Very clean, very organized, unless you're shopping in the junior section. The junior section was very unorganized and the clothes were everywhere. The staff is usually nice but sometimes they can be rude. I understand, they work in retail. Yet, you work in retail, you should understand how to act towards customers. For example, instead of rolling your eyes when someone has a question, doing your job and answering the question would be the best solution. I went into the store yesterday to return merchandise I purchased 2 weeks ago online using my Kohl's/CapitalOne charge card. The woman at the return desk said the purchase was made with a merchandise credit (it wasn't) and refused to refund purchase price to my credit card. I'm done with Kohl's and CapitalOne. read more

I used to love shopping at Kohls, great store, great pricing, and great perks for having a Kohl Charge Card. Open the new age of Kohls Capital One - new credit card associated with a big bank where not only do you "have" to reactivate a card I've had since 2000, but also "have" to go into the Capital One credit card site to make payments. I did not ask for a new card nor authorize Kohls to provide my personal and financial information to Capital One. I certainly did not authorize Kohls to give my personal banking information to Capital One for payment processing. I am floored that Kohls thought this was ok and this is a protocol breach of personal information being provided to a 3rd party company which is illegal. Goodbye Kohls, I will no longer use your stores for my personal, holiday and gift shopping if you have no ethics and provide my personal information to a 3rd party without my expressed authorization. read more

Things have changed. No staff and get the feeling this location will be closing soon! Long lines and only one register open. It's the holiday but still need to show value and appreciation for customers wanting to spend money. My time is valuable and 20 mins to get to customer service to pay bill and then another 20 mins in line to buy a gift. Very sad!! read more

This company spends a huge amount on marketing to get me in the store. I go in the store with money to spend but I can't because they don't have what I want in my size. It also takes a while to find someone who can help you. So then they tell you they want you to buy on line. I don't want to buy pants on line. I want to try them on and feel the material. What's the point of having a huge store full of clothes if I can't find my size? Also, I used to buy jewelry at Kohls but now they have removed the jewelry counter and replaced it with Sephora. I like kohls. Really, I do. You can find some decent items. But this location seriously needs to work on their customer service skills. I get it, retail can blow. I've done it too (and I think everyone should at some point in their life. Let's face it, most people are dicks and need to learn how to act in public...but that's besides the point). I'm really not asking for much. A hello would be nice when I approach the counter. I walked up to the service counter and said hi, I'd like to get a price adjustment. And presented my receipt and coupon that I forgot when I made my original purchase. No hello, just a "what do you want me to do with this?" I once again said I'd like to get a price adjustment and I was looked at me like I had two heads. She had to have another associate do the transaction. Her badge said she had 9 years of service. Really? 9 years and you've never done a price adjustment? Step up your game, South Elgin Kohls. I think I'll stick with Charlestowne's location. That mall needs some patronage anyways. read more

I love the selection and prices at Kohl's. This particular store has got to be the most disorganized and messy store I have ever been to. Specifically, the men's department. Pants were in total disarray. Clearance was stuffed to the brim. It's no wonder, when half of it is on incorrect sized hangars with items virtually impossible to put back on the rack from being overcrowded. It might help to sell it if it was organized just a little. Very disappointed. Took too long to shop since pants of every sort were mixed throughout, the same brand/type on different shelves. I'm a big fan of Kohl's, especially this one. The manager is always around, making sure that things are running smoothly and efficiently. Great prices when they have the 30% off. I wish Nike was part of the discounted deals, but since they aren't, I purchase other brands. Great, well run store! read more

I was not sure the South Elgin Kohl's would have Columbia Lakeview II Low shoes and would have to order on line which I not a big fan of unless I can try on a shoe first to make sure it fits. To my surprise they had several of these shoes in various sizes. When I checkout the sale person was extremely friendly and made my 13 mile trip to this store a most enjoyable one read more

Yeah, this place can really work on there customer service. Besides the fact that this store was a mess and nothing is in the correct place, they did have more inventory than the Kohls by my house. I stopped here because my Kohls did not have the specific style jeans in my son's and my husbands size. After going through piles of disorganized jeans I did find them. Then, having the Kohls app on my phone and $10.00 to use in my YesToYou rewards I tried to use and the store would not accept. The app said to "use in store" click here. I did. The screen gave a bar code and said to access your YesToYou rewards, present this bar code. I did..but the cashier said that is to apply my purchase to reward. I showed her the app..the process and it said to access my $10.00 benefit, show this card. Nope...asked for the manager. This lady was RUDE...wouldn't even look at my phone to see what it said. She advised me that I must of used the reward..I am trying to show you my reward balance, and she would even look. She told me to go home and get the print out and bring it back. WHAT...I took me twenty minutes standing in line. I asked her to call and resolve and she refused saying the Kohls phone line would be too busy, that I would have to call. Really...I said I just want to access my rewards and she said I can NOT use the app to do it. That is simply not true and asked for another supervisor, the next one said it is an IT problem and they will not resolve it in store. Schaumburg Kohls is so much better. I did not enjoy my experience at Kohls in South Elgin because nothing was on the right rack. I was in the sportswear area. Kids, juniors, and adults clothes were all mixed together. Sizes and hangers and price tags were all mixed up. Brands were mixed making it harder to find our desired item. We ended up leaving about a half an hour later empty handed because it was too stressful. I did not enjoy my experience here. read more

I am so disappointed with Kohls!!! I have always loved this store but After my experience yesterday I will NEVER buy another thing from there again!! I purchased a pair of Nike gym shoes for my fiancé for Christmas they did not fit him so he took the gift receipt I had put in the box and returned them when the lady scanned the gift receipt she told him he would be getting a in store credit for 51 dollars and some change. Thank goodness I was with him at the time I knew I paid way more money than that and luckily I had the original receipt still in my wallet. I paid 64.99 no apologies no nothing!!! How dare kohls take advantage of people like that!!!!!! How many people do they get away with doing this to??? If they take money from every person who returns items with a gift receipt how much money are they making in a year? Shame on you Kohls for taking advantage of the people!
