There were more gifts near the entrance to the store that were interesting. They had water bottles shaped like fruits. They stood up however the beverage would get warm quickly in the plastic shape. For many years now, I have enjoyed shopping at Kohl's stores. The Kohl's Desert Ridge store is one of the two nearby Kohl's stores to wear I live and as such, one of the two Kohl's stores I frequent. The store has great products you can get for yourself, your home, your family, or gifts for others. They have apparel, shoes, accessories for women, men, and children, along with home products, small electrics, bedding, luggage, and more. They have national brands you know (and some you don't know). I have shopped at this location using coupons as well as made purchases online and picked it up in store. The associates in the store have always been helpful to me, and they have gone above and beyond by answering questions that I should already know the answer. They have a great pick-up system where you can save on shipping charges and avoid delivery wait times. They also often offer "Get $10 in Kohl's Cash when you spend $50" and even better deals around Black Friday shopping. This location's hours are Sundays from 9 AM to 8 PM and every other day from 9 AM to 9 PM. The store services include in-store pickup, Wifi enabled, Amazon Returns outpost, and Energy Star. Store features include Draper James, Sephora, Little Co., and Kids Room Shop. If you go to their website (https://www.kohls.com), you can find items for sale, clearance items, a baby registry, a link to the Kohl's Card, and coupons. Having a combination of the Kohl's Card and the rewards card will save you a lot over the year. Discounts can even be applied on sales items, and you receive a dollar-off coupon ($5-10) each year for your birthday. There are very few places I can get so much for so little thanks to the promotions, coupons, discounts, and even all of this tied to clearance or sales prices. I sometimes even wonder how Kohl's make money, but I won't question that when I get a surprise 40% off coupon via e-mail or a 30% off coupon and an extra $5-10 off coupon in the mail. I can't lie. I am not typically a fan of Kohls. They never have anything I love and prices are ridiculous for many of their items. I was in the area shopping and decided to check it out. This location is quite large and was well stocked with many items my kohls doesn't offer. It includes a Sephora of course which seems to be the norm these days. I was able to find a couple things and was in and out. The location was clean. My only complaint besides at the register I walked by multiple employees who couldn't even seem to manage a hello. read more

This location is a favorite stop when at Desert Ridge and I rarely leave without something. Their plus size women's clothing is becoming a favorite as I think their manufacturers are actually looking at and listening to those of us who are more than a size 6. (We really don't need armholes on blouses and dresses that are so large your bra is very visible!). sales have been worthwhile and I keep finding sandals that i cannot live without. I am so disappointed. I spent 2 hours in this store tonight: I canceled my trip to AT Home & My trip back to target: I spent just a little over two hours or more filling two carts. I have a 200$ gift card. I ended up staying till closing, where 10 mins till I started being harassed and rushed. I have worked in retail for over a decade. As I listen to the manager feed me bullshit lies about the register closing down automatically (total lie) and how I must rush to to front. That I have the option of putting everything I picked out for the last two hours on hold till tomorrow morning. I couldn't believe I was being treated this way with two carts full of merchandise. Worse case all the manager had to do was call the help desk and inform them of the circumstances. THERE is absolutely no reason what so every why I the merch I waisted 2 hours of my night while every store closed, shouldn't be sitting in the car with me. I have spent a decade of my life working in fashion retail, tonight the closing manager at kholes had one goal. It wasn't to make a closing final sale, it definitely wasn't to leave a lasting impression on a costumer making them what to come back and shop. (Her lasting impression had the opposite effect) The goal was to get the hell out of the store as fast as she could. I doubt she even recovered: the store was a huge mess: For a location that seems to not profit as much as the surrounding stores in tHe plaza you'd think every dollar would count. This is the number one problem with store locations today and they keep it a secret from corporate: They don't get a shit about sales, making LY or YTD. As long as their getting paid why should they care: (my retail days, def American eagle, I would keep the store open an extra hour in hopes that someone would walk in and purchase enough for me to make LY) today... most store managers don't even know what LY, YTD, KPI, ADS, Conversion is, I wasn't corporate to contact me. So disappointed. Forgot to pack a strapless bra for a dress I wanted to wear, so when I saw Kohl's within walking distance from the hotel, I was ecstatic. However, I was there on a Sunday, around lunch time, and there wasn't much help. I was in the bra section forever looking back and forth for a strapless. For whatever reason, they have enormous bras work extra support and only two strapless bras. I couldn't find one in the color I wanted. There was only one my size, so I had no choice but to buy that white one. Too bad I didn't find two because there ass a BOGO sale going on. When I got to the register, there was a lady complaining about discounts and coupons and her rewards number. Another associate came across from the other side of the store to help me since I was waiting so long. I was thankful for that. After I checked out, I hung around the entrance waiting for my Uber to pick me up. That's when I saw three racks on wheels full of bras, many of which were strapless! Ugh. Uber was on its way and I found one in the color I wanted- nude. It was too late. And I wondered why this rack had not been wheeled over to the bra section. That would've been helpful for me. While waiting for uber, the slow complaining lady finished checking out and left the store. When she passed through the metal detector, the alarm went off. She just kept walking! I turned to the lady at the register, who made eye contact with me and then glanced away, continuing to fold returned clothes. I was shocked. Uber arrived and I left. That night, I grabbed my dress and went to put on the new strapless bra and it still had the theft prevention device on it!!!!!! I was so mad. I didn't have the time to go back to Kohl's, nor did I want to pay another $6.51 there and $6.51 back in uber fees. So I used a pair of scissors to make a hole in the bra to get the device off. I was so upset about having to ruin it, I took the bra back to Kohl's the following day. She apologized and asked if I wanted to exchange it. I refused the exchange because they had such lack of product. I feel sorry for the complaining lady that triggered the alarm system but I wonder why I had not? It certainly went off when I came to return my item. Thankfully, I received a prompt return and an apology. But buyer beware. Check all your items before you leave because the staff there are careless. read more

I went to the Desert Ridge location to pick up a Food Network Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Sizzle Pan Set. I ordered and paid for it online. While there, I perused the men's department and the picture frames. After making my selections and walking around the store to locate customer service (I haven't been to this location since they remodeled and moved customer service to the front)--I discovered customer service was by one of the entrances of which I did not enter through those doors- hence why I missed where it located. A nice employee assisted me at the customer service counter and made the transaction of picking up the item I ordered very pleasant. The next employee I came into contact with was Juli at the check out registers. She was pleasant, friendly, and customer service orientated. I enjoyed interacting with her. She inquired if I had a Kohl's Card and I said no. She asked if I wanted to apply and I said yes. She walked me through the entire process and it went smoothly. She explained the benefits of having a Kohl's card: Kohl's cash and the notifications I would receive. In addition, I received an additional 20% off my purchase that I selected in the store. It was a huge savings because they were already on sale. This Kohl's has customer friendly employees. I need to mention that after entering the store, I was greeted by another nice employee in the men's department. I believe that this location of Kohl's is geared toward customer service. It made me feel welcome and I would rather shop here than at the competitors because the employees at Kohl's seem genuinely interested in providing that satisfying customer experience that so many large retailers have forgotten. I hate this store, especially this location. I hate it because I go in to buy one thing and I come out with a bag full of stuff! Today for example, I went in to buy a few accessories I need for a dress I am wearing to an event I am attending in about a week. Easy right?. Nope. Is customer service the norm everywhere you go?... No. Is it a joy when you find it?... Yes! That's actually their motto... Yes! This is the Kohls I've been going for years. Never nothing to write home about. Which is actually good. It means no major complaint and for sure no major praise. But I think is time to just give them a little bit of due. The store is always clean. They rarely give you any issues at return and they're getting much better at not cramming 200 pieces of clothing in one rack. I've seen improvements, but today what I saw was actually great quality people, giving real solutions to a problem and a serious concern... And that's when the review is worth the write! Are there issues? yes. Maybe many. But when they care, and say, "Hey! Let's go fix it!" that's when they change the game! They know what the issues are, and just like the complaints about the full racks got fixed, everything else would get fixed and they just get more lean and mean. That's how you get better. And that's how you make it thru all the years. They use their radios, they communicate, they go to work. Kohl's is by far my favorite store to shop for clothes. Depending on the day or time period of the year that you shop, there are sometimes some killer deals to be had. Sometimes the staff is not all that friendly, but today my cashier Rae was awesome and very helpful. I got all kinds of discounts and saved all kinds of money after scratching off some silly coupon and then earned $ 75 bucks cash for my next visit. Kohl's Department Store is humongo. It has everything from jewelry to clothes to picture frames to shower curtains. That's what makes Kohl's such a good place to shop when you have to buy a lot of gifts for a few different people- you can usually get everything in one trip. You can get some pretty good deals at Kohl's, but watch the register closely when you're checking out. I've been a few times when the sale price didn't register, which would have made the items I bought not such a good deal if I hadn't of caught it. Check the shoe department too. You can find some pretty cute shoes at decent prices if you catch them on the right day. I know they even have a makeup department now- although I haven't purchased anything from it yet. On Monday February 6, we went into the store to order our coming soon baby stroller and car seat. We purchased the Britax BAgile & Be Safe 2015 travel system. Had it delivered two days later. Yesterday I decided to open the packages just to make sure that everything was in the box. To our SURPRISE, everything was obviously used. The car seat tho, was peed and stained. The smell was so strong! And it was super yellow! We called Customer service who basically said to take it to any store for a refund. OBVIOUSLY! Who would keep anything like this after paying $200 plus. We went into the store and the manager was EXTREMELY helpful. This review isn't about this location but more about KOHLS in general. If I would have waited until I actually had my baby, I would be left without a car seat and stroller to use for my son. How does a nationwide store "accidentally" sent out something like this to a customer. ? To top it off, the customer service rep said she would write a report and email me details as soon as we hung up. When I asked for her name multiple times. She just said that it would be in the report. Never got an email. Said I would get a $20 discount! This isn't a matter of a discount. It's about knowing that you are providing the best products for your customers. Which we trust that we will get what we pay for. Not some "damaged" product that accidentally got sent out. I'll be honest, I've only been a kohls customer for like TWO WEEKS. First it was a pair of flats for my daughter that fell apart with just one day of wearing them. I wasn't going to say anything about that since they were fairly cheap. But the stroller and car seat is unacceptable. Tell me please why I should give Kohl's another chance?!
