I love Kohl's, the deals that can made on quality items are great. This store is generally clean and a handful of people are commendable. Now today another poor experience have me needing to share it. I get to customer service to pick up an online order with my 4 years old already giving me a fit. I get to the front of line, to find 3 ladies talking, one is not facing me and is asking the others for hangers, the other two can clearly see me but no one says hi, no one acknowledges me and say we will be with you in a minute. They actually keep talking about what sound like personal stuff. After maybe a minute maybe 3, again when in line time is pretty slow. The one not fac ing have to tell the other two at least 3 times, maybe more:"there is a customer", maybe by the fifth time, one of them comes to a register and ask online pick up? Now I'm dealing with my toddler, I just watch them ignore me for a minute, and when they decide to interact no hello, no sorry for the wait? This is, at least for me very very bad, something I would expect at the Wal-Mart, but again .... Service is getting so bad at this store, I may just have to stay away. read more

I saw my high school teacher here the one time I visited. It was unusual for me to see teachers in the summer. We chatted. That encounter alone made me think of Kohl's as a decent place, because my teacher seemed to like it, and was a regular customer at the time. Death to the dowdy brown pants I bought, though. The worst custome service ever! The fact that I spent $358 and was only given dirty looks and lazy customer service was upsetting. When i asked for help finding an item I saw on their website and the sales associate points in a general direction and says its somewhere over there...I should have just left. However what is worse is the fact that I was the last customer in line and they had locked the doors. When I went to leave the person who locked the doors was too busy gossiping about people getting their surveys done then unlocking the door. So I hauled my bad of clothes and unlicked the door all while in the reflection they just watched me....take your money elsewhere! read more

I stopped by this Kohls yesterday. This store always seems so cluttered to me ! I was the next in line, and the cashier looks at me and leaves the register- seriously just having one register open is not a good idea ! Think I may need to change the Kohls store .The last time I was checking out at this store,I was getting a few summer clothes and the cashier was ring me out, and talking to me saying things like- I would never wear these shorts, and I don't like this shirt- really lady, why are you even working here???!!! read more

Is there less than one star? This place was a mess and the employees were HORRIBLE! The website said the store closed at 10 but at 8:57 they turned the lights out on me! As I made my way to the register at least 3 employees told me they were closed. I got it already!!! At the checkout the clerk literally shoved my new clothes into the bag hangers and all and pushed the bag across the counter so abruptly that a stack of applications fell on the floor. I understand having a bad day but I think everyone in that store needs an attitude adjustment. There are plenty of other stores in the Fair Lakes area so I will not be headed back to Kohls again! read more

Very disorganized. Most recent time I was here an employee was hanging up baby clothes and was coughing and sniffing all over. She would cough into her hands then hang up baby clothes. Yuck... please don't expose customers to your germs. Checkout moves super slow. read more

This review is for the awful employee in the fitting room, an older lady with glasses and long black hair that she wore down. She didn't acknowledge me when I stepped into the fitting room, so I just took an empty room. I was trying on clothes for a while, and then I started gathering up all the clothes on hangers that I didn't want to buy. I opened the door with these clothes in one hand, and the lady snaps at me that I need to hang up clothes that I don't want. "That's what I'm doing," I tell her and she gathers the clothes and starts muttering to herself. I go back into dressing room to get a few more clothes to hang up, but instead I try to hang them up myself in the rack because she's being so hostile. Before I've even taken my hand off them, she yells at me "Just let me hang them up!" and then continues muttering "oh my god, oh my god" as I return to the room to gather my purse and the clothes I was buying. My mom and I spent over $400 at the register but this lady treated me like scum. She had me so stressed I was shaking -- I couldn't understand why she was treating me so horribly. Kohl's, please fire this lady, she treats everyone in the store as though they're cockroaches in her kitchen. The only good thing was the young lady at the cash register. She was friendly and fair when I pointed out a sale she missed. read more

I have been a regular here for many years. My family and I have been shopping at khols since the early 2000s. But today I couldn't have been more disappointed and furious. Today I went shopping with my mother and during checkout, a middle aged cashier lady named Janet was being disrespectful and rude to my mother and I. In the middle of scanning the items we bought (which were well over $150). She suddenly asks for the coupons and our khols charge card even though she was not even halfway through the merchandise. My mother was surprised and asked why she needed it so early. She did not explain anything and repeatedly questioned agrresively for the coupons. Janet CONTINPUSLY MUTTERED "JESUS CHRIST, JESUS CHRIST" in our faces while DEMANDING for it. She kept rushing us to get the coupon and card out even though she wasn't done with checking out our items. Not to mention, she SCOFFED and sneered at my mother multiple times . I was finishing up the shopping for the Wifey's XMas gifts. It was around 300pm and I thought how much of a mad house is this going to be, plus with traffic the way it is on Friday in the DMV, a challenge was going to ensue. I was pleasantly surprised. The store was jammed with holiday shoppers. I found everything I needed and saved over $79 in Kohl's Savings (Bonus). The only drawback were that the lines for checkout were long, but the staff tried to do their best to get the shoppers in and out quickly. read more

The prices are overpriced, so when you get your coupons you feel like you are saving. I feel like the clothes are just so-so for what they want you to pay. Don't think I will be shopping here again. read more

My experience with kohl's does not concur with the current few stars - I went in today and was attended by Brian, the store manager who was so helpful and so attentive . I had to return a shirt from Xmas for my daughter which was quick, simple and stress free. Meanwhile my hubby found an awesome blanket with my daughter's college emblem which stood alone on a sale shelf marked 50:/ off. There were no other blankets like this so when we Inquired as to the price, Brian told us that he would honor the 50:/ off as it was on the table labeled as such. So pleasant, so easy and we would have gotten the blanket even at full price. I was impressed with the overall attitude of the store attendants and do not often shop at kohl's . I left the store extremely satisfied and thinking that I will definitely frequent this store more regularly due to the most pleasant nature of the attendants . Smiling and pleasant - all of them . One of the biggest Kohl's around, however they have serious problems with customer service! We bought an item which was defective and are having a very difficult time getting anyone on the phone to assist us with the return. The store is 30 minutes away and not easy for me to drive there just to return one item. I would prefer to get a new item in the mail, but I can't make contact with anyone. I submitted a complaint via the Internet to Corporate Kohl's and received a generic response with a telephone number, supposed to be open until 10pm, but at 7:00pm all I got was a recording that the customer service was closed. Maybe this is a sign the company is going down the tubes, saw similar signs of other large chain stores in the past, before they went out of business. I am going to stick with Sear's or Target for major purchases in the future. Or at the very least I will avoid this store in Fairfax. read more

The people who work here are really incompetent and can be replaced with clowns to get the same output (except for maybe the manager, so should we just call the manager each time we have a problem???) So here is what happened: Me and my wife were at this store yesterday getting some clothes. Since there were some designs that were not in my wife's size/color we tried to order them online using the kiosk in the store. When we scanned the bar code the item showed up in only one color and size that my wife did not want. So we called an associate to check what was going on. She did the same thing that we did, got the same output. Then she scanned the bar code using the small devices they carry around their hip. That device showed both the color and size that we wanted. So we got excited and asked her if we could use her device to place the order? She said that is not possible but told us we could do so from the customer service desk on the 2nd level. So we went there, waited for 10 minutes in a line just to be told that they cannot place orders for us online using their computers. Then the associate there asked us to try in a different kiosk on the second level (make the customer basically do the same thing they just failed in = "kohls great customer service"!!!). So we did and got the same output. I called another associate and she too had no clue as to what was going on... Then we asked her to call the manager. The manager came and told us that "sometimes some clearance items cannot be ordered online". This made sense to us and we left the store. But we are still wondering how the items in the same color and size show up on the first associate's device around her hip??? Why was there no message on the kiosk telling us that the item we were searching for is not available or tell us that this was a clearance item and that it cannot be ordered online??? What this cost us was 30 minutes of our life just to checkout items in a store where no one cares for you as a customer because the people working there have no clue on how to help their customers (something they supposedly do for hours each day) read more

Unorganized and chaotic customer service department. Don't order online for store pickup. You have to walk to the farthest area from the front door (upstairs in back corner) then wait in line, only to discover they can't locate your order and don't know where to find it. It took 2 trips, 45 mins. of wait time, 3 clerks, and 2 managers to process my online order. This was my first and last customer experience with Kohl's. read more

I've only been in the store twice and both times it was disorganized with no workers and poor customer service.

I have a very negative experience shopping at Kohl's Store. One time I was with a friend shopping at Kohl's and I opened an account with them while they were promoting their convincing deals. The same day, I decided to pay with my personal credit card since Kohl's credit card would come via mail so its better I cleared my charges here since I only would purchased one pair of pants that worth $19.10. However, I was never imagined that having this new account could be a nightmare of my life. This particular Kohl's Store located at Fair Lakes, VA 22033 made false charges on my Kohl account. I didn't realize the false charges until two months later I constantly received phone calls from Kohl store. The recordings keeped saying "Call Kohl's Department Store." "Call Kohls Department Store." At First, I thought it was a sale call and then I called back once, they told me that I have owed more than $170 charges for my purchased on the day I opened the account. My God! This is out of the blue. I quickly went to the store at Fair Lakes tried to get help from them. My first visit, the worker at the customer service would not even call the Store Manager for me and said to me that there was nothing to be done at their store. I had to just make calls to billing department. So, I went home and made few calls to the billing department. They told me a list of the items I didn't purchase and said that I purchased those items. I told them "no." However, they said that I had to go to the store to talk with them since the signature was on the receipt where I purchased. The Billing Department keeps calling me and asking me to pay the bills twice or three times a day. These calls make me crazy and upset. I decide to make my second trip to the Fair Lakes Store. Luckily, I have found my original receipt with this $19.10 charges on it. So, I take my proof to the Fair Lake Store. I went to the Store at Fair Lakes the second trip with the pair of pants that I bought and my original receipt. This time I insisted that I spoke to the Kohl Store Manager. Here this manager name " Cas Dec" who I thought could be someone helpful. Out of my expectation, he didn't even apologize to a lowly customer like me the whole time. He made phone calls and said the same thing of my charge. I showed him the receipt, I told him to take care of this situation right away or I would not leave the store. He had pulled out those false charges and saw the signature didn't match mine. What he did was, to make returns to those charges. That was the only thing he could do for me according to this Manager. He said he has taken care of the situation. Right after I left the store, the Kohl's Billing company keeps calling me and asking about the same charges. This really gets me mad. How stupid is this? I didn't even make these purchases, why the manager solved problems by making returns from me. I still need help. What he did didn't solve my problem. Who can help me in this bad situation? I still receive Kohl's phone calls everyday three or four times a day. I don't know why I have to put up with all these when this mistake has been made by Kohls store Cashier. I do not get any apology or further service from the store. I will tell more people about this unpleasant and humiliating experience. read more
