My husband and I came to this location to look at suit rental options and colors for our wedding. He's big into suits, so he was excited to see what we could put together. I'm writing another update to my review as I just completed my suit rental with this Men's Warehouse. I dropped a star because they gave me the wrong colored vest for the rental and unfortunately, I wasn't able to have it corrected because it was picked up late due to a medical emergency on my end and there was no opportunity for an exchange. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I tried to have it exchanged at the Charlottesville, VA location, and the gentleman I spoke to was very dismissive and offered instead that I buy one of their $100 vests - which I had to decline because that voided the whole point of me renting it out to begin with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I remember correctly, I even had to pay more for the rental package with the vest, only to have the vest come out with the wrong color. Do yourself a favor and just listen to the recent reviews, unlike I did. And no, I'm not just some perpetually upset reviewer, look at all of my positive reviews for places I've been. Not a single person moved towards assisting me until I walked around for about 5 minutes and pretended to browse right next to the multiple unoccupied employees.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Immediately the employee that walked over to me with AirPods in was already in a disengaged mood and gave me a few jackets to try on without any measurements, asks about my preferences, or guidance on fits/styles. I came in today with my son, 17, to get fitted for a suit in anticipation of prom season. My son has autism and is a bit squirmy but he does love to get dressed up for formal occasions. We did not have an appointment but after only a 5-minute wait in what looked to be a fairly busy dressing room area, we were greeted by Chris. He helped Justin try on some off-the-rack suits as well as fit him for a custom suit. We did not purchase a suit today (hoping to catch a sale), but we now have his measurements at the ready for when we do. Chris was so kind, personable, down-to-earth, and treated my son with dignity and respect. He fist bumped him upon greeting him, talked to him like a regular teen, and shook his hand when we left. It was so nice to see. Thank you, Chris, for helping us and for such a very positive experience. You're the best. I'll be telling other families with special needs teens who have proms and special events coming up this season to come here. read more

I won't be purchasing any more suits from this location. I recently purchased 6-7 suits at one time and I ended up have to make multiple trips to the store to get all the fittings, tailoring and purchases complete because several pieces had to be ordered. EVERY time I was in the store, I heard the sales associates complaining to someone (customers and staff) that they were "short handed", which resulted in the long wait times for service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tailor apparently works limited hours and leaves by 6:00 or 7:00 PM, which resulted in me wasting trips to the store and having to make return trips because when I stopped by after work to get a fitting, there was no tailor on duty (they could have told me the hours of the tailor were different than the hours of operation, which doesn't make sense to me).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]One sales associate held on to my suits when they arrived for my convenience until they could be tailored, while upon another visit, a different sales associate made me take all of the suits pieces that had arrived in the store with me (a "policy" that I suppose the first associate broke), which was an inconvenience to me since I had to drag all that clothes back and forth to the store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sales associates provided inconsistent levels/quality of service; the friendliness levels varied widely by employee. Periodically I order online and if something doesnt fit based on Men's Wearhouse's own return policy I return the item at the Fair Lakes store. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager there gets this 'revulsed' look at having to eat an e-commerce return (something retailers should be used to) and they seem to find any myriad of reasons as to why they literally CANNOT return your item.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have been to this store THREE times this week, the 1st time the manager was "at the bank" and since he is the only one who process refunds I could not wait. "Yeah we're real busy you picked the wrong day to return more merchandise" followed by "I am surprised didnt decide to mail these back to Men's Wearhouse" followed by the "system has locked me out" and "I am going to have to go in the back and call the hotline" so I waited another 15 minutes at which time he said his "key holder" would be in in 20 minutes and I could wait for him.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This guy truly believes that apologizing for the inconvenience that gets him out of what is really going here hence his terminology "more merchandise".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I still have the shoes...... I refunded a total of five items this year purchased online and who knows how long before that. Today this store was filled with pissed off customers all waiting for help. If this guy is so worried that the return of an $80 pair of shoes is gonna ruin his sales day then he's bad at his job......which is clear. Went to shop for a new suit and was happy to find several choices in my size, which was much better than my experience at several mall department stores. I came here to get fitted for a tux for a friend's wedding and the process was really easy and friendly. I made an online appointment and they were ready to go when I got there. They took all my measurements and it was all super easy. They had me try on a couple of pants and jackets to see which size I preferred and even had me try on the shoes I'll be wearing to make sure the size it okay. Really easy process and hopefully everything goes well when I pick up the tux out of state and I'll be able to keep this as a positive review. read more

The reviews are right...TERRIBLE customer service. We weren't greeted, spoken to, or even acknowledged, and my fiancée even went into the fitting room to try on a suit...which we had to navigate finding on our own. Interestingly, while we were in here another customer was getting loud and complaining because he had been waiting at the cash register for help for a longgggg while, which just spoke to our situation. Funny enough (what seemed to be the manager) was casually strolling around the store while there was a line at the register. One customer in line even went up to a sales clerk and asked if he could be checked out. Several workers available and a lack of urgency to help us. The store wasn't insanely busy either! The staff is great and friendly, but they are extremely under staffed. I waited about a half hour )or so) to get fitted for a suit. Because they were so busy I felt rushed during the process, which is understandable. I picked up the suit, it was not delivered in a bag, just a suit on hangers, I tried the suit on waited to talk with some one about minor things, but didn't get the chance. After 15 of waiting I just left. Then wearing the suit for the first time a couple weeks later, the pant pants SPLIT the first time I was wearing them. The seam under where the belt is worn tore! The pants were loose; one of the things I was going to have them adjust when I picked the suit of, but didn't. So it was a snug fit, or being to active tear. I took the suit back in, they took care of it, leaving it there for a few days. But again dropping off the torn pants and picking them up, no time was available to acknowledge that these pants were not sewn properly and ripped, at an event, after wearing them for 1 hour. They gave the pants back unpressed and uncovered on a hanger. This experience after them doing a well below average job on 2 weddings I was in made sure this will be my last time going here. Again the staff was nice and knowledgeable, just to busy to take time with anyone. read more

In the last 25 years I have spent tens of thousands of dollars here on dress clothes and rentals. Today, I would have spent a minimum of $500. Instead I spent $0. After having serious issues at the Reston location I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service I received here. I was assisted by Freddie and Rosalind who were both shocked by the issues I was having and extremely happy to help me resolve them. Long story short the Reston location failed to order my groomsman suit, lied to me about it, and then tried to replace it with a very different looking suit. Freddie pulled the swatch from my custom suit order and was able to locate a near perfect match in the store ... in my size! It seems too good to be true but Freddie was able to find a blue suit that matched perfectly with the other groomsman suits - if you know how blue suits work this seems impossible. Luck aside, it was nice to talk to someone from Men's Wearhouse in person who didn't continually try to mislead me. read more

I ended up received a quality suit ant a great price! Although two other Men's Wearhouses are closer to me, I will drive the extra time to come here. This was my third trip to Men's Wearhouse in the last couple years. I bought a suit here last year to wear to my company's annual Enterprise Sales Conference Award Ceremony & Dinner. I pulled the suit out this evening to try it on - knowing that I've lost a lot of weight. As I thought - it did not even come close to fitting. So I took the suit back to Men's Wearhouse - thinking they might be able to alter it. I was hoping my favorite Wardrobe Consultant - Blaise Terry would be on hand. Blaise is this really cool, elderly African American gentleman. As luck would have it - he was still in the store. I overheard him telling a colleague that his shift ended at 7:00 pm - so I apologized profusely for keeping him past his shift. He laughed and told me I was not supposed to hear that - but that he wanted to take care of me since I came in looking for him. He is extremely service-oriented and has been all the times I've been in to see him. I tried on the pants for him and the Tailor who does the alterations - the talented, lovely, and beautiful Peristera Spyropoulou. She also made me try on the suit coat. She told me there was no way she could alter them and make them look good. The coat was a size 52 and the pants were a 42. I looked like I was wearing a tent! I had dropped to a size 48 in the coat and a borderline 38/39 in the waist. Blaise was pretty funny - he kept going on and on about how he could not believe how much weight I had lost. So I bought a new suit. The coat fit perfectly without alteration - the pants needed alteration - and they promised me the pants by next Saturday - which is faster than the sign in the store indicated (I leave for California next Monday and needed them by next Sunday at the latest). Blaise set me up with a very nice suit that was not overly expensive - we discussed the fact that my weight loss was continuing and that I would be losing another 20-30 lbs. He also set me up with a dress shirt, a gorgeous red power tie, and a new belt. When Blaise went to ring me up - he informed me that there was a $50 credit/coupon in the system for me to use, so I got a few bucks off the whole kit and kaboodle. Blaise is really cool - I highly recommend him for anyone that needs a suit or to be fitted for men's clothing! Anyone want to buy a nice suit that has only been worn once? :-) read more

Worst experience buying a suit I have ever had in my entire life. When my good friend who is a regular customer there recommended the place he did so with a word of caution. He said to not let the salesmen or women do any of your measurements because they will get it wrong every time. He said to go straight to the lead tailor, Rula, and she would nail it. Apparently he made three separate trips there and the salespeople got his measurements wrong every time and Rula finally came in and saved the day. Now he knows she has his measurements in the computer so he goes straight to her. Anyway, I should have taken his advice because Rula was off the day I showed up but I decided to risk it. Worst decision I have ever made. I won't go into all the details, but I have worked with mattress salespeople that are more honest that this crew, but the people here are just dressed better. Do yourself a favor and go to the other company they own, Joseph A Bank or Brooks Brothers and avoid this place. read more

Besides being inconsiderate, employees are placed on the sales floor having no idea what they are doing nor do they know anything about how to fit clothes. Not do they know anything about how rental suits are priced. I traveled across country to help my son get fitted for his prom suit. While inquiring about buying or renting a suit I was told we needed to make an appt. With only two other groups of customers In the entire store, I simple asked how much to rent, no direct or indirect answer was even offered. I could go on with the lack of effort and ability to answer simple questions, instead I will simple suggest, GO ELSEWHERE. They greeted me when I walked in and offered to help me pick out a shirt and then even wrapped it up for me which they don't normally do since I had to go meet my family afterwards. Absolutely horrible. I have always been a fan of the customer service and the personal touch. Always have had the best care and attention. Today we went in and we were ready to spend lots of money to upgrade my husband's wardrobe. The individual who was "helping" us smelled terribly, was rude, and listened to nothing that we wanted. We did not want slim fit yet that is all he brought us, I requested brown shoes to try on with one pair of pants and he brought us black. We walked out and wow....... He asked if I knew my neck size and I said that I wasn't certain because I had put on weight. He said he would measure it if I found shirts that I liked and went back to his I pad. Not sure of their opening time. Raining cold weather 9:25 am. Five minutes before opening I ran up to the door. Tom opened the door for me instead of waiting 5 minute to the official opening of the store. He asked what brings you in? Wedding later in the day none of my suits at home fit well. I could make due but figured I see what you have on hand. Tom asked what time is the wedding. 4pm. I got you covered. Twenty five minutes later I walked out the door with a altered suit ready for the wedding. Also picked up two sports coats. Hats off to the seamstress in altering the pants while I picked out the sports jacket. Special thanks to Tom for opening early and understanding why and what kind of suit I wanted. First Impression: Updated, tidy, good # of selections, well-groomed staff. For what?: To purchase a custom suit for my fiancé's best man. The other Mens Warehouse we've been to had less of a good first impression, so we were relieved to see a tidy, less chaotic store that still had a lot of customers and better customer service. It was 6:30pm on a Thursday and it was average-busy for the amount of staff there. Staff members were cleaning and making their store look presentable - Good Job! We were quickly greeted and the man who helped us gave us his undivided attention. We had been to other Mens Warehouse locations before, so we already knew what we wanted and how we wanted it (which made the process much easier). He smiled a lot too, which was nice to see - especially because this was something to be excited about. The best man chose his suit colors, filled out paper work, got fitted, and made his purchase fairly quickly. I say we were there for about an hour - Pretty good timing. One thing to note... that was a bit of a turn-off: The seamstress did not look approachable. She got measurements for the best man as he was trying on the suit, but she threw down her chalk and ruler (like she was fed up) and seemed rude to the sales associate (maybe manager) who was helping us - Not Cool! While she was there, I asked the best man if he was going to wear a watch, because if he decided to, then one arm sleeve might need to be adjusted to fit the watch (I learned this from past suit try-ons). The question wasn't directed to her, but she gave me the stink eye. Yikes. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that MAYBE she had a bad day... but still... customers might not appreciate that. Went into this establishment earlier today with my fiancé to finalize the tuxedo rentals for our upcoming wedding in the fall. We walked around for a few before anyone acknowledged us but once we were approached, we were greeted by a gentleman name Carlos. Carlos got my son fitted for his tux, answered all of our questions and also went above and beyond with the service he provided us with. We hope the process of picking up the tuxedos in October goes as smooth as things did today with the help of Carlos. read more

I came here for a wedding rental. I was told they can do alterations to make it fit better. On pickup day, the suit didn't fit, even though they took measurements. They said they can't do alterations in time for the event without knowing when the event day was. I said don't worry, the event is in 2 days. Then they said the alteration that I need can't be done because it's a rental. I asked if they can order a new suit because they told me I could overnight it. Now, it turns out they can't overnight -!: they don't have any other suit to try on that's one size bigger. I said I can't cross my arms and they said don't worry just shake hands at the wedding. I paid over $300 for this rental and it doesn't fit and they can't do anything. The guy was on his phone the entire time I was talking to him. Every question I asked he said "don't worry it's just for a few hours, looks good". WTF! read more
