Atmosphere is welcoming, loved the black comfy chairs, and the big projector on the wall! The sushi was phenomenal! The waiter was nice but could have been a bit more attentive to the needs of the table like drink refills but not a huge deal! There was no wait at 5pm on a Sunday!

We enjoyed our visit to Koi. This may need to be a regular for us. This is a nice addition to this area. The interior is pretty nicely decorated. We were there during a world cup game and they had it up on a huge screen. We ordered a few things. Each of our dishes were good. I did order my noodle dish with a medium spice but it came out mild Because if the world cup match, our server seemed a bit distracted. Hopefully next time we will get a little better service.

First visit this weekend. We were blown away with all aspects of our experience. The service was spot on and attentive but not intrusive. Greeted well and all looked as if they enjoyed their work. The food started with a free appetizer. They have a broad menus with much to select from. Sushi rolls were tasty, unique and huge portions. Prices reflected an excellent value. The restaurant is nicely decorated and designed for conversation. Will definitely be back.

We went for lunch and got a couple rolls and a couple pieces. Fish was delicious and rolls were great. Miso soup could have been warmer, but that's not a big deal. Service was attentive and professional. Will go back for sure.

A group of 14 of us made reservations for dinner on a Saturday night - arrived and immediately sat at our table. It's a beautiful new restaurant in the 32081 vicinity. Little bit of a "fishy" smell when you first walk in door ... but you either don't notice after a while or don't focus on it. Our server Max was excellent!! He had our 7 couples to keep up with and a handful of other guests. Food orders came out correct even though the food runners seemed confused about who ordered what- Free appetizers for the tables ... imitation crab tempura- told by most it was good! Cool drink menu - vast and versatile. The Old Fashioned drinks were a hit. We all agreed our meals were tasty and we will be returning!

Finally got to try this newer spot. Pleasantly surprised by the interior. My teens worked at the old bbq place and the inside is night and day. Very nice ambiance. You'd never know from the outside. Everything we tried was excellent. Staff was very attentive and super nice. Will definitely be back for food and drinks at the bar with friends.

Should be given a Michelin star!!!! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a modern elegant atmosphere!!! The food is incredible. Every dish is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The sushi is impeccably fresh and the Thai dishes are rich and balanced. The Hibachi is perfectly seasoned with the grilled vegetables. You can tell the chefs take real pride in their craft. Service is another standout. The staff is professional and genuinely attentive without ever feeling intrusive. They make excellent recommendations and ensure your meal flows seamlessly from start to finish. The Complimentary Koi Special is a brilliant touch and for $8 you can get an order of 3 rolls. Whether you're looking for a casual night out or a special occasion, KOI delivers!!!

We've already been to Koi Sushi Thai & Bar twice, and it keeps impressing us. There's plenty of parking, and the interior is modern and inviting. They start you off with a complimentary fried imitation crab appetizer. We've sampled their Pad Thai, Hibachi, Curry, Katsu, and a variety of sushi. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The service is consistently excellent. Because it's conveniently close to home, this restaurant is destined to be one of our go‑to for both lunch and dinner.

I was driving home from Orlando today and wanted to pick up some good Asian food for dinner. I checked out Yelp to find a good place close to Nocatee and this place popped up. After reading some of the reviews, I decided to give it a try. The menu offers plenty of sushi, Thai and hibachi choices. I decided to go with two hibachi dinners for me and my husband. It was a great decision. I got one filet dinner and one combo dinner with chicken and shrimp. That way we could share all three proteins. The dinners also came with a ton of mixed grilled vegetables, rice, soup and salad. Everything looked and tasted great. The take out containers were also probably the nicest I have ever seen. Even the bag was beautiful. Can't wait to return and eat in next time.

Let me take you step-by-step on what I experienced today. Me and my friend wanted to go grab some food. We were in the mood for sushi. The closest place was this location. We honestly were excited just for the sushi part of it but once we got here we parking lot was packed so we were like wow OK that's a good sign and then we walked in look so modern dark fancy and just honestly a little bougie and it was VERY unexpected. Then the guy which was the assistant manager smiled at us greeted us and basically could tell we were having a good time just for a few seconds and definitely invited us over to look around and ask us if it's our first time, then sat us down, then the waitress pretty much blessed us with service, presentation, and enlightenment. Also the food is so fresh like no other around this area and I honestly I'm so glad I came because this is going to be my location for recommendation when it comes to eating out with family and friends cause I know this gonna satisfy those needs and and I truly wrote this message to let not only the staff know but everyone else know around the area that this actually is the new thing here definitely want to see this business. Stay here forever shout out to the assistant manager every single waitress has smiled at me. I actually ended up having conversations with them and I don't know this location is different and I honestly appreciate it. Every city needs something like this.

Don't let the drab outside fool ya. I avoided this new spot because it was several unsuccessful restaurants in the past. A friend talked me into trying this new place so conveniently located to Nocatee on US1 in a small strip center. Koi has only been open a month but if the experience continues it will be here years to come. When you walk inside you are blown away by how nice it is. There's a sushi bar, booths, tons of uplighting & chandeliers. There's a giant screen on the wall that was showing video of undersea creatures and then switched to birds. The menu has sushi, Thai & a few Chinese dishes like General Tso chicken. It's a pretty diverse menu & has something for everyone even if they don't eat sushi like my dining companion. It was lunchtime so we ordered from the lunch specials menu. I had 2 sushi rolls ( spicy tuna & tuna with avocado) which comes with soup or salad for $12. I also could not resist ordering my favorite Thai dish,Tom Kai Gai soup. After adding a squeeze of lime and hot chili it was absolutely delicious! My soup was a nice size bowl( i believe it was $8). My dining companion ordered the General Tso chicken which came with a bowl of rice and soup or salad as well for $14. Both were a great value. My sushi was beautifully prepared and tasty. My friend said although the GTC was good she would not order it again. Before we even had a chance to order our server brought over a complementary appetizer. It was very tasty. I believe it was fried crab roll. I like the way this place pays attention to details for instance the nice chop sticks not those cheap wooden ones that splinter. Also, the takeout bag was so nice ( I was too full to finish my food) I'd use it again as a tote. Overall, nice experience & I have definitely added Koi to my lists of places for sushi & Thai food.

First time eating here, the ambience is very welcoming and charming, we were greeted by very friendly staff with warm smiles. Lunch special are served Monday through Saturday 11 AM to 3 PM very reasonable priced comes with soup or salad and steamed or fried rice. I should've tried the sushi, but I seen that they had Pai Thai with chicken, so I ordered that and glad I did, It was delicious! Joe ordered Thai spicy curry, they level up the spice level to suit Joe. He loved it! I did order pad Thai tea, it's always been one of my favorites iced tea with spices and cream in it!! Yummy! Looks like they have a outdoor seating too, I would say that the place is good and worth trying. I'll be back multiple times......

Fire Dragon Roll, Angel Hair Roll, and Dancing Eel Roll
    Anna S.

Amazing experience here! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We started the evening with hot sake and takoyaki, and that combination was perfect. The takoyaki were crispy on the outside, soft inside, and paired so well with the warm sake -- such a great way to start the meal. For sushi, we ordered the Fire Dragon Roll, Angel Hair Roll, and Dancing Eel Roll, and they were incredible. If you love creamy, rich sushi rolls with lots of flavor, these are definitely the ones to try. The Fire Dragon Roll was perfectly balanced with salmon and sauce, the Angel Hair Roll was super creamy and indulgent, and the Dancing Eel Roll had that amazing sweet eel flavor that makes every bite so satisfying. Everything was beautifully presented, the fish tasted fresh, and the sauces were perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was cozy and stylish, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely one of the best sushi spots around -- we'll absolutely be back!

We've been dining here for more than two years, and every visit reminds us why it has earned a permanent place on our list of Favorite Tables Around Town. The atmosphere strikes a wonderful balance between upscale and comfortable. Whether you're planning a romantic date night, celebrating a special occasion, or simply craving exceptional sushi, Green Papaya delivers an experience that feels polished without ever feeling pretentious. We especially enjoy the side dining room, where the softer lighting creates an intimate setting that's perfect for lingering over dinner. We started this visit with the sampler appetizer, and it's one of the best ways to experience several favorites from the kitchen. The spring rolls were light and crispy, the coconut shrimp had just the right touch of sweetness, the chicken skewers were tender and flavorful, and the crab rangoon was rich, creamy, and perfectly fried. Susan couldn't pass up her favorite Tom Kha soup. If you enjoy bold flavors with a little heat, this soup is outstanding. The creamy coconut broth, fresh herbs, and spice create one of the most flavorful versions we've had anywhere. If you're sensitive to spice, just keep that in mind when ordering. Now let's talk about the sushi. As sushi lovers, we've worked our way through nearly every specialty roll on the menu over the years, and Green Papaya has never disappointed us. On this visit, the Tiger Roll earned one of our highest honors: our Best of the Best award. We don't hand that recognition out often. The Tiger Roll was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. Every bite combined fresh fish, great texture, and layers of flavor that complemented each other instead of competing. It's the kind of roll you remember long after dinner is over and the one we'll recommend to anyone visiting for the first time. We also ordered the Tropical Roll with spicy scallops, mango, and white tuna. The sweetness of the mango softened the heat from the scallops beautifully, creating a combination that was refreshing, unique, and absolutely delicious. Service has always been friendly and attentive. One thing that makes Green Papaya a little different is the robot that helps deliver food throughout the restaurant. Our grandchildren absolutely love it, and it's always fun watching kids light up when it rolls by. For adults trying to enjoy a quiet conversation, it can occasionally be a little distracting, but it's certainly memorable and has become part of the restaurant's personality. Green Papaya isn't inexpensive, but quality sushi rarely is. The ingredients are fresh, the presentation is excellent, and the consistency keeps us coming back year after year. We'd much rather pay a little more for outstanding sushi than settle for something average. If you're looking for one of the best sushi restaurants in St. Johns, whether it's for date night, a celebration, or simply because you're craving outstanding sushi, Green Papaya deserves a visit. And when you go... Order the Tiger Roll. There's a reason it earned our Best of the Best award. You can also check out our photos to see why this has become one of our Favorite Tables Around Town.
