Not shopping here or at any other Kohl's location again. After purchasing my items and heading out of the store, I was approached by a Loss Prevention employee accusing me and asking me exactly where I had left an item I tried on. I didn't really know why he was asking me because....seriously? He thought I had stolen something because I left it in the dressing room like the majority of customers do? I had taken that specific item into the dressing room and didn't want it, so I left it in the stall. I have no idea what I specifically did to provoke Loss Prevention to think that I had stolen the item. Customers leave unwanted clothing in the dressing rooms all the time. This specific employee kept asking me of the exact dressing room and location I had left the item in, which I thought was completely rude and unnecessary. I showed him the inside of my purse and bags, and of course nothing was found because I didn't steal anything! I was obviously upset and filed a complaint with the store manager soon after. I received a sincere apology from the manager but absolutely nothing from the Loss Prevention employee who walked back into the store with his walkie-talkie like it was nothing. I appreciated the apology from the manager, but if I am going to be approached and accused every time I don't consciously take an item out of the dressing room for security cameras to see, then Kohl's is no longer receiving my business/money. Very quiet, but there wasn't a huge line for the Amazon drop off area. I usually go to my local kohl's for any Amazon drop offs but this one was on the way. It must not get very busy but it was nice change not having to wait in a line. Highly recommend if your in a rush. read more

I had read Priscilla's warning (11/19/2017) about slow service with Amazon returns but, as I had already indicated to Amazon Kohl's as my choice for returning my package, I went, hoping that maybe I'd get someone from a different shift and have better luck. Well, for whatever reason, the return was easier and simpler than I had imagined. A quick scan, their asking me why I was returning the item -- I was out in 2 minutes. This was just a one-time experience but I do hope that Kohl's is able to provide this kind of service most if not every time. read more

I am an ongoing customer of the Rossmoor Kohl's that I have used for many years. As being a physically challenged person who uses a wheelchair, I use this store many times because the aisles are very accommodating to be able to move throughout the store. I am not being hindered by inability to go through narrow aisles or stopped to proceed in one direction for what I am looking for without having be stopped due items In the aisles. I have been to other Kohl's locations that frustrate me because management hasn't laid out the dimensions properly for various size wheelchair, scooters or walkers required by ADA stipulations. This store is near Leisure World, Seal Beach,CA that has a population of 10,000 people in the retirement community. So it is a plus to shop at the Rossmoor Kohl's to enjoy the positive experience & I openly share to my friends & neighbors how I feel! holy. shit. i just bought $650 worth of clothing for $200. No tax day (wtf! ... awesome) 40%-60% off practically everything in the store 15% off everything coupon in the mail 20% off after signing up for a credit card (which i didnt have to use and will promptly cancel) i high fived my friend at the register. most items i bought were appropriate for work or for going out: a few quality tank tops a white blouse a vera wang t-shirt cute dress gray work pants that fit really well snakeskin leggings (this is the one that is not so much for the office) then there was a vera wang purse. then the undergarments: about 8... yes EIGHT bra/underwear sets grand total, $200. Total savings, $445. A lot of the stuff i liked was from Candies (ie pretty much all of the underwear and the snakeskin leggings). The Vera Wang stuff seems like it would be a better fit for more the more conservative types but i did like the handbags from that line. i wouldnt have bought anything here that wasnt on sale. the quality is ok for most of the stuff (though some of the shirts look good on the hanger but look like crap on) but the merchandise isnt as cheap as i expected it to be. Most tank tops and blouses were $36. Those are not discount store prices, they are Nordstrom prices. Ok maybe just Macy's prices. anyway, i found that everything was organized, and during my multiple trips to the fitting rooms i never had to wait in line. i've heard this chain compared to TJ Maxx, but its definitely a step up in my oinion. read more

About 10 years ago I had a passionate affair with Kohl's. Since then, things just haven't been the same. The clothes aren't fun and hip anymore. The quality has degenerated substantially. Something is just amiss at that place. Even the coupons/discounts/sales don't draw me in. It's one of those things I can't put my finger on (kind of like the Bye Bye birdie add from Season 3 of Mad Men). read more

Now that I have lost some weight, the clothing offered at Kohl's seems a bit matronly. Still, they have killer sales and I buy practically all of my towels and kitchen goods here. They now carry Dana Buchman, which I love as well as coordinating jewelry. My husband likes the vintage feel of Hang Ten, so I stop here to pick up his surf shirts. My kids don't like the clothing styles offered at Kohl's, but they will wear Van's or Converse shoes Kohl's stocks. Overall, Kohl's is a little better than Mervyn's or Penney's but not quite as good as Macy's or Nordstrom. This Kohl's is cleaner than the one near my Mom's house in Lakewood, but maybe it is because the area is a bit more upscale. read more

This last visit however, I was looking for lipsticks and everytime I looked for a color that I really liked after trying on, Butter London, Christy Brinkley and Lorac were all out. They really need to restock their makeup. I also looked for 514 jeans for my husband and on both units they did not have his size. So i went home without being able to purchase anything. read more

This is my local Kohls and I will NEVER go into this location again. Recently my son had a baptism and received a lot of clothes as gifts that were too big. I went into this kohls to exchange for a different size spent some time at Kohls trying to find the right size. I went to the customer service counter with my exchange in the bag and my new stuff I was exchanging for and after the cashier rang up the price and confirmed everything matched, ($12 may I add) he received a call form Loss Prevention telling him to confirm the tags are the ones that belong to the clothes. First off I never went into the fitting room so Im sure we were being watched the whole time and Second of all are you telling the employee that he's not doing his job? I have never EVER been accused of this before, shortly after we are completing the exchange a gentleman Im sure is loss prevention kept walking by and checking us out (My husband and my 10 month son) this is just rude and at this point Im feeling harrassed. I would like to know first of all what made him think we were stealing/changing tags?! I then after asked to speak to the manager which apologized and assured I would be getting a call from the store manager. Im actually thinking of calling there corporate to let them know what kind of retail store this is. read more

I went to the Jewlery department to get assistance in setting the time on a watch of which was purchased at the Seal Beach Kohl's. There were no other customers. The associate gave no asistance, made no attempt at all to help. All the associate did was to place the watch back into the box and stated that she could not help me. read more

My whole family is a fan of this Kohl's. The store is clean and they have a nice selection of clothes and shoes. Parking is ample. I have been pleased with the customer service too. My only suggestion would be to have more employees working the floor. Today I was there with my mother-in-law and it would have been nice to have someone help us find what we were looking for. There are always deals to be found. A nice shopper gave us a 20% off coupon too! We will be back soon I'm sure. read more

The service at this Kohl's has deteriorated to the point that I am going to take my business to a different location (not that it matters in the corporate scheme of things, but whatever). I asked about expired Kohl's cash at the Bella Terra location and was cheerfully told that expired cash was accepted. I had Kohl's cash yesterday at this location, not knowing it was expired, until the cashier said to me in a condescending tone, "This is expired, but we'll take it." This probably makes the third time I've felt like punching a cashier at this location - three strikes, and I'm out. read more

Kohl's always surprises me from the standpoint that I always seem to find something in the shop that I wasn't looking for. The sales offer good deals, but you really need to join their free rewards programs to get greater deals. Your cell phone will die once you walk into the store, so you may want to turn it on airplane mode to save your battery. read more

Store is guide gm huge and has plenty of parking outside. Alot of sales on the daily and store associates and always friendly and helpful. The only negative about the store is that it's super messy and the fitting rooms need to be cleaned out more often. read more

I went to drop off an Amazon return this morning at 9:30, and the rep at the desk was so kind and efficient! I wish I had gotten her name. People like her give me hope for humanity. I've never been to this Kohl's before, but it was my first Amazon return here, and the desk is situated immediately right of the doors when you come in. Decent clothes and affordable. Fairly new and very clean store. I really like their Kohl bucks which basically gives you real cash for purchasing items. The manager here is really good and clearly cares about his store, so if you have any issues, he will give good support to get matters resolved. The selection is good and they have nice appliances as well. Location is nice if you want to shop and get a bite to eat afterwards. There is In-n-Out, Chipotle, Rubios across the street, Macaroni Grill, Islands, etc. The entire shopping area is new and clean. Overall, a very nice experience read more

DO NOT GET A KOHLS CREDIT CARD. THEY ARE THIEVES. My husband and I each had a card. I paid them, off and cancelled the accounts in August 2014. In September, they deducted a payment for each of our account. ON CANCELLED ACCOUNTS WITH ZERO BALANCES. After I called and complained, they sent us each a refund check. I also made sure all our checking account information was removed from the online payment screen. So what happens yesterday...THEY STOLE ANOTHER PAYMENT FROM OUR CHECKING ACCOUNT FOR EACH OF OUR CREDIT CARD ACCOUNTS! There is no checking account information on our accounts to use. They are pulling checking account information that they HAD used for previous payments. THEY ARE THIEVES AND WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. This must be a common occurrence since they did this TWICE, TWO MONTHS IN A ROW on both of our account. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT KOHLS AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE ALL MY FRIENDS ANC FAMILY KNOW. I was shopping with my 4 year old daughter and spent over $100 dollars and I didn't see a black shirt hanging in the black shopping cart and I was grabbed by loss prevention. Clearly I didn't see the $10 shirt yet I was escorted to the back office. I asked to speak with the store manager and the LP guy said no. It's not going to change anything... I did not want to argue with him in front of my daughter. Spend more money training your employees on customer service and less on treating your customers like criminals. i'm a so-so fan of kohl's, but after yesterday i might be a bigger fan. i needed to look for a dress to wear to a particular event...not too dressy but nice. through work, i had a coupon that would get me an extra 15% off any purchase made during the specified days, yesterday being the last day. so i go, and since it's fairly early, it wasn't too crowded at all. i found a few things to try on and the dress, skirt, and purse i ended up buying were all 50% off and i got an extra 15% off that. i agree with Julie T...don't buy anything at regular price at Kohl's because it'll probably be on sale soon enough. i'll have to make it a point to go more often and spend more time browing the clearance racks. read more
