This used to be my go-to bagel place! I fought the urge to write a review but after the third time coming here in the last 2 months with the same lack of consistency and attention to detail from the back of house/bagel makers, it was inevitable. My friend and I frequent this place and get the same exact order every time. We order the Sedona bagel and a regular triple toasted bagel. The last three times we have gone, our request for a triple toasted bagel is ignored, it looks like it has been slightly nuked. It's also extremely disappointing when the Sedona is supposed to have red onion and they leave it out every time. The first of three times we gave them the benefit of the doubt and let it go. The second time we went back in after receiving our order and they toasted the already made bagels so they were warm and added the forgotten onion. The third time, it's the same story and they held back on the cream cheese. Of course, if I'm tipping and spending over $16 for 2 bagels, I'm going to request for the cream cheese and omitted onion. Unfortunately, I don't know if I will inconvenience myself driving 25 minutes out of my way to support this business anymore. I just want what I came here for--not sure if it's a lack of training for the back of house (always the same people working), or maybe lack of concern for detail, but the lack of consistency is largely disappointing. I don't like being 'that person' and writing a negative review--but this place is always busy so it's not worth making others wait in line on my behalf just for me to voice my concern. Hopefully someone sees this here and something can change. This has nothing to do with their customer service because everyone here is nice. It's the simple fact that they keep missing the mark on what's written on their own menu. **Edit in response to business owner** My only special request is for a triple toasted bagel. Three times out of three the onion was not put on my bagel that it's supposed to come with. You can also see in the picture how the employee sloppily stuck the onion in there without even cutting it. The other bagel on the order asked for light cream cheese. I watched your employee input the order correctly, and the back of the house misread the ticket. Your response to my review is even more disappointing because instead of acknowledging my concern, you became defensive right away and lack any accountability. Again--I ordered the bagel EXACTLY as it's written on your menu and each time your employees fail to make it correctly. Asking for a bagel to be toasted in not a special request. You missed the entire point of my review; however, in the same instance you made my point for me that over the last 5 times--you can't get it right. My main gripe is that per your menu, my bagel is supposed to come with onion and your employees never put onion on it. Good job on making a teachable moment into a self-own. This was our first time there. We waited in a line that was so slow and kept getting longer in this tiny place, with no where for the line to go. 30 minutes later, we finally got our bagels & smoothies. THIRTY minutes for 2 toasted bagels & cream cheese. Waited at a dirty table. In fact all the tables were dirty. Trying to get someone's attention to get a wash rag was a lost cause. We ended up leaving taking our breakfast home. This place is WAY overpriced, inflation or not, its not a place for anyone on a retirement income. We won't go back. We can get a full breakfast for that price. To add: Just reading the responses of the owner on the reviews here is the most negative part. That take a little bit longer as there's maybe 3 people prepping the food in the back. Waited about 15mins. They also came out and reported they ran out of sausage, so I had to use Ham substitute. Food: Spirited kokbelli comes with egg, pepperjack, salsa, and suppose to be sausage but I got ham instead - on jalapeno bagel. Taste was pretty much as expected with those ingredients. Nothing different or spectacular, but a clean basic ingredient sandwich. I thought it was ok for a pre-hike meal. Not oily and won't bog you down before hiking. Price: $6.47 total for just the sandwich. Not too expensive. Service: slightly slow, you will wait if their busy, but thankfully not too long. Went to brunch with my parents, my mom said it's always packed. It was packed! Was really excited, definitely gave me the idea that it was going to be great. Each of our meals lacked flavor. Came here for breakfast yesterday before a flight and was pleasantly surprised. Split the Ranchero and Hot Ham and Cheese Bagels with my girlfriend. The Ranchero Bagel was on an everything bagel with cheese and was delicious - however, I felt there was too much cream cheese and found myself needing a napkin after every bite. Would probably order again with light cream cheese. The Hot amHam and Cheese was even better I thought and we got it on the jalapeño and cheese bagel. The honey mustard is a great touch and the bagel choice provided hints of spice. Lastly, the reason for a 5 star review instead of a 4 star review was the two to mango smoothie - arguable one of the best smoothies I've had recently. Perfectly creamy while also being fruity. Ordered a egg, swiss and bacon on asiago bagel breakfast sandwich, cinnamon crunch bagel, a chocolate croissant, and a raspberry mocha iced coffee. Breakfast sandwich was dry, overcooked, and I ended up throwing it away and just eating the asiago bagel. The egg was tough and difficult to even bite. Bagel was yummy. Bagels are delish. Would have no issues buying bagels again. Raspberry Mocha iced coffee, was not bad just not my taste and I usually like raspberry flavored things. Overall I had an ok experience. It's been a couple of years since we've been here and I don't know why it took us so long to go back. I stopped in at the request of the wife on the way home from work the other morning and picked up half a dozen of mixed bagels including jalapeno and cheddar bagels (this is relevant in a bit :-) ). They were possibly the freshest bagels I've had since I moved from the trip state area back east 24 years ago. When I went to work that night I brought a couple for dinner and they were still soft and chewy. I was looking forward to having a bagel this morning with my coffee and I kept them in the microwave to keep them away from my four legged scavengers. Lo and behold to my utter horror to realize that I accidentally left them out on the counter the night before because they were nowhere to be found.
