UNPROFESSIONAL!! RUDE! The "manager" literally told me "You do not matter to me," after arguing with me for 15 minutes, after I called and asked for a specific product.... I came in because they said they'd do the service I wanted. Once I arrived, they tried to argue with me and get me to do something totally different than what I called about. Once I said okay forget it I'll leave, that's when the "manager" tells me I don't matter to her lol... obviously keeping customers doesn't matter to her either! (This was maybe my 5th time going in... and I referred a handful of other people when they loved my paint job... I mentioned to the staff next time I was in, that I referred people. I got a nonchalant, "Oh, thanks." How about you thank me appropriately and show some genuine appreciation for me bringing you 5 new customers!!!!)......... When I left, I called to ask to speak to the owner and ask why I was treated with such disrespect. She began arguing and yelling into the phone and continued calling my phone back and harassing me. I would never tell my worst enemy to spend a single dollar at this sh*thole. They talk sh*t about you during your whole visit, and only see you as a dollar sign. I stopped in to get a basic pedicure ($23) and it was a great experience. The appointment making process was quick and easy and they seem very accommodating even without an appointment. The selection of nail polish colors is wonderful. My feet felt thoroughly pampered when I left. They took extra case to moisturize my heals which I appreciated. Their pedicure chairs are amazing with a variety of massage options. While I was waiting for my nails to dry under the UV, I was given a lovely shoulder massage- service is above and beyond. The 3 stars has nothing to do with how nice, clean or quiet the place is - those aspects are wonderful!!! My rating comes from the nail tech and the service I got. She made not only a toe of mine bleed form cutting too close to the cuticle, but my middle finger nail as well. That finger took about 10 minutes to stop bleeding while she continuously tried to put some ointment on it to help. Never once did she apologize or mention anything of what she did - which also made me upset. On top of it all, when the manicure was finished she didn't go around all my nails to clean up the extra polish. I had to ask another technician once i was dry to do it. Needless to say, besides my quiet and alone time, my experience here wasn't the best. I'd definitely like to try it again because i know many people who love it here - though I'd have a hard time paying again due to this frustrating experience! read more

I came across Koi two years ago when I was in the area. I now travel 19 miles to get my nails and toes done. The organic pedicure is worth every penny. They do a hot rock massage on your legs that feels better than any massage I've ever had. Not to mention the neck massage after your manicure for a few minutes just relaxes you for the rest of the day. The nail color selection is just overwhelming. The girls are all very nice and polite. I've FINALLY found my new nail place!!!!!!!! So Im no stranger to manipedis, no chip, gel, powder dip, designs, etc and Ive struggled for the longest time to find a nail place in the suburbs thats reliable and worth the money. THIS IS IT LADIES. I saw their no chip mani & deluxe spa pedi for $55 on Groupon, called them and was told I could head over. Parking was easy, I was warmly greeted and told to pick out my colours. The selection is amazing but I wanted a specific rose gold chrome I had seen on Pinterest. One of the nail techs actually took the time to experiment with different colour combinations to make the exact rose gold I had shown her, it was incredibly helpful of her and Im used to people just telling me to pick from what was in front of me. Quality: I came in with super outgrown no chip and the way my nails looked after the nail tech had stripped, shaped, cleaned up, and buffed my nails was like I had been turned into a HAND MODEL. (pics included, I'm serious). That alone would have been enough to impress me and land me writing a positive review for Koi. BUT THERE'S MORE: THE. MASSAGE. OH. MY. GOD. their deluxe spa pedi included two massages that easily covered 15 min total while their no chip manicure included a hand massage and maybe the best upper back/neck/shoulder massage I have ever received in my 27 years of life. Have gone through some of the nail salon in Lisle and Naperville but this place I accidentally found while shopping in the Wheaton area. Had the spa pedicure and it was so relaxing and worth it for $28! Other places would usually charge $25 or more for a basic pedicure. Plus the shoulder massage as you wait for your nails to dry is an unexpected, yet appreciated bonus! Happened to be in South Wheaton today and tried Koi Nail Spa. Had a spa pedicure and French dip manicure and it was a really great experience! They have the best massage chair ever! The service finishes off with a shoulder/neck massage that was really relaxing and soothed those muscles. Nail technician, Nalli did a very nice job. I tried this place for the first time tonight. As i walked in i was greeted. I had an appointment but i waited for 20 mins, but typically for nail salons. The basic mani & pedi was amazing the massages were awesome. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Soothing music, beverages offered, many colors. It was very clean as well. Today i left this location extremely unsatisfied and unpleased with the amount of disrespect my friend and i received while getting our nails done. When we arrived we told the nail specialists that we were running low on time and they decided to ignore it and take their time, they made my friend wait in a soak off unattended for over an hour. I had told the nail technician nicely that one of my nails was crooked thats when she viciously pulled my arm and started filing for two seconds just to leave it how it was already. I have never experienced anything like this before like the color wasn't even the one i picked its just not fair. Craziest part is that when we had to leave they charged my friend $15 for the 1 hour soak off basically just sitting there plus an extra 5 dollars for a coffin shape which wasn't even on the price menu. The total we paid was $80. $65 for these bogus nails and $15 to sit down. This is my first bad review i hope nobody experiences the scam i experienced. read more

This place was not great at all. We got our toes done and the lady argued and argued about a Groupon. When that finally got figured out we did nails. She cut my friends cuticul and it was bleeding. The lady did nothing at all and walked away for about 10 minutes. Then the manager came to paint them. While they dried, the dryer was making the polish move upwards. The manager said that my friend moved it up but I watched and she didn't move them. The manager was super angry and all she did was put another coat on. When she pulled her hand out there was a bump and she said my friend must've bumped it again. Finally, she re-painted it again and put it in the dryer. We waited almost 40 minutes for her to put a top coat on it. They wouldn't let us leave until we got a top coat and it dried. We left before it dried. Aswell as this lady came in, asked for nails and the manager denied her and said she needed an appointment so she left. Worst service ever. read more
