    Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle)
    Kate C.

There is a new contender for my favorite drunken noodles! I am always on the hunt for good drunken noodles and this is definitely one of my new favorite spots. They also have a great selection of Thai street food, much of which I haven't seen locally here on menus. I definitely want to go back and try more of that! The drunken noodles were just my taste test and they passed. Also the Thai coffee is amazing. The service is also spectacular. They were helpful in guiding thru some of the street food options and more than happy to share knowledge. It's also such a cute place! It's small and cozy, and the day we were there the music selections was spectacular. A lot of like beach boys and similar.

I love an authentic Mom & Pop shop. This place is located in the Deerwood area it's a hidden gem. The vibe inside is it's a local favorite as it serves the area. The Thai food here is made to order served hot. I ordered the Yelp specials first Spring Rolls & Thai Tea. Both delightful. The spring rolls were the best I've taste in a long time. I also ordered the red curry to give the menu a try. It is nicely flavored with a spicy kick for mild spice order. This is sure add to my list of Thai places I'm Jacksonville.

Such a cute restaurant, and looks like it would be a great date night spot! Not only that, but the workers are so friendly and the food comes out so quickly. The thai tea was so delicious, I wish my cup was at least two times bigger, especially because it felt like most of the cup was just ice. It had the signature thai tea flavor that came through pretty well, but I loved that it wasn't too sweet. The gyoza were really crispy on the outside, and super juicy on the inside. I also really loved the sauce that it came with. And the pad se-ew was really good too. I love that the spice is customizable! Although I've never really had spicy pad se-ew before, I got the level 3 and it was the perfect amount. The chicken was kind of dry though, I'd probably go with another meat next time. My only complaint is that the serving sizes are definitely on the smaller side.

Came here for lunch and it was absolutely delicious!! We got the pork gyoza to start and then I had the drunken noodles. I'm not a big big fan of spice but can deal with a little so I got it mild. It was the PERFECT amount of spice!! My husband got the Panang Curry and he really enjoyed it. The Thai Tea was really tasty, I would get it again! The gyoza was perfectly crispy. We really loved this spot and how intimate and cozy it felt! Our server was super helpful and attentive.

Came for a Yelp Event, stayed for lunch! Inside is beautifully decorated. There are also 2 tables outside. Server was very attentive. Food came out in a timely manner. We ordered lunch and my son ordered dessert. I had the Penang Curry. So delicious! All spices were perfectly balanced. My husband ordered the drunken noodles. He also loved it. The sauce was so good and the beef was perfectly cooked. My son really wanted the cocoanut jellies. They were absolutely beautiful! I didn't want anyone to eat them! They were a really nice texture, more firm than Jello. They were cocoanutty and not too sweet. We will definitely be back!

Came here for a Yelp experience and had to get a meal. Thai is one of my favorite cuisines and this place does great with the flavor and service. The food came out fast and hot. They are also so friendly and accommodating. The decor inside is so comfortable and pretty. Its a small to medium space with about 6 tables but comfortable enough! The pad se ew is a 5/5 for me. The portion is good, the taste is good and it came out fast. A great spot for Thai food. Will be back

Located in nice shopping plaza- good parking. Well decorated with tables for eat in. Greeted warmly and seated - ordered the chicken / mixed vegetables and green curry chicken(ordered on low spicy side) and had a nice little kick to it. Fresh and hot. Good service and easy to box up leftovers. Will be back.

I've wanted to try this thai food place out, and I finally went here for dinner with my yelps friends :) I ordered the pad sea ew with beef and it was freaking delicious! The noodles were bouncy and chewy and the flavors were packed with the beef and a little bit of the veggies. I love pad sea ew and this place is it! I think I've found my place for this dish! I also ordered their zap wings and it was good! Juicy, crunchy, and moist. The chicken was not dry, it was perfect! Their thai tea was good too. I also got to try the chive cake and it was yummy! Overall, everything was on point! Definitely will come back here again for thai food. Delicious! Hughly recommend.

Absolutely love this place. Was my first visit, but I intend on coming back every time I visit. I've always wanted a place like this in Tampa. It has such a better menu of classics that we know here but also classic from Thailand. The Guay tiew rua neau was sooo good! The broth was rich but also balanced with the spice. It got busy during lunch so definitely keep that in mind. You also cant go wrong with the Thai tea. Loved it all.

We dined in on a Friday evening. The service was exceptional and speedy. We split the chive cakes and the Thai fries which were both good. The fries were very crispy and were served with a delicious peanut sauce. The chive cakes were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. For entrees we opted for drunken noodles with tofu and chicken pad Thai. Both were good and had plenty of sauce/veggies. We got 2/5 spice which we felt was pretty mild but had good flavor. We would dine here again.

I am so happy I finally got to try Mali Thai because it was phenomenal! In addition to the cool ambiance and wonderful service, the flavors are authentically Thai and delicious! We had spring rolls and panko shrimp for starters along with the Wings Zabb and every bite was bursting with texture and flavor! We sipped on a creamy Thai tea and Thai energy drinks while savoring rich Panang curry with shrimp and chicken and the deeply satisfying Krapao Neau Toon & Kai Dao which was savory with a kick of heat! Each dish was so delectable that we couldn't stop talking about visiting again soon. This is definitely one to try and soon!!!

This some of the best Thai food I have ever had. I got the panang curry with beef and the depth of flavor in this dish was something else. The beef was a little over cooked but didnt detract from the over all taste. I also got the wings which were nice and crispy. The sauce also had a nice balance of savory and sweet. The workers were so nice and our food came out quickly. This place is on the smaller side you could only comfortably fit about 4 people to a table. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back.

    Ashley T.

I cannot say enough positive things about the ambience of this restaurant. It feels like your dining with relatives when you're there and it's just so quaint and inviting. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We came for a Yelp event but stayed for the delicious entrées. After lots of deliberating, I ordered the Krapao Moo Krob + Kai Dao. It was delicious, but the pork was a little on the salty side, which is often the nature of ordering crispy pork in a dish. Because I went with two other people I also had the pleasure of trying their entrées, which were both so good. I would absolutely recommend coming here and I know I'll be back for sure!

So we headed to Zen Dumplings on Baymeadows Road, where soup dumplings are very much the point. We started with a scallion pancake, wafer-thin and crisp, with enough scallion flavor to make its presence known. A little table-side chili crunch turned it into an excellent opening act. Then came the main event, soup dumplings. We ordered a basket of chicken, plus the sampler, which includes one each of chicken, beef, shrimp, crab, pork, and truffle. All of them were good, but the pork was the one I kept thinking about. The broth was deeply savory, and the pork filling had the texture and flavor of a very good meatball hiding inside a dumpling. The crab and shrimp were close behind. The beef and chicken were solid. The truffle dumpling was a different animal altogether. It tasted like someone had taken a whole truffle and put it inside a dumpling. Truffle isn't usually my favorite flavor, but even I had to admit this one worked. We also ordered shrimp stir-fried noodles. The shrimp were cooked nicely and the noodles were perfectly respectable. Unfortunately, I am still haunted by the spectacular stir-fried noodles I had at Izakaya Ko a couple of weeks ago, and Zen's version had the misfortune of being compared to them. But I didn't come here for the noodles. I came for soup dumplings, and Zen Dumplings delivered. Sometimes that's all you need from lunch. The craving was specific, the solution was obvious, and Zen Dumplings scratched that itch.

Reservations can be made via OpenTable, and I saw this suggested on Yelp so I decided to try one evening. Upon arriving, I marveled at the beauty of the interior design of the bottom floor that also serves as a gallery. I ascended the staircase as the restaurant is on the third floor. I dined alone as this trip I didn't have a coworker with me, but I still was seated in a cozy corner to take it all in. Isaac, my waiter, was incredibly friendly, and ensured I had everything I needed. What I Ordered: - Caesar Salad: This salad is as pretty good, but at a price point of $19, I would likely skip if dining here again. Though, it did have the perfect hint of lemon for acidity and the croutons tasted house-made. Perhaps if you added a protein, this could become your main dish and elevate it. - Lobster Roll: $36 for a lobster roll?! I was intrigued as this was noted as a signature dish and a standout for what this location is known for... and boy was I IMPRESSED! The roll was perfectly toasted, and the lobster to roll ratio was absolute perfection. The flavor of the lobster was juicy and tasted fresh. This roll was so good that even the neighboring table as they left asked how I enjoyed it. They were recognized by staff, so I believe they are regulars. We all discussed how delicious it was and I shared my thoughts on the execution of lobster to bread ratio. I dined here a couple weeks ago, and I'm still thinking about where in Arizona I'll ever find a roll as decadent. - Cappuccino: a mark of a truly well-crafted cappuccino is the sugar test. Will the foam withstand the weight of sugar or will it sink to the bottom (poorly frothed)? I had ordered and didn't realize they would put a design on top! Visually stunning, and happy to report they make a beautiful cappuccino with delightful foam. Added pictures to showcase the design they added, and the sugar test. The rooftop has stunning views, and the food is a work of art as well. Though I had a lighter dinner with a salad + lobster roll, I was impressed with the meal and would return to try more of the menu if I visit for business or personal reasons in the future. This area has lots of restaurants, but this one definitely leaves an impression and draws this foodie back in to return. Check it out if you are in the area!

The music was a loop of calypso with the most annoying, nightmare inducing AI video I've ever seen. But I digress... The Food... my wife had a Cuban sandwich special which came with a guava smoothie (?) she also ordered a side of Yuca Frita. The insides of the sandwich were good but totally overtaken by the bread which was dry and too crumbly. But the thing that sums up this visit was the Yuca Fries...$4 for (I kid you not) THREE yuca fries! Yes, I said 3 little yuca fries on a small plate for $4!!!! I had the Vaca Frita with Yuca con Mojo and grilled veggies. The meat was dry but the flavors of all were pretty good. Ended the meal with "Cuban" coffee which was NOT Cuban coffee but what tasted like unsweetened instant espresso. And a flaN which was the highlight of the meal. Good portion, fresh and delicious. I was told this place had been open for 2 years. Hard to believe. Maybe we came at a bad time but I wouldn't expect a place like this to last six months. Oh, the server was pleasant enough. I don't think she knew just how bad things are. I'd give this place 1 star if not for the fact the flavors were okay. Oh yes, almost forgot...the bill for this lackluster of an experience was $58 including tip!! (Did I mention we drank water? Drink prices were incredibly overpriced). And finally, a terrible case of heartburn accompanied me for the rest of the evening. My wife and I grew up in South Florida so we kinda know what this food should taste like. My only complaint is I expected more heat from the gochujang. The Bonchon is essentially a flight of pickled sides: sweet pickled cucumbers, sweet pickled carrots and daikon (similar to what you'd find on a Vietnamese banh mi), and a well-fermented kimchi with mild heat and great flavor. Word of caution: if you want their take on Chow Fun noodles, order the "Beef Haw Fun" instead.
