I enjoyed this place and thought the portions were good. My server was very generous with the helpings of each topping. Selections of toppings are average but everything I got was yummy. LOVE that it's in a strip mall with substantial free parking.

Ordered poke to from Uber eats while visiting LA based on reviews for a good sushi burrito. Unfortunately, it had to be the worst sushi burrito I've ever had. Arrived soggy lacking flavor and was not very good at all. Though it arrived quickly. There are so many options for sushi in LA I would not recommend going here even on the most restraining budget. I was very dissatisfied and would not order again. I ordered utinsels and there was none and the restaurant did not give me the extra sauce I paid for. Not happy with service at all.

Bomb. I wish there were just a little more fish for the price, but the general portion size is good and THE FLAVOR IS THERE -This is the 3-scoop bowl

Awesome big burrito and miso soup.

This place turned out to be a pretty tasty restaurant. My family enjoyed two burritos a poke bowl and my younger one had to have spam roll. It all costed under $40!!! We were full Then we ordered miso soup which had a genuine taste not water run down, cheap taste. We finished off with taiyaki. Fish looking waffle filled with the sweets. We had red beans, custard and cheddar cheese. I liked the red beans, not too, sweet, not too, beanny like in asada burrito. All the ingredients (proteins and vegis) were fresh and topped ff even after the lunch rush. Spicy tuna was the bomb!!! Girl behind the counter was really helpful with the choices... I would definently come back with my family or my friends.

Okay I love poketo and hate having to leave this review... but I'm pretty disappointed. I used to come here a lot and thought this place was the BEST! 6 stars. Good portion, good price. However, I just ordered poke bowls from here for my family and for $18.50 per bowl the amount of fish is upsetting. Posting a picture. The shrimp confused me. It was the smallest scoop of chopped up shrimp. The salmon scoop was a bit better but still. Just not worth the price unfortunately :(

My go to poke place. It's fresh and quick and delicious and there's normally ample parking. People that work there are nice too.

One of the best sushi spots I've had a in a while actually. We didn't really do any appetizers and went straight in for the fish. Started off with a couple of hand rolls, we did the crab hand roll and O toro hand roll. Crab hand roll wasn't as impressive, I've had better to be honest. I didn't let that experience ruin it for me because the toro hand roll was delicious. I think they add a piece of mint and it complimented the hand roll. Very crunchy nori wrapper and good rice to fish ratio. For our sushi we started with chu toro tuna, salmon belly, and halibut. Super fresh melt in your mouth quality. Halibut was interesting with the truffle, first time definitely won't be the last. We ended it with red snapper and black snapper. Absolutely amazing, I think the black snapper or the red snapper was slightly charred. It was so good. To say the least, this restaurant was worth it!

Nice of the chef to switch out roe for halibut for me on my omakase. However, probably the worst omakase I've ever had. No creativity, nothing felt premium, chewy fish, flavors didn't mesh, and half of it was salty. The miso soup wasn't scorching, which i appreciated at first but that meant the last few sips were fairly room temp. The real crab handroll was good. If the price point was $35 sushi set I'd give 5/5 but this is supposed to be premium omakase. I've been to other Sushi Enya locations and had good experiences, so this was very disappointing. Stick to the rolls and nigiri.

From the very first bite, you could tell the quality was on another level. Every piece of fish tasted unbelievably fresh--like it had just come off the boat a couple of hours earlier. It's rare to find sushi that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate how clean, buttery, and flavorful it is. The salmon sashimi absolutely melted in my mouth and was one of the best I've had in a long time. The tuna was just as impressive, rich with incredible texture and freshness. Every roll and every piece of nigiri was prepared with so much care that it reminded me why I love sushi in the first place. You can really tell they take pride in the quality of their ingredients, and it shows in every bite. The experience went beyond just the food. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and had the perfect sushi spot vibe. I wish I could remember our server's name because they were fantastic--giving great recommendations, making us feel genuinely welcomed, and showing us so much hospitality throughout the meal. Service like that makes an already amazing meal even more memorable. Sushi Gen absolutely lived up to the hype, and I already know I'll be back to work my way through the rest of the menu. If you're looking for sushi that truly stands out, this is a place you have to experience.

It was definitely not what I've expected or ever experienced in a Japanese restaurant. We were quickly greeted by the staff and be seated by the wall. The upholstery of our seats were torn. The area where we were sitting was a bit too dark and could definitely add more lights for customers to see their menus. After giving a look at the menu, our server asked if we were ready. I said it's our first time so we need some time to look through the menu. She replied ok and left. We mainly ordered sushi items. Servers brought over each item one at a time. When I almost finished mine, my family is still waiting for theirs. You do see the staff walk by the tables constantly.
