    Poké 2 Scoops Bowl

Got a poké bowl and it was delicious! It is very filling and refreshing. I appreciate that you can take your time with filling out a sheet of everything you want in the bowl-- I got a lot of fresh toppings!

Food was fresh and delicious! It was very filling and not heavy. I appreciate the portions and presentation. The ladies were very kind and I appreciate the system of checking off everything you want. We took our own drinks and no issues there. Restaurant is on the smaller side (not many tables) but great if it's slow and/or if you want to pick up and eat at home or at a park. A little pricey but worth it!

This place was so surprisingly good, I'm writing this review as I'm eating. Poke'to is located in a plaza across the street from a Ralph's and adjacent a to Trader Joe's. Today is a Saturday and it's kind of a travesty that it's not packed. More for me, I guess? I ordered the 2-protein poke bowl with sushi rice, baked salmon, shrimp, imitation crab meat, cucumbers, green onions, crispy onions (excellent addition), corn, etc. Everything was so yummy and fresh. I'm the absolute opposite of a foodie and I think eating is kind of a chore so if I'm telling you a place is good and worth a visit, you gotta take my word for it. It's also picky eater friendly and I feel like there's something for everyone. Thank you for the good meal, Poke'to, I was pretty hungry.

My newest go-to poke spot. One of the best I've ever been to. I believe they recently opened, and I'm so happy they did. All the fish were so fresh and they serve pretty big portions. They had all the condiments/toppings available. Fast service and reasonably priced. Highly, highly, recommended!

DELICIOUS POKE! Good chunks and pieces of salmon. The manager is sweet. Right before diving into my bowl, i clumsily flipped the bowl in my hand and all the salmon came out. I offered to pay for the scoops of salmon, but he said it was okay. He helped me clean up. He was very kind and sweet to me even when I made such a silly mistake. I appreciate his business and I hope he gets more success! Thank you, kind man.

This place is super tasty and fresh! It's a choose your own adventure style of establishment, where you get to build your own dish! No bathroom on site that I noticed. There's a small parking lot out front. Price wise it can be a bit steep, but you get very big generous portions. I will say this time the scoops of fish to rice ratio was a little lacking, but usually they take good care of you. Delivery has been super prompt and fresh in the past!

I highly recommend getting the sauces on the side so you don't get smothered in them, especially the pancakes. Outside seating is a bit more fun, there is a door that slams so loudly you feel someone is banging on the wall. The service? Adequate. I would highly recommend a manager to walk around (or a server) greeting customers and making sure they have what they need. Lastly, the way they bring your food to the table is confusing for me. They ask for your name and then walk around calling you until they find you, I would recommend a number system. Overall a good experience.

Top Restaurant is…read moretucked into a small, rundown shopping center on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena and from the outside you'd never guess what's waiting inside. This is my third visit and every single time it delivers. This is an Indonesian/Hawaiian restaurant -- and a seriously impressive one. The menu spans both worlds, and no matter which direction you go, you're in for something special. Take out only, no tables, but trust me -- you won't care. The 4 Piece Indonesian Fried Chicken with rice is an absolute must. Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. The crust is insanely crispy, the seasoning is perfect, and the Indonesian dipping sauce ties it all together in a way that's completely unique. This alone is worth the drive. The Hawaiian plates are equally impressive. The short ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, the beef and chicken were perfectly marinated -- sweet, savory, and deeply flavorful. Everything comes with rice and a creamy mac salad, and the Hawaiian Sun drinks (Mango Orange and Strawberry Lilikoi) are the perfect companion to wash it all down. Plates run between $16-$20 but the portions are generous and the quality is exceptional -- you absolutely get your money's worth. The owner and cook are extraordinarily welcoming, and everything comes out hot and fresh every single time. Top Restaurant is a hidden gem of the highest order. If you're in Pasadena, make the trip.

Even after arriving, I almost changed my mind about ordering because the plaza itself looked very old and rough. I brought my girlfriend with me, and she was actually the one who said that since we were already there, we might as well try it. The restaurant is basically takeout only, and the inside is very simple and worn down. That said, the person taking our order was extremely friendly, which made the experience much better right away. After checking Yelp, I decided to order the Indonesian fried rice, BBQ chicken, and fried chicken. The fried rice was easily the highlight. I got it spicy, and it had a nice kick that made it feel more special. I'm not sure if this is part of the Indonesian style, but there were little bits of noodles mixed into the fried rice, which made it unique and really tasty. It also had a generous amount of meat inside, and the portion was huge. It was probably one of the best fried rice dishes I've had recently. The BBQ chicken was solid too. It had that tasty Hawaiian-style plate lunch feel, came with mac salad, and was seasoned well. The fried chicken was a little mixed for me. The crispy outside was good, but the chicken itself had a slight off taste, like it didn't feel as fresh as I hoped. Not terrible, but definitely not my favorite item. Overall, Top Restaurant surprised me in a good way. The place itself is very no-frills, but the fried rice alone makes it worth coming back. I'd definitely return for that.
