The Khols here is great however the gal at Sephora on Thursday didn't seem to happy to have customers. We were interrupting her time on her cellphone. Shopping in Torrance, Los Angeles, California... My sister gave me a gift card for Kohl's. I thought that I could find a Shohei Ohtani shirt and maybe look at the Clearance racks. I also needed to use the clean restroom! This particular Kohl's is two floors of treasure hunting! Like some other locations, the restroom was upstairs near the greeting cards and luggage. I found some really cool Shohei Ohtani shirts... especially the child-sized ones. I did look at shoes, plushies, jewelry, kitchen appliances, seasonal items, and Snoopy merchandise. Wow... Kohl's has great stuff! I ended up getting a black denim jacket and a black blouse... both from the Clearance racks... yay! Too bad Kohl's is not in Hawaii. My family and I enjoy the Kohl's Cash. Kohls can be hit or miss at times. They have a great selection of clothes and shoes and other items. Shen they have a good sale you can score some good items. Some things are a bit overpriced at times for being at kohls. If you have coupons that's great or kohls cash they will make your shopping a bit better and save a bit. Their shoe department is great, they have great items. I was able to score some Nine West leather boots and they are comfy and was able to use a coupon during their Christmas sale. Love that they have an Amazon Return area and you get % off your shopping from Kohls. That's always a plus. They have some good items but you have to really look and spend some time searching. read more

I've passed by this place through the years without a visit. It was the Amazon product return service that got me through the door. Return your Amazon items (no need to wrap, package, or label) and they give you a percentage off coupon if you then buy something from the store that day. Add that to the daily deals Kohl's has going on, especially if you join their free program and it's a good deal (throw in some sale prices). The store is clean and well laid out and it stays stocked. There are two floors for your shopping pleasure. Clothing on the ground floor with household and other goodies upstairs. The staff is friendly and helpful. The checkout line can get long but they tend to open up more registers and things keep moving. read more

Bad experience. Several months ago went in to buy Activewear drawstring black pants. I bought one pair here and the same identical pair in Paso Robles Kohl's. I liked the fit and feel however black dye leaks out of the pants. Label said wash inside out. WELL WELL WELL. I have washed them over and over many times now. First experience was my white matelasse bedspread which wasn't cheap got stained black. Then the next thing was stained underwear. A few pairs that had to be thrown away. Also our white toilet seat. Every time I wear these pants dye leaks out. I itch all over from these pants. Especially the crotch area. It is disgusting. I looked for the receipt and can't find it. What a big hassle and a money pitt. All over some dumb black pants. I am tossing them for good as I have had it. Now I am short pants due to this experience and have to go out to another store. They always send 20% off coupons and promotions to me but i somehow am not too attracted. So last time I checked, their trial room was full of lint and probably not frequently sanitized either. I typically shop here about 3 times a month. I will not be returning to do any of my holiday shopping if the check-out process does not change. I waited way too long in line to do a return, and to pick up an online order. The beauty of kohl's used to be that you could pop in and out quickly. But now, with only 1 or 2 associates handling all returns, purchases, pickups and everything else, the wait it awful. To make things worse when I picked up my online order, the one and only associate who was working the front had to walk to a different part of the store to get my order. I heard the other customers in line complaining as well. I hate to see a wonderful store go down due to this awful new set-up. read more

This review is based on their online store pickup service. I placed an order the other day and saw that the item was available at this Torrance location. Within an hour, I received a text that it was ready and that I could park in one of their designated stalls and let them know when I arrived. The parking spaces were conveniently located close to the entrance and I texted to let them know my location. Within minutes a cheerful associate brought the item to the car and off we went. The new bank of cash registers, with only 1 or 2 people working them is awful!! Especially when they combine returns with purchases. Went to buy a belt in person to make sure the size was correct fitting, but their online and in store pricing were different. Said they can't price match their online pricing, so it would have to be ordered online. But when ordering online, it says it's not available at the store when I physically had it there in my hands. Most companies usually match their own or even competitors prices since everyone is wanting business right now but I guess KOHLs must be doing really good to stick to their in store pricing and not price match. This is my favorite Kohl's because it is the closest and has the best layout. I used to shop here nearly every weekend. Not so much now, and it looks as though others are also not shopping department stores in general. There were very few customers and no line at he registers. There used to always be long lines even outside of holidays. I enjoy browsing through the jewelry department. They sell both fine and costume jewelry. There is plenty of parking. As I mentioned, when the store used to do more business, I had to park further away from the entrance. Now days, you can park closer. As a Kohl's rewards member, which was free to join, after my purchase, I received a nice (automated) email from the store manager, who thanked me for shopping. Still a nice gesture. read more

Kohl's has been around a very long time. Generally, I've always been satisfied with everything I've bought there. over decades. Their sales are very good and you can't beat their prices. Here's the rub: it's about returns and their infamous "Koh'ls cash". You know the little bonus you get when you buy something...so they can keep you buying more! That can work for you....but only if you're happy with your purchase and don't want to return it. Then the Koh'ls cash becomes a big issue and you realize you're out at least $10. 95 or more, depending on how much "cash" they gave you at the time of your purchase. I returned a beautiful toaster oven air/fryer...just too large for my kitchen! In it's original packing and shipping box, my refund was reduced by the amount of Koh'ls cash they gave me at purchase. Yes, I didn't want the "cash", didn't use it and presented it at the time of the return. Not so fast! They deducted $10.95, real legal tender!, not phony money, from my return credit. After 1 hour, a "non existent" store manager, and some very stern sales associates, I called my credit card company to solve this minor problem for me. It wasn't worth the price of their admission to contact Kohl's!. It gets worse. The online customer service is particularly pathetic. You'll get an "off-shore" associate whose English isn't proficient enough to problem solve. So you'll get circular discussions until you are exhausted with the repetition trying to communicate something very simple. i burst a blood vessel over this. Don't do that! Just realize the "bargains" you get there include insults to your intelligence and may not be worth your time and energy. As the adage goes, "You get what you pay for!" Shop there if you must. Do spend that phony cash they give you, whether you want it or not. Just don't return anything and expect to be treated with respect. I spoke to her and she mentioned some crazy sale at Kohl's, and asked if it'd be too much trouble to drive her for a bit of shopping (If I didn't know any better, I'd say her daughters - one of them being my Mom - had her call to convince me to be their chauffer. I don't know why they do this, they're both capable of getting behind the wheel!) But turning down the family matriarch is a big no-no. So, I went to pick her up. There's nothing here and the staff are rude for no reason. I came to drop off an Amazon return before Kohl's closed. Apparently Amazon closes a whole hour before the rest of the store does. The only sign that indicates this is the sign they leave out to block off the Amazon corner when they're closed! Literally a waste of my time coming here. As I stood there trying to figure out how I wanted to proceed, this snarky employee sneered at me and was like "you need to come back during STORE hours." Well wasn't I already there during store hours??? I get we all have bad days, but wow I drove 20 minutes out of my way to make a return only to hear that I have to come back AGAIN. A little sympathy never hurt anybody, I'm just saying. Anyway I really can't wait for Kohl's as a corporation to close down. KOHL'S is one of the better affordable retail shopping sources. When there used to be Mervyn's and Montgomery Wards and now exists J.C. Penny's and Sears, Kohl's fills the void which both Target and Wal-Mart really can't or hasn't in that category. It's a great place to buy clothes for kids and growing children as well as affordable fashion for adults. The store is always nice and staff seem to be helpful and polite. They do coupon a lot and offer discounts to their credit card holders, so are making legitimate attempts to be competitive and earn their marketshare of the business in this sector. For the most part, it's organized and things are easy to find. Their strenghts are in their clothing, but they also carry a robust amount of women's accessories and a decent amount of housewares and some home goods. read more

My mother is older, and starting to experience memory lapses. And when she needs clothing items, I usually task my sister to take her shopping. On this one occasion, my mother and I were having lunch. She mentioned she needed to buy underwear. Since, Kohl's was down the block, I figured we'd simply pop in for a quick purchase. When we arrived at the appropriate department within the store, the choices must have been too overwhelming for my mother. She couldn't remember what size underwear she wore; and the women's sizing numbers meant nothing to me. I found a sales attendant nearby, and asked for a measuring tape. This lady was very nice. She started chatting with my mother, and helped my mom size and select appropriate product. Since we were already in the store, I encouraged my mom to browse. A pair of shoes on display caught her fancy. She didn't know her shoe size; neither did I. I was ready to randomly open boxes to find a pair that fit. Fortunately, a nearby floor attendant came and asked to help. She accurately determined my mom's shoe size by sight, and pulled the correct box from the end cap. To Kohl's Torrance management: Two individual associates, in two separate departments, really made things easier for me this trip. Both were pleasant and personable during our interaction. People do complain when they are unhappy with retail customer service. I think it fair that you should know when your team members perform well. I dropped off Amazon Return and there was a 25% off coupon. I wasn't planning on shopping, but coupon was influenced by the coupon you get when you drop off the box and thought about sneakers. I read the fine print, spent close to 30 minutes deciding on a pair of sneakers that fit, waited in line for 20 min, and cashier said my coupon didn't apply. Even though it wasn't on the coupon, Nike was excluded and apparently cashiers just know even though it isn't on coupon. They would not make an exception despite the fact it was not on the coupon. Kohl's was always the place you find awesome deals and double coupons. I find myself spending a lot more time shopping because of that. It is ironic that in COVID times where I want to limit time in public, this trip has made me decide it's better to stick with Amazon who has better customer service (and drop off returns at Kohl's) read more

A shoutout to the helpful, kind employees at this Kohl's where I recently shopped in the store in the women's department. I especially want to thank Madelene, an outstanding empoyee, who went out of her way to assist me in finding what I was looking for. She is obviously a very hard-working employee, as I observed her walking back and forth several times through the entire women's department, hanging up clothes that people left in the dressing room or had put back in the wrong place, and straightening out diplays, picking up hangers, etc. to make the department look so much better. She seemed to have a lot of pride in her work. I was trying to find a different size in one blouse that I really liked, and I was so grateful when she finally found it behind some other blouses, completely hidden from view. I haven't been to this Kohl's in a long time. The lines were awful and they never had enough cashiers. But a few months ago I went and they had new cash registers and more clerks. Today I went and there were 12 cash registers and two cashiers. One of which was having trouble with a customer. So as usual the only cashier went to help her rather than call the manager. Now we don't have any cashiers. She finally returned to her station and helped me. She was an unfriendly black lady. Never said hello and didn't say thank you. As I was leaving I looked and there were over 10 people in line and no one had called for back up. So I guess they have gone back to their old ways. I won't be back. read more

I have been a loyal Kohl's customer for over 20 years, I had been very happy with Kohl's Torrance, CA store until today. I am posting my own experience to warn all the Kohl's customers to stay away from this Kohl's store located at: 25375 Crenshaw Blvd, Torrance, CA 90505 The purpose of my visit to this store was to return two items I purchased previously. When I walked into the store, the customer service rep named JESSICA told me, "I'll be right with you." At the this time there was another customer with lots of items in her hands walked toward her as well. Jessica decided to check her out first even though there was nobody waiting in the line for purchases. Unfortunately I could not return anything at any of the 3 cashiers who only accepted purchases, so I waited patiently for the other customer to finish her checkout and ask lots of questions. Finally it was my turn, I asked Jessica why she accepted that customer for purchases there were three cashiers available to do the work, she said, "I called her to come to the Customer Service." So I asked her, "Last time when I had purchases, instead of waiting in a long line to pay, I came to you for purchases, you sent me back to the purchase line. Why is there a different treatment?" She said, "I called her before you walked in." That was not true! I walked to the counter at the same time the other woman did! At this time, the other customer came back and questioned me with an attitude, "What's wrong with you? Do you have any problem?" I told her, "Yes, I am having problem, it is my turn." While she was walking out, Jessica said to that woman in a very cheerful voice, "I am very sorry!" I could not believe what I heard, I wasn't treated fairly by the Customer Service staff Jessica and was humiliated by the other customer, but the Jessica apologized to the person who bullied/humiliated me?! Instead of apologizing to me, Jessica questioned me, "Are you having a bad day?" She humiliated me on top of what the other woman did to me! Therefore I asked to talk to the Manager. Albert, the Manager, came to process my return. When I told him what happened to me, he did not say a word, I expected him to say something like "I will communicate to Jessica regarding what happened." Nothing! I left Kohl's store in Torrance, California in disbelief and humiliation. I am sharing my unfortunate experience in Kohl's Torrance store hoping that no one else will get the worst customer service and humiliation like what I got any more! read more

Someone has to start putting these fake ad businesses on check. Kohl's is as bad as Macy's when it comes to making false specials. Example: 1. Van Heusen polo shirt: they claim it's on special from original price of $60, to not $30. These shirts have never been $60. No where in any store have I've seen them at 60. Not even at this store. Their specials are regular every day pricing. I walked out when I noticed they have fake pricing every where. Be honest with your specials. That's why these type of businesses are slowly losing customers. More and more people are noticing these fake ads. An honest deal will look like: Original price $35, -$10 total: $25. And when you compare pricing with other businesses you'll notice a pretty decent deal. They think people are too stupid to browse and shop around.
