Up front with their paperwork fee which was an acceptable amount unlike another dealership that sprung a $4k 'fee' on us. After agreeing to the purchase but before paying I mentioned a small vibration when driving. They took the car in and balances the wheels for us. Before we picked it up they detailed it again. Had an issue with the second key, called and talked to them about it and they suggested contacting the manufacturer and Conestoga would cover any replacement needed. Ended up just being a mixup and they made it right but it was reassuring for them to say they would make it right with no hesitation. A+, great people and would deal with them again.

Don't get to do it everyday,but boy, such a review should carry some weight! After trying to negotiate on a used 2009 GTI at Autohaus, I found the identical car- with frighteningly identical mileage- for sale at Conestoga. A friend had spoken highly of Conestoga, so I went out to drive it with no reservations. Mel was fantastic in letting me take the car for a few test drives, including one to my mechanic, who gave the car an enthusiastic "thumbs up", with the comment that there are few dealers in Ephrata who he would be unafraid to purchase from, and Conestoga Motors was one of them. Two days later, the car is in my driveway. Throughout the process, Mel worked on me with a few minor issues. More importantly, Mel showed sincerity in standing behind his car, and I have no doubt that he will resolve any issues that crop up with it. As he told me, "we don't see ourselves as used car salesmen...we are men who have cars to sell". Yes. The price was extremely fair...much better than the cost of the evil twin at Autohaus by over $1500, and was a "great price" rating according to cargurus.com. Well worth the 2 hour round trip through Amish country to get the work taken care of right. The car drives like its brand new again. They needed to keep my car overnight (huge inconvienence) because they didn't have a hose in stock (Really?) They then installed a new hose for $133 and performed a coolant flush for $179. There was an unexplained coolant conditioner fee of $39. Then after paying $475, I went out to check the car and they had installed the new hose with the non-Toyota universal clamps! Apparently, the service writer didn't know that clamps had to be ordered separately. I am beyond frustrated with lack of communication between the service writer and the techs and for the excessive costs for minor service. All would have been OK if they had done the repair correctly, now I have to bring it back another time, or take it somewhere else to be fixed correctly. Bottom line, if you're not in warranty, find another place to take your car.

Bennett really dropped the ball. They think they might be able to order one in a month or so. If I could give them a zero I would. This is not the first time that this has happened with Bennett failing to secure a car that they said was available.

They charged me 2200 dollars and said it was fixed. It wasn't. When they took it back the second time, they got it into an accident. Yes, they repaired the damage caused by the accident, but we all know how the system works when you go to trade in your car: "There was an accident reported against the vehicle, so we had to lower the trade-in value." Well, Piazza Mazda of Reading wont even acknowledge this fact when I ask for some form of compensation for the diminished value. Further, they still never fixed the vibration issue. It is still there. So, not only did they devalue my vehicle but they charged me 2200 dollars for fixing a problem that is still there. And when I escalated the issue, no one wanted to be bothered. So, take this as a warning. STAY AWAY from the Mazda brand and especially Piazza Mazda of Reading. They don't care about their customers and when it matters most they aren't going to do more than the minimum. They will upsell you every time you take it in for service. They will overcharge for everything. If they get your car into an accident, they will shrug and say "it happens" (that was literally what I was told while talking to the dealership manager, as I inspected the damage done to my vehicle). They feel it is ok to not compensate the customer fully for the damage they cause (they just repair it and hope the customer goes away). This is a warning. Stay away. Go purchase a car from a different company that values their customers, because Piazza Mazda of Reading doesn't.

Unfortunately, for the first 2 months, we had little to no rain, then, a series of monsoons and that's when I discovered that this vehicle had water issues. I began investigating in the issue and that's when I discovered these cracks in the rain gutter. Of course the dealer wants no part in it, as they don't cover water issues in their warranty, so now it's on me. A word of advice to anyone buying a vehicle off this lot, take the vehicle to the car wash first to simulate a wet season. Now, I'm left to make the repairs out of my own pocket and if I would have known this prior to purchasing, I would have asked for less money. It's a shame because it drives really nice and I really enjoy it. I give a one star because I feel as if this dealer just sells cars and doesn't actually look into what they're selling, not much different than Facebook marketplace. I mentioned a hood noise prior to buying it, they did not fix it and stated that they didn't hear anything when the noise was very obvious when going over any kind of bump. Turned out to be a noisy hood latch, which is a common issue on Xterras, easy fix. There was also a knick in the windshield on the passenger side that I did not notice until I had a passenger. I let those things slide because hood latches are easy to replace and a knick can be repaired free with insurance, but the roof issue was the final nail in the coffin. Typically, I buy from trusted dealers because of issues like this, but I really wanted an Xterra for travel and this is what I have to deal with now. The worst part is that it looks like it was previously repaired, but this was not disclosed to me at purchase. I should have trusted my gut and waited for a trusted dealer to have one, this'll be the last time I buy a vehicle off a lot like this. If you absolutely have to buy a vehicle off this lot, go the extra mile with your inspection.
