My wife and I are new to the area and decided to try Koi for dinner tonight. The building is nothing special. The insde is clean, but again, nothing special. Service was quick and friendly. My wife ordered Crab Rangoon as a starter and I had an eggroll. The Crab Rangoon was delicious. All made in house. The eggroll was good and the asked for extra horseradish mustard was outstanding. For our main meals, my wife had the General Tso. It was good, but not much spice. Waitress later informed we can always ask for it to be spicier as they get too many that say it is too spicey if they spice it to their liking. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken. It was delicious. Informed that they marinade the chicken in the sauce overnight for the next day. Again, delicious. Portions were very generous. Prices were very reasonable. Don't worry about getting a smaller portion on the Combo Meal menu. It is still a large portion. Both my wife and I had to ask for boxes to bring home our leftovers. All in all, a very nice dinner experience and we will definitely return again. read more

Ugh. The food had no flavor! We ordered three different combination plates and after a few bites we all looked at each other like, "you taste nothing, right? It's not just me?" Really disappointing. After adding a nice dose of our our own soy and/or hoisin sauce, it was palatable enough to fill our bellies, but no one was happy about it. Do you know how disappointing it is to not be excited for your Chinese food leftovers the next day? Unfortunately, most of them made it to the trash. Insert sad face emoji. For reference, the dishes we orders were: -Beef Lo Mein -General Tso's chicken -Shrimp Lo Mein -various rices, various egg rolls The staff were also not very friendly. I ordered this as takeout and when I entered the restaurant there were two tables of people dining in. It was a small joint, but not packed, by any means. I waited almost five minutes before being acknowledged by anyone, and then it kind of just felt like I was an inconvenience. I like the lunch specials but wish the customer service was nicer. Angry if you need a fork for your to go. Angry if you can't hear what she asked quietly while facing away from you. Order Seafood Chow Mein, I'll insert the definition: Chow mein is a Chinese dish made from stir-fried noodles with vegetables and sometimes meat or tofu. Over the centuries, variations of chǎomiàn were developed in many regions of China; there are several methods of frying the noodles and a range of toppings can be used. Returned home to find a soupy, cabbage filled mess of a seafood dish. Imagine you went into your dishwasher, dug out from the bottom food trap a hand full of cheap imitation seafood, mixed with the water that gets stuck in the hose connected the dishwasher to the water. Anyway, I called and spoke to someone and they tried explaining to me that the "chow mein" noodles were actually the cabbage. I said there is no way this dish is chow mein. She insisted. Then I talked to another lady. She kept telling me it's my fault because I ordered online I said every other chow mein dish I've ever had, had noodles. "No that's Lo Mein", I said "No, I know the difference between chow mein and lo mein. Kept telling me it was my fault and there was nothing they could do for me. Been here a few times over the past couple of years. I was here on a Sunday at noon. The place was empty. Service was fast and friendly. They were happy to adjust my order for my spoiled tastes. Have eaten Sushi here several times over the past year. The Men in Black roll is a favorite. Also like the sushi and sashimi orders. Haven't tried the Chinese dishes, but the sushi is on par with anything I've had in this area. Not much on ambience but the service is good. Would recommend. read more

We ordered takeout; I can't comment on the service. The general tso chicken has a rather cheap, unpleasant texture; it's also saltier than it should be and not as sweet as expected. Also it is NOT spicy; it's not even remotely spicy but rather entirely mild, not even borderline medium; so ignore the review that says it is spicy. The broccoli wasn't fresh/crisp tasting either. No crunchy noodles or anything extra came with the meal. In all fairness, I've had worse, but I wouldn't bother with it again. Being a last minute Christmas order, I was anticipating good food from the reviews, but I can't say that I saw nor tasted what any of the other reviewers found special. read more

Fantastic food and great selection. Something for everyone, from sushi to sesame chicken. We had the koi platter which included spring rolls, dumplings, crab Rangoon, teriyaki chicken, fried shrimp and a sweet/sour sauce. Everything in the platter appeared and tasted freshly made. We then had Miso soup, a few special rolls, a couple typical rolls like California and Philly and then the kids had sesame chicken and brown rice. Everything was done very well and delicious. Even the brown rice was nice and fluffy and tasty. Glad there's a great Asian restaurant so close to the lake. read more

This place was okay. Nothing more nothing less. This rating is based on my preference. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food so I was looking forward to see what other Asian food they had to offer. Hence Asian fusion. There wasn't many non Chinese options. I got the teriyaki chicken which is similar to hibachi. It was good, very sweet. Fair portion. My daughter got the chicken fried rice, very bland. My fiancé got sushi, spicy yellow tail and tune roll. Fish was fresh and overall tasty. Though we didn't try much it seems this food is Americanized. That isn't an insult just not the authentic flavors were use to therefore I rated it a 3. The Services was good. Prices were fair for the portions. It's definitely better looking on the inside then the outside and we did not let that deter our decision to go because we find those to be the best type of places. When they first opened the food was great. Quality is going downhill over the last 6-8 months. The young waitress has the worst attitude in the world. My daughter arrived at 9 pm on a Saturday night, they close at 10:30 pm. Her attitude was so bad I wanted to just leave. I took my employees there for lunch today, LoMein was good, fried rice was not good, neither of my employees finished there meals. Same great waitress with her wonderful attitude took care of us. This is a very good Chinese and Japanese restaurant. I am not a big sushi eater so I couldn't tell you about that but their General Tsos Chicken is wonderful!!! It's actually spicy like it's supposed to be :-)! By far the best I have had. I have a hard time eating at other Chinese restaurants because they don't come that close! Very fresh and tasty. This has become one of our favorite restaurants because of the delicious food. Scallion pancakes, cold sesame noodles, and the Eastern Garden sushi roll are frequent orders along with sushi as part of the Luncheon Special. Great customer service they will talk to you and make you feel like they know you. They fit very well with the community which surprised me! The food is delicious, I believe they make most of it from scratch there and it tastes super fresh. Something we had was a bit spicy for my liking and they said next time let them know and they will customize it for you. Where else can they do that? Prices are great for the amount of food! We usually share it among 3 adults or multiple meals. The portions are big for take out and might even be bigger if you dine in.
