stacks and displays were sloppy. After approximately 20 minutes I finally located the size and type of pants. Checkout was a bit painful with a over zealous clerk that was bound determined to have me sign up for a credit card. I utilized an online coupon with my smart phone with no issues. I will continue Kohl's, but I'm glad this is not my store. I totally get the overall rating. 2.5, rounding down. read more

Kohl's needs to do something about entitled owners with their pets inside the store. Pets should not be allowed inside the stores or inside shopping carts. Why is it necessary to bring an untrained pet inside the store? They are not service dogs. It is important to understand the difference between pets and service dogs. Service dogs are trained to help their owners. Therefore, they know how to behave in crowded areas, they will not bark, touch surfaces (including cosmetics) or bother other customers. On the other hand, untrained pets are unpredictable and even dangerous, especially in unfamiliar settings like a store. This situation is really getting out of control. This Kohl's location is doing COVID right! A (masked) gentleman greeted me upon entrance to let me know store changes in store policy due to COVID. Cleverly, an arm's length away from a sanitation station. Operating smoothly with no shortage of sales associates, they were a breath of fresh air. They were willing to help, knowledgeable, personable, and jovial--all while keeping their social distance. A+ for customer service and cleanliness. Empty, compared to other locations I visit regularly. Though it was in the middle of the workday, in the middle of the week. However, walking around and looking for shoes, there was no one around to ask questions. It was fairly easy for me to find what I was looking for both in the shoe department and also the kitchen utensils. Prices were super good and it helped that I had a 30% off coupon, which ended that day. The cashier was pleasant and was in and out with my purchases very quickly. The only thing that bothers me about Kohl's is the fact that Kohl's cash expires so quickly. Frankly, if you spend enough money and get Kohl's cash, it should never expire. I can't tell you how many times mine doesn't get used and it makes me angry that after two weeks it can't be used. Just watched in horror as a cashier told a fellow cashier that she had to "speak English" because we "are in America" in front of a line of customers. Management stood by and watched it happen. Lots of parking, with a weird stop sign stand in the pedestrian crossing zone out front. Plenty of blazers available here, but fewer nice dress slacks. About 7 clearance racks for women's section alone. The end stall in that section is a little eerie because it's not in range of the motion sensors that keep the fitting room lights on. No sports jerseys in adult sizes, just for the tykes. Some Caps sweatshirts. Caved and got a charge card for the extra discounts. Cashier service was plenty friendly but the floor manager was utterly imbecilic. Long overdue review! I love Kohl's. At first, I avoided going to this store, and never gave this place a chance. Lately, I saw that they carried some celebrity brands and when you are tight on money -- Kohl's just makes sense. Clothing line I like - Vera Wang & LC Conrad. LC makes the cutest stud earrings for everyday wear. Love the screen print shirts they have at times -- current like: Frozen. I'm such a kid at heart! Baby selection -- Somewhat good sale of clothes. It is only better with thr Kohl's cash. Seasonal - Love their Christmas item selection and Halloween decor. When the items are on sale (40-50%) off PLUS Kohl's cash -- it's a no brainer. Service - It depends. As of 9/28 - they had more workers on the cash register to accommodate the customers. Which is good, because I've seen the long line. It deters us people from waiting too long. On a Monday morning the return line was short and I was able to purchase the shoes there after I made my return. For some reason, this location is a mess, and I'm confused as to why. I've visited several other Kohls locations. The store would be neat, tidy and organized. The changing rooms are okay, every time I've been here, there's ripped off price tags from their merchandise on all of the dressing rooms. This is a definite sign that the "Theft department" is not on their game. This location is the closest one to me. I prefer to go to their Burke location. I'm really not understanding the less than stellar reviews for service at this Kohl's. I have never had anything but great experiences with the associates here from those at the return desk to the cashiers. I had purchased a set of sheets online - they were pricey especially for Kohl's, but I liked the weight and quality of the product. Not more than 6 months later, the fitted sheet ripped. On a whim, I took the sheets back and the associate looked up my purchase (I had used my Kohl's card) and within minutes my money was refunded. More than once I have forgotten my Kohl's coupon when checking out. The cashiers always offer me a scratch off so I usually get 15% at least. They have always checked me out with a smile and friendly chatter. No complaints about service at all. The store itself can get a bit crazy especially during the holidays. Also, you really have to watch quality of the items you purchase when it comes to shoes and clothing. For the most part, the items are decent and fairly priced if you can buy them on sale. If an item is not on sale today, come back next week. My only criticism is the store can be one hot mess. I blame a good part of this on customers themselves who pick something up and are too lazy to put it back. I've seen many an associate trying to clean up the gigantic pile of clothes someone just threw on the floor in a dressing room. Just practice some common courtesy and we can all have a better shopping experience. At any rate, I am a fan of my local Kohl's and will continue to frequent the Fair Lakes location. read more

I visited Kohl's on Memorial Day to spend $10 in Kohl's cash and I wisely went into the store to purchase my merchandise versus the Kohl's website. Normally, I'll buy more than I need on the website just to obtain "free" shipping and spend the "$10" or so in Kohl's cash. Well, "gotcha" Kohl's! My daughters needed socks and that's exactly what I purchased (especially since the Clearance rack was lacking). I selected two packs of Carters' socks and I'm pretty sure the SALE sign stated "Buy One, Get One Half Off". When I got to the register, the socks were on clearance so the price came to $11.27. I showed the Associate my phone but she did not initially see my Kohl's cash. Instead she scanned my membership number and repeated the total of $11.27. I quickly reminded her to scan my $10 Reward and paid my $1.27. Despite the "savings", you really need need to come down on your prices for socks (6 pairs purchased). I laughed at the receipt which stated how much I "saved" -- it's not really a savings if you increase the price of the merchandise before the "SALE". Let me preface this by saying I love Kohls as a company. Every other location I have been to has been great, ordering online is great, and you just can't beat their deals. The customer service at other locations is great, in fact I have hired several people who previously worked at the location across from my office. Unfortunately this Fairfax Kohls is not like the others. First of all there were lines at every register that was working. I heard several other people grumbling about how long it took to check out. I don't understand why but at least two of the registers there were TWO employees checking out each customer. When I finally got the the front the cashier was clearly in a bad mood. Also she wasn't familiar with the sale this weekend. I used my Kohls card and asked her about the discount, and she said "that's only if you use your Kohls card. Oh boy. I have lived in NoVa for 2.5 years for some reason under the impresion that there is no Kohl's in a hundred mile radius. My fiance and I recently decided we'd like to register at Kohl's for our wedding, and had planned to do it online until I realized this existed. We went in and were promptly helped to a scanner gun, which I must say was way more dated and had less features than the one we got at Target for the same purpose. All the housewares are on the second floor here, so we were able to make a quick loop, as things are laid out pretty compactly. It took us about an hour to register going through every single little item available. When we were done, an employee helped us upload our information from the scanner to the computer, and voila! Great experience, and we've got our fingers crossed for some goodies from our friends and family! I also love Kohl's clothes and will be back for that purpose soon! read more

I really enjoy this Kohls, compared w/ other locations I've visited. Like many Kohls, it depends on when you go... the dressing rooms can get rather cluttered, as though they only tidy up at closing time (?) As a bargain shopper, the sales cannot be beat. If you spend $600 in one calendar year, you become a Most Valued Customer and get 18 mailers per year with valuable coupons (up to 30% off your entire purchase -- hardly any exceptions!) They have a grand variety of many styles for young women and misses. I have purchased many shoes from here over the years, with excellent sale prices on name-brand athletic shoes. I have also found many home decor items in their clearance section, as well as kitchen towels, bathroom items, and baby clothes. I have had a lot of luck finding baby clothes by Carters, OshGosh, and more, at awesome prices (use in conjunction with your MVC coupons and you're really saving!) If I were going to have lunch with the management of Kohls, my only real question would be why they consistently place non-English speakers behind the customer service counter. Went to this Kohl's yesterday to return an online purchase. Only ONE handicapped parking space. They converted the rest to curbside pickup and recharging stations for electric cars. Went inside and the first thing I saw was a sign stating that I had to go all the way to the second floor to return purchases. Seriously, Kohl's? This lady was SCREAMMMMING asking for help, the manager follows her quickly and is yelling back at her that if SHE doesn't stop screaming he's going to have to ask her to leave...WHAT? The dude that was "helping "us, which is named Ben, was nothing but rude as well. A coffee maker that is close to $200 shouldn't have issues with it for the value that it cost. I purchased a pair of Lee Jeans clearly marked $36.99. When I got home I noticed that the receipt showed I was charged $44.00. I went back to the store and the Customer Service (I used the term "service" very loosely) woman told me "we sometimes change prices and forget to change the tags". Really? My next step was to call the corporate office who told me "we can only help with online orders, if you purchased in the store, you must go back to the store" I will NEVER shop at Khol's again. I love Kohl's, the deals that can made on quality items are great. This store is generally clean and a handful of people are commendable. Now today another poor experience have me needing to share it. I get to customer service to pick up an online order with my 4 years old already giving me a fit. I get to the front of line, to find 3 ladies talking, one is not facing me and is asking the others for hangers, the other two can clearly see me but no one says hi, no one acknowledges me and say we will be with you in a minute. They actually keep talking about what sound like personal stuff. After maybe a minute maybe 3, again when in line time is pretty slow. The one not fac ing have to tell the other two at least 3 times, maybe more:"there is a customer", maybe by the fifth time, one of them comes to a register and ask online pick up? Now I'm dealing with my toddler, I just watch them ignore me for a minute, and when they decide to interact no hello, no sorry for the wait? This is, at least for me very very bad, something I would expect at the Wal-Mart, but again .... Service is getting so bad at this store, I may just have to stay away. read more

Wow this store is probably the second worst store I have ever seen. It appears that all the sales associates had their entire families there as there wetr running wild children. throwing clothes on the floor and playing hide and seek with absolutely no regard for the customers. Kohl's typically has the best shoe department...this shoe department was undescribable bad. I only wish I had taken a picture to prove how bad. It appears when customers try on shoes they put the shoes on top of the rack with the display shoes and the empty boxes in the cubby holes. There were piles and piles of shoes on top of the display case and empty boxes everywhere. Very much to my disgust I left and will never return to that store. Its ashame that the store is in bad shape Kohl's typically has very nice selections. Never again. read more
