Koi Ramen is the spot when you're craving a good bowl of ramen! The menu offers plenty of variety, from pork buns to udon, so there's something for everyone. Our table ordered the crab rangoons, which were a bit underwhelming since they were mostly cheese, but the ramen more than made up for it. I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, and it absolutely blew me away. It was perfect for a cold day! The broth was rich, flavorful, and comforting. Second time and absolutely delicious both times!!! I've lived in Japan and the food here tastes authentic. I had Koi ramen the first time and the Shoyu today. The meat was SOOO good, super tender and melt in my mouth. My daughter had the beef ramen and my son had a spicy one (I can't remember the name). They each thought theirs was yummy too. I've had the Koi milk boba tea and green milk boba tea. The boba is perfect consistency! If ykyk. The service both times, two different servers, was great. Each attentive, courteous and offered great recommendations. They advertise green tea cheesecake but unfortunately it's just plain cheesecake. Given how great everything is, this minor disappointment won't sway me. The ambiance was pleasant also. I most definitely recommend! 10/10 read more

This sushi place is in an old Arby's restaurant. So it is a very casual place. We saw the reviews on Google and it had good reviews and the restaurant has been open for four months. They have a very interesting sushi menu with some specialties and then the regular sushi rolls. They also have a variety of Ramen bowls. We ordered the packer roll and the Green Bay roll. They were both very very good. The sushi rolls are large so two rolls was enough for two people. I definitely would go back. For the size of the restaurant it was a little bit noisy. The service was good. The employees were friendly and outgoing. read more

My daughter and I were very excited to try Koi for lunch last week. We ordered rangoon, a ramen dish and a katsu to share. The Rangoon was fine but nothing special. The ramen had an off flavor and the chicken was poorly trimmed dark meat which had fatty areas. The katsu came over ten minutes after the ramen. Because it was more chicken, I was hoping they had just forgotten it. Again, poorly trimmed dark meat. This would be fine if it were specified on the menu. I understand that it's a great way to cut costs but it isn't what most people expect when ordering chicken. The service was fine, outside of being a bit standoffish and the delay on the katsu, which I wasn't upset about because I would have preferred to cancel it before it came anyway. Ambiance is cute. Miso soup was as it should be. We barely ate anything and took the leftovers home to my husband. He noted the food was over salted. We have traveled extensively and are a professional restaurant family. They really missed the mark here but I'm glad to see others enjoy this restaurant. It's just not quality for price point and they could do better. Also, they have fly ribbon in the kitchen, visible to guests. This is a health code violation which made me nervous if they are educated on codes in general or not. Probably won't return. read more

Well done GB, excited to have a new place to try. This is an old arbys, but once inside you can hardly tell. Packer roll was delicious! The miso was water down compared to miso ramen in Chicago, but its GB. The spicy level was definitely spicy so dont beyond medium unless u like eating tums. They give you a really nice portion of chashu in your ramen too! read more

For an old Arby's location now sushi and ramen soup place it's a hidden gem. The sushi was very good but the star of the menu is the ramen soup bowls. The portions are big and very tasty, with lots of toppings on top of the stock broth. All fresh and home made there's no canned or frozen stuff here. Very very good meal. read more

We've found ourselves in this particular moment, him 5 years sober, me 26 and often confusing experiences of pain and pleasures on the thin ice of addiction. Today we are in wisconsin, visiting family, having coffee to stay at a cafe my grandma recommended we go to. She has my tiny brother, so it's just my dad and I, how things were for 16 years. We work as a team to find free parking. We love doing team things to save a dollar, a minute, or find a loophole. We decide on our coffees, and when the barista asks if we'll have them to stay my dad says yes, which brings a smile to my mind. He suggests we share this berry oat bar thing. One thing I find so charming about his sobriety is his need for sweets. It's somewhere in trainspotting 2 that mark tells spud "you'll always be an addict. You just have to find something else to get addicted to." I think of this when i see him with a big fat bowl of ice cream after dinner and a new exciting hobby every other month. I think of this when I consider what my life might be like if I decide to admit some things to myself sooner than later. But right now it's me and my father, having coffee to stay in cute mugs, no rushing, no changing things, just farting around in a midwest summer.
